You will notice, my avatar has been changed to reflect my current project, which I've now settled on a firm name: "HARRY POTTER and the Daedric Artefact". Once I get a few more chapters written, I will begin posting it, so do stay tuned.

An update on my new project, tentatively called "Out of This World". Rather than a post DH story, as I'd originally planned, it will be post-year-5, with Harry spending 4 years in Azkaban. Yes, I know, there are so many of those ones, but anyway. Don't know if Harry's escaped using the method I'm about to use! The summary then...

"A Daedric artefact helps Harry escape from Azkaban prison. Revenge, love, vindication, and chaos result, not necessarily in that order. Bashing, dark!Harry. x-over with 'Sunshine' and TES5: Skyrim"

"Temporal Boundary Invasions" now has a COMPLETE tag. Still owe myself a beer or three, but that'll wait until the weekend. Yes, after two+ years working on it, it's finally done. There are of course, sections I know I could have done much better, but the story has run its course, and in the end, I'm happy with how it concluded. I have moved on to a new project, although it may be some time before it gets posted. I will say, it will be post Deathly Hallows, and a couple of characters and 'universes' will make a second appearance. Namely, Mace, from "Sunshine", and my player character from TES5: Skyrim, Mazhe. It will likely be a little shorter than TBI, and will follow some of the Skyrim quest lines. I should stress, Harry will NOT be the Dragonborn, LOL. Naturally, he'll still find loads of ways to get into trouble!

"Temporal Boundary Invasions": I have picked it up again, after removing three chapters from the end. I'd painted myself into a corner, didn't like the direction, and so apologize to anyone who did actually enjoy those. I've taken things in a different direction, and now have some idea on how things will come to a close, at least as far as the 'cosmic treasure hunt' is concerned. I may also have an interesting solution to Voldemort, but you'll all have to wait & see.

Many of you will notice I have changed my pen name to something a little more appropriate considering my tastes. 'CanuckSlashNut' much better fits my standing and my tastes... the pen name I have been using here for the past few years is old... as in VERY old, over 10 years old as a matter of fact, created from tastes I really have no interest in anymore. Therefore, the change. If you've got me bookmarked, you'll need to update them.

Still having a blast writing "Temporal Boundary Invasions", since there are so many places I can go with it. Things are coming a little slower at the moment, so updates may be a little slower, but I haven't stopped work on it by any means.

I hate the 'please introduce yourself' mantle, but I guess that's how we get to know each other, right? So, this is a little about me.

I've been writing my own material now since about grade eight, although I've never published anything. It would be the ultimate dream to actually be published, even if it never went as far as say, Clive Cussler, or J.K. Rowling (two of my favourite authors). Just the same, it is a true art to be able to create a world, then draw your audience into it, and have them screaming for more.

So what kind of material do I like? Take a look at the two authors I mentioned in the paragraph above. Very different worlds, hmmm? As a kid, I loved Roald Dahl. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (btw, I thought Johnny Depp made a wonderful Willy Wonka); James and the Giant Peach; Danny, Champion of the World. All wonderful books. Another I liked was a younger author, Gordon Korman (sp?). His works may not be available outside of Canada. Look up a title "This Can't be Happening at McDonald Hall!".

Reading of course, eventually inspired my own creations. I used to lay in bed at night, visualizing my own worlds, if you will. Not dragons and magic so much at that point, but just, creating my own universe, scenarios, and so on. Sometimes I would dream those ideas, but it never occurred to me I should start writing things down until grade eight, as mentioned above.

I don't remember too much about my early pieces, although I wish I still had them, just to refer back and see how far I have come, how much I have developed my skill. That's for another day, however. This, is here and now.

So, there you have it. That is me, I'm glad to have become part of the community.
