Favorite Pairings

Naruto:

Naruto and Hinata - I love those sappy movies where the timid or mousey best friend gets the girl/guy. I reality who is better for you. The one who has been there all along and has loved and taken care of you? Or the hot new whoever that will never see you for who you really are because you will never feel comfortable being anything other than who you think that they want you to be.? Besides they are primed to heal each others hurts better than anyone else.

Either it wiil be a dominant/submissive relationship with a Kyuubi-influenced Naruto as the dominant. Or it will be two innocents against a cruel tainted world growing together. Or the rarest and my favorites two seemingly innocent yet plotting and vicious schemers looking to topple the pillars of power around them.

Naruto and Sakura - Only the most well written ones where they have been with others and grown up a bit first. After seeing life and figuring out who they are and what they want. Also Sakura has to make some serious amends. None of that crying and groveling then they are doing it like bunnies crap. No! Crying groveling and a few years of some serious growth as a human being. Or Sakura is VERY OC!

Naruto and Ino - She will keep them on his toes and challenge him a bit. He will take her down a notch or two from her perch as queen of the spoiled brats. A true match. Hidden potential for two very unique characters.

Naruto and Tayuya or Naruto and Anko - Mostly in more Kyuubi-influenced or "Dark Naruto Fics". Their relationship would be volatile, dysfunctional, and a bit violent on both their parts (Rough sex mainly, maybe some BSDM), but no doubt a loving one.All are really screwed up incomplete people. The woman with which he could take over the world in a bloody siege.

Naruto and Ayame - Dark horse pairing but very solid and heartwarming.

Naruto and Tsunade - Same as Naru/Tay and Naru/Anko but less violent. Main difference would be more inner demons coming into play on both their parts. Naruto as Tsunade's last chance at love and Tsunade as his best chance for real love. Mostly works in reduced-age fics or Kyuubi-influenced Naruto fics. But in canon fics is a bit of a stretch.

Naruto and Shizune - Same as Naru/Ayame and A bit of Naru/Hina. Works Best as Threesome with Tsunade. I know I am a Perv at times. But isn't everyone?

Naruto and Female Kyuubi - oh the possibilities...

Note: that all Naruto parings work equally as well if not better with Naruto as a female and would probably add more emotion depth to the relationships (What can I say I am a very heterosexual male who is just as much as hentai as he is a romantic.)

Sakura and Ino - make more sense than Naru/Saku given their history. I can see Sakura folding under social/societal pressure to repress her feelings for Ino to chase an acceptable partner in Sasuke. Ino is definitely the dominant personality in this relationship. A solid pairing for either a Sakura and/or Ino-centric fic.

Sakura and Hinata - Read a few that were good besides for the obvious hentai reasons. It is a solid pairing for a Sakura-centric fic. Maybe some Saku/Naru/Hina or better yet Naru/Hina/Saku

Anko and Kurenai - I see Anko as Kurenai's inner child (which she seems to have lost years ago for whatever reason) and her adventurousness. Kurenai is Anko's maturity and pragmatism. Plus I see the pairing as two kuniochi who seek comfort in each other when the men around them are macho, inattentive, and probably too chauvinistic to stomach. Plus with the duties of a kunoichi being what they are... seeking comfort in the arms and bed of a strong woman who understands you would make sense.

Anko and most women in Naruto verse - for some of the same reasons as she would be with Kurenai. Anko has been through Hell in Konoha. Probably suffered some abuse at the hands of male villagers and shinobi alike. She would be more likely to loose respect for the gender with a few exceptions. Maybe bed one or two males (out of a very exclusive and very short list of those she still has respect for and trusts) occasionally, but for relationship she would seek out a woman. Just my take on it.

Naruto, Sakura and Ino - basically the only way a Naru/Saku relationship could work in their teens and early twenties. Would include a heavy Saku/Ino factor. This threesome would work best if Naruto was not the focus of the relationship with Sakura and ino sharing him. I see it more as Naruto and Ino sharing Sakura or Naruto and Sakura sharing Ino (Naruto/Sakura/Ino or Naruto/Ino/Sakura is how i would list it). Ino would be the buffer between Naruto and Sakura forcing the two of them to grow up. The situation would most likely force Ino to mature and become less selfish as well.

Tsunade and Jiraiya - Only if there is real love between them. Otherwise I would just make references to their flings and not go into detail about it. Since two people their age who can't get themselves together enough to have a real relationship with each other or anyone else is just pathetic.

Shikamaru and Temari - well pretty much everybody understands this one

Neji and Ten Ten - I actually think of it as Ten Ten and Neji. She is possibly the only female In the Narutoverse capable of dislodging that stick from his hind-parts (well that he would willingly allow to do so)

Ino and Choji - The princess needs a sweet guy like Choji to break her of her shallow ideas about life and romance. Not to mention that it is the same premise as the Naru/Hina and Harry/Hermione pairings. Best friends offer the most potential for a long healthy relationship if not marriage - provided your BFF is a decent person and you are attracted to them emotionally. The emotional attraction eclipses the physical by enhancing it beyond mere attraction. Love requires friendship to work. That is the reason that Naru/Saku canon pairing can not work without a great deal of further character development. They are not really friends.

There are lots of parings that work if written well. Harems are okay as long as there is a decent story involved. Or, is well written PWP or PWALP (porn-with-a-little-plot).

Harry Potter:

But that is what fanfiction is for right?

Harry and Luna - Two broken people who find and can truly heal each other.

Harry, Luna and Hermione - combination of the above. Works with either Harry, Hermione or Luna as the focus of the threesome.

Harry and Tonks - similar to Naru/Anko Paring

Harry and Narcissa and or Bellatrix - Dark lord or just Grey Harry. Similar to Dark Lord Naruto senario would work best for this paring or threesome. Threesome would definitely include Cissa/Bella in the darker fics.

Harry and Slytherin girl - Grey or Dark Lord Harry.

Harry harem - not a massive unending thing. A select few powerful witches, magical humanoid females or even muggles who bring something to the table besides the obvious. In darker fics like Bluer that Indigo have a master/slave Harem. Some members of the Harem - mainly canon enemies (Edgecombe, Parkinson, Black sisters, etc.) are purely slaves/sex-slaves or servants/soldiers not really mates. I prefer using the slaves esp DE's as soldiers or disposable assassins

Harry and Cho Chang - only if Cho kicks butt (not necessarily M.A., but not canon Cho)

Harry and Su Li - wait for it

Harry and Padma - she would push him mentally as would most of the Slytherin girls.

Harry and Pavarti - only as a fling or part of a threesome with his girlfriend unless extremely well written and Pavarti is OC

Hermione and Ginny - Teen girls in boarding school or anywhere else for that matter have needs and probably don't want some jackass spreading rumors about them by bragging if they seek out someone to fulfill those needs. They are best friends or could be. Ginny would help Hermione get comfortable with being more girly within reason of course and Hermoine would help Ginny to become more independent.

Hermoine:

I always saw Hermione as gay or bi-sexually leaning more toward females for some reason. I mean it makes a lot more sense than her available choices at Hogwarts. She is far too intelligent not to explore all of her oprtions. especially given her lack of acceptable options.

Note: The only way that I see Harry and Ginny working is a threesome focused around Hermione Similar to the friendship between the three in the time trave fic - .'One Hundred and Forty Two Almost Twelve'. Ginny could maybe help Harry and Hermione discover what they never seemed to get to enjoy - a real childhood

Hermione and Luna - Same reasons as HrG/GW. Luna would also open up Hermione's mind to the possibilities of the world outside of her pedestrian understanding through books. Hermione would help Luna to keep herself grounded. And it just seems like the best pairing next to HP/LL

Harmione and Padma - Same reasons as HrG/GW relationship. They are also equals intellectually and it always seemed the most logical love interest for Hermione besides HP/HrG, HrG/LL HrG/Slytherin Girl

Most Yuri pairings - male cannon characters in HP seem to be block-headed, chauvinistic and completely unworthy of their female schoolmates with a few exceptions. I sympathize with women having to put up with us men. If I was born a woman I would have hopefully been a lesbian. I actually prefer my female friends (strictly platonic relationships actually) to the guys except at those decidedly guy times unless the chick is cool (see tomboy). But I am a heterosexual male, so what else is to be expected.

Pairings I don't really connect with:

Naruto:

Naru/Saku - I have already stated the only conditions under which I find this paring acceptable

Naru/Sasu - No Not even if Naruto was female. Never! Sasuke is not a good enough person for Naruto. Even if the little emo-teme lived forever he would never be good enough (traitorous coward)

Naru or Harry and any male no matter what gender they are - just seems wrong

Harry Potter:

Ron and Hermione - an episode of COPS waiting to happen. Many fics explore what I feel would be that natural conclusion of this pairing - violence, abuse, and/or divorce hopefully with no children involved. Ron needs some serious help with his anger and inadequacy issues and to get the complete Hell away from Molly while doing it.

Hermione and Draco - I can barely wrap my head around a fic where Draco is a good guy, much less with Hermione consensually paired with him. He would have to be very OC or she would have to be the next Dark Lady with Draco as one of her little b_es.

Hermione and Snape? willingly? - aaaaaaah...nah!

Most Yaoi pairings - just not my thing. I am okay with them as part of a story (unless Naruto or Harry is part of the pairing) but not really into yaoi lemons or limes. Though I will concede that some of the fics with yaoi pairings of the main characters (Naruto or Harry) are some of the best written that I have read. If the lemons or limes are a problem for you, then do like I do - read around them. The stories themselves are usually worth it.

Any citrus that takes place between characters before the age of 16 that is not age appropriate. I may be a perv but somethings are just wrong. A few fics are examples of borderline appropriate stuff but well explained and somewhat acceptable within the context. For realism sake - Stuff we were doing at that age that would not get anybody 'preggers', sick or mentally/emotionally/physically stunted or scarred is okay. Others just jump right into lemons that should wait until the characters are at least 16. Some age appropriate limes would work if you are going for realism.

I am currently working one a couple of Harry Potter stories and a Naruto story. I am am outlining and writing them now. It also a bit of research. They is some crossover but not much - few borrowed concepts or characters scattered sparingly. In one of the HP fics, Harry will be very well versed in Chinese Internal Martial Arts ( I am obsessed with them).. I do not own these clips or the original video media from whence they came or the rights to the original performances in the clips. For those Naruto fans who are unterested - Hyuuga Ryu Juuken (Hyuuga Style Gentle fist) is a bastardisation of Baguzhang (not sure which style) and some muddled forms of Taijiquan.

It all begins when a 4 year old boy is visited by a very pissed off spirit...

Harrison is abused by his relatives and as a result, he later discovers why they call him a "freak". He searches for some explanation for "weird" things that keep happening. Recurring dreams of conversations with a strange woman and a young girl (he thinks) are his only comfort and guidance.

Female Darth Revan stranded on earth helps found 2 schools for magiks among other "projects". More realistic tech in star wars universe. For Example - light sabres are actual swords that can be superheated for very short periods of time to cut through armored enemies and droids. Also, lasers are for industrial cutting and mining only as they are freaking huge and very expensive. Projectile weapons and blades are for warfare.

Not the typical HP/Jedi/Sith story. Some Jedi lore woven into magikal history and mythology (Revan is very old and had lived on earth for a centuries before passing on around the early 1900's). Yes, the movies do exist in this story.

Manipulative/Evil Dumbledore (works for the story), no intentional bashing, but I really don't like Ron or Malfoy, esp. Ron. What kind of loser pisses away a gift as great as the power to weild magic? Ron Weasley disgusts me as a person. I did not like his character at all while reading the series (canon).

But you will never guess who the worst villain is. And What does the Heir of Griffindor have to do with anything? Who is it?!. How... or better yet WHY did Harrison survive the Killing curse as a baby?

A Multi-part series complete with side adventures and some cool x-over concepts. There will be characters from some other books, movies, manga, anime, etc...However their particular universe will not exist for this story unless otherwise stated. I will mostly be using names, concepts, or isolated events for historical background of my Potter-verse.

Harrison will not be super Harry-Stu, but he will eventually be powerful. And yes there will be training sections that will make you wince. The hero has got to come by his power legitimately, doesn't he? Only the bad guys take short cuts...LOL

The deck will be stacked in the bad guys favor of course. Because of the length and breadth of this story it will be epic. There will be many parts fitted together to make the whole. I'll try to surprise you a bit.

Unbeknown to him an approving aunt looks on. After getting his Hogwarts letter, he makes his way to school where he meets a young girl whose parents also disapprove of her powers and have taken to avoid the abomination that was once their child (Bigoted religious fanatics) The trio is later completed by a another young girl who is all but broken by grief, loss, and loneliness.

Since I am new to writing I have hit a wall. I am trying to finish my 5th chapter of the first part of the HP story. After looking over my notes am seeing a leaning toward Mary-Sueisms so I am reworking all chapters to clean it up. Trying to cut out the duex ex machinas as well. I want it to be a fun fantasy story yet somewhat realistic (not so out there). So I am re-writing my outline while going over the four notebooks of notes and plot bunnies that I have written these past two years in order to trim the fat and find a clear direction for the story and its characters. Sorry for the delay. this is my first story and I want it to be really good.

I am not expecting to be on par with FF.net greats but I am trying to put my best out there. My one-shot was okay and has gotten a lot of positive feedback, but there are many mistakes in it that I see repeated in the story that I am working on now. Therefore, I will get back to work and see if I can get some chapters posted in the next few months.
