My name is Lyssa, some of you may know me as HopelessRomantic or lyssamay from various other places. I'm a crazy teenager from Australia who probably spends too much time writing stories, and not enough time doing schoolwork and assignments. I love to write but I am usually shy of showing anyone other than my best friends because I don't think they're very good. I do most of my writing sporadically, any time and any where. I love a lot of different things, but I only write for a select few. Currently I have been writing mainly for Stargate, though I have been doing some for Doctor Who and Sanctuary. I am also an avid shipper, and have at least one ship in all my fandoms, most of the time more. My ships are characters I see who's chemistry interests me, whether they are the canon, or 'intended', ship or not. I don't care if I get flamed by other people, I stick by my ships. Most of my stories will be character, and relationship, based. And not just romantic relationships. It's because I love exploring the bonds between characters and these are the stories I write best. And it's not just because I am a hopeless romantic. If you are wondering about the spelling in my stories, I am Aussie so I use British English, though I'm sure there are difference in the Australian usage. However, when I am writing for characters who are from other countries I will use spellings that are correct for them. So basically I always use British English unless it's dialogue. Oh, and because I always forget to put this onto my stories - Anything recognisable (characters, places, etc) is not mine, they belong to people with lots of money. Any characters you don't recognise usually belong to me. Anything similar to something already written, or similar to real people is pure coincidence. Please don't sue me... Lyssa EDIT: Recently I have gone through all of my stories and fixed errors, mainly the punctuation of speech. This doesn't mean that I took them down and reuploaded them; I just fixed it then uploaded the edited file over the existing ones. So if you have ever read any of my stories, and then come back to them later to find that they are slightly different, that's the reason. Also if anyone is wondering, my avatar/display picture/thingamiewhatsit is of the wonderful Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean and is from part of the magical Six Gestures program they did with Yo-Yo Ma. In the Stargate universe (SG-1 and Atlantis and whatever else they decide to add) I have my own little Alternate Reality (not universe, mind you) that I started around halfway through the tenth and third seasons of SG-1 and Atlantis respectively. It has been dubbed 'Project Generation 2' or simply 'PG2'. Because the second halves of those seasons didn't exactly fit with PG2, I have altered some of the storylines, some slightly and some, in a few of the episodes, drastically. Stories for this are done randomly, as I get ideas and when I actually have the time to write. Each story may not be a full 'adventure' as such, but are just moments in the character's lives. PG2 has a time line, each season of both shows is taken as roughly a year, starting SG-1 season 1 in 1997 and on from there. PG2 starts halfway through Seasons 10 and 3 of SG-1 and Atlantis respectively, which is during 2006. For example, my story 'New Orders' is set on the 29th of December 2006 after the end of Season 10. Project Generation 2 deals mainly with interpersonal relationships between characters and, this is where the 'Generation 2' part comes in, the second generation. Most of the characters I write about in these stories are characters from the show, and therefore obviously don't belong to me. However I have added a few original characters of my own (other than the afore mentioned generation 2). And be warned, there will be many fanfic clichés in my series. Alien marriages, accidental male pregnancies, alien capture and experimentation... You name it, I will have it. I figure, if I'm gonna have my own timeline, diverted from canon, why not have every fanfic/sci-fi cliché in the book in it? That said, I hope you enjoy the stories! EDIT: Wouldn't you know it, Atlantis's PTB decided to name a ship Phoenix!! However, theirs is a Daedalus class, not Prometheus like mine. Still, heck of a coincidence!
