Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter.

I hate the 'please introduce yourself' mantle, but I guess that's how we get to know each other, right? So, this is a little about me.

I've been writing my own material now since about grade eight, although I've never published anything. It would be the ultimate dream to actually be published, even if it never went as far as say, Clive Cussler, or J.K. Rowling (two of my favourite authors). Just the same, it is a true art to be able to create a world, then draw your audience into it, and have them screaming for more.

So what kind of material do I like? Take a look at the two authors I mentioned in the paragraph above. Very different worlds, hmmm? As a kid, I loved Roald Dahl. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (btw, I thought Johnny Depp made a wonderful Willy Wonka); James and the Giant Peach; Danny, Champion of the World. All wonderful books. Another I liked was a younger author, Gordon Korman (sp?). His works may not be available outside of Canada. Look up a title "This Can't be Happening at McDonald Hall!".

Reading of course, eventually inspired my own creations. I used to lay in bed at night, visualizing my own worlds, if you will. Not dragons and magic so much at that point, but just, creating my own universe, scenarios, and so on. Sometimes I would dream those ideas, but it never occured to me I should start writing things down until grade eight, as mentioned above.

I don't remember too much about my early pieces, although I wish I still had them, just to refer back and see how far I have come, how much I have developed my skill. That's for another day, however. This, is here and now.

My current project, that I have been working on for over 2 years, is something called "Chronicles of Mesacenturia". I plan on sharing that material here, since I do believe it to be an amazing piece of work, worthy of sharing, rather than keeping it locked away for only my enjoyment. I have two pieces I will be sharing simutaneously: the main storyline, and a later 'Chronicle', hence the title of the works. I'm about to exercise the very design of the world; to have pieces written as an aside to the main plot, possibly running parallel to it, if that makes any sense.

At some point, when more of the story has been revealed, I will welcome community additions to it, although of course, I wouldn't turn anything away at any point (grin). Point though, is that I would want the community to have a good grasp of how Mesacenturia works, before trying to manipulate it, if you will.

So, there you have it. That is me, I'm glad to have become part of the community.

This was posted in someone else's profile, and it caught my attention:
I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
I am the girl whose friends no longer let me hug them when I told them I was bisexual.
I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.
I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.
I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.
I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.
I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.
I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.
I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I did not have to always deal with society hating me.
I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.
I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.
I am the person who is afraid of telling his loving Christian parents he loves another male.
Re-post this if you believe homophobia is wrong. Please do your part to end it.

Thanks.

Homophobia/racism/classism (insert ...ism here) has no place in the modern world.

Alright, an update is in order. "Canadian Intervention", although it's been somewhat fun to write, has so many flaws, it's not funny. Plot holes, MarySue-ism, and well, just not a good clear plot direction. Lack of reviews, including the one very scathing review I got, is a good indicator this was a failure. So, in a nutshell, I'm pretty much scrapping the story, and starting over. I've been taking more than a few notes, hoping to give "Canadian Intervention" a better direction, something that readers will better enjoy. Those of you who have been following "Canadian Intervention", I encourage you to put me in your author alert list, so you will be notified when the new version is posted. I will be removing the current version of the story in 30 days.

"Chronicles of Mesacenturia - The Rift", is just on hiatis... not sure when I'll get back to that one, I'm afraid... but it's not being deleted.
