I grew up reading Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice, so I guess it's no surprise that I would fall for the angst-ridden love story of Kimberly and Shane. They were the one and only reason I started watching "Days" at the height of great writing on the show: the eighties. Their initial introduction, their backstories, their playfulness, the poetry, and especially the talented actors who portrayed them -- everything converted me into a lifelong Kim/Shane fan, which is why I was sorely disappointed at how things ended for them.
