I am VampyKaee23 hear me roar Media ~ Ever After Happily Cover Page: http://notwhour.deviantart.com/art/Ever-After-Happily-126267316 (New) Ever After Happily Cover Page II: http://notwhour.deviantart.com/art/Ever-After-Happily-Cover-II-134948779 Ever After Happily teaser: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZOY2PGs1og About Me ~ My penname comes from the word "vamp" meaning to "change something to make it different" and since pretty much all I do with fanfiction is AU, I thought it fit. Kaee is my name, pretty simple. Finally, 23, the numbers 2 and 3 are close together on my keyboard. That's all. How do I look? Do you really need to know that? All righty, I'm a short brunette teenager. I'm not skinny, but I'm not fat either, I'm proportioned, is how I like to see it. I have pale skin and brown eyes. I'm not, by any means, pretty, but I'm not ugly either. I think I've got a decent enough look when I care to style my hair (which isn't often) So yeah. That's what Kaee looks like. Any more questions? I love fairy tales! Not the Disney versions, those are all happy all the time. I like the original versions with blood, gore, dark themes, ect. I've been on this planet some years, but was born on Jupiter during the summer of 1995. I'm a musical theater junkie. Translated, that means; geek. I recently learned that there is a Narnia musical! I'm so happy! I'm a rather happy person, I think, always up for a chat. Talk to me, and I'll definitely talk to you. I'm just a girl possessed by plot bunnies. =) I know I'm not the most talented writer on the face of this planet (or any of the others, for that matter; especially Neptune, all the Neptunians have a way with words. Stupid Neptune) but words really are my passion, so I'd say that first and foremost my purpose on this site is to become a better author. =) So, if you have any tips or suggestions for me, by all means, PM me! Other than that, my purpose on this site is to entertain others and be entertained with numerous fanfictions. Though I'm not the best speller in the world, nor the most grammatically correct person, I simply cannot stand it when people misspell simple words such as "medieval" "definitely" or "misspell. On a random note, I think that the Raving Rabbids are the most retarded things on the face of the planet, right in their deserving place before SpongeBob SquarePants Q&A ~ Random Announcer Dude: Tell us, Kaee, what your opinions are on these topics. First, Mary Sues. Kaee: Don't even get me started. They're so retarded, I have no idea who invented the first Mary Sue, but they need to be slapped. They're all the same little elfish princess with floor-length pink hair and a five hundred-word name! Seriously, who in the world would fall for somebody like that? RAD: Okay...what about flamers? Kaee: Honestly, I think that they know what they’re doing. Writing is a talent, and it can’t be learned. I’m not saying that I’m so great at writing, but I know that I’m good at it, and I’m not afraid to say so. Some people just don’t get the fact that they aren’t good at it, and they need somebody to tell them so. I’m not saying that I quite agree with the methods or idea of flaming, but I think that some people just need to face up to the fact that they weren’t born for writing. If there was a nicer way, I think that it should be used, but I’ve yet to come across a method to tell someone that they cannot do something that they think that they can without hurting their feelings. RAD: Crossovers? Kaee: Recently, my opinion on crossovers has been changed completely. I used to hate them, but now I realize that if they’re crafted correctly, that they can be very entertaining! So, yeah, I won’t go out looking for them, but if you’re writing a crossover that you need a good thorough review for, just send me a link! RAD: How do you review? Kaee: Typically, I open up the review window before I start and review as I go. I give my opinions and thoughts on certain lines or phrases that I liked throughout it, and then at the end I give my opinion of the chapter overall. I focus on story, phrasing, and descriptions for the most part. Typically, I ignore spelling mistakes unless they reoccur about a half a million times. RAD: OCs? Kaee: This is fanfiction, people. You're already using somebody else's world and characters, do you really need to mess those carefully planned characters up? Anyway, most fan-universes have enough characters of enough variety to keep a story going. What's up with all the Edmund/OC, Peter/OC, and Caspian/OC in the Narnia section? I mean, just in the Narnia fan-universe, we can make all these great pairings without putting our own little Mary-Sue's into them. Seriously, there's the awesome (and canon) Caspian/Ramandu's daughter, and in AU Peter/Susan and Edmund/Lucy can get some great stories out of them, and you can even do something as wacky as Edmund/Lasaraleen if your feeling colorful. Why make your own character when there's so much to choose from? RAD: Slash? Kaee: I don't approve of it. I'm not homophobic, but the thing is, within fanfictions, it tends to get vulgar, and therefore, I don't read it. If you want to read or write slash, be my guest, just don’t expect me to read it. RAD: Incest? (A big deal for the Narnia fan-universe) Kaee: I prefer it when people put siblings in AU if they're together and make them not related. Still, I can read it, and if the story's got a strong plot, I may even enjoy it. It takes a bit though. RAD: PWP? Kaee: I hate it. If you're going to make two characters get it on, please have a valid reason for it (getting them drunk doesn't cut it), and a strong plot to match it! Even then, if something like that needs to be in the story for the plot to work, there's this lovely little thing called censorship. Use it, love it, feed it melons. RAD: What kind of stuff do you write? Kaee: Currently, Chronicles of Narnia AU. RAD: Your favorite pairings? Kaee: In ‘Narnia,’ I like Peter/Susan, Edmund/Lucy (in AU) Aravis/Cor or Shasta or whatever you like to call him, Eustace/Jill, Digory/Polly, Mr Beaver/Mrs Beaver, and Bree/Hwin. In other things, I like Merlin/Morgana and Arthur/Gwen in BBC's 'Merlin', for the show I used to be crazy about ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ I like Toph/Sokka, Zuko/Katara, Aang/Meng, and Katara/Aang. For ‘That 70's Show’ I like Jackie/Kelso (sorry, I can't stand Jackie/Hyde for the most part) Eric/Donna, and (weirdly enough) Jackie/Fez RAD: Harry Potter or Twilight? Kaee: Give me Narnia. Hehe, which would be my first choice. If I were forced to choose between HP or Twilight, I'd probably choose HP. I'm not crazy about it (for example, I don't decorate my room like it, or any other of the crazy stuff I do for Narnia) but I do read the books and see the movie once in theaters as an excuse to get out of the house. Whereas, I hate Twilight. The stories been told a thousand times before, an almost emo hot chick moves to a new town where she hates it, all of her friends fall over her, but she only has eyes for the sexy as hell ominous guy who turns out to be a vampire. Yawn. Also, vampires shouldn't be disgraced enough to glitter in the sun. What the hell are they supposed to be? Gay little finger painters? RAD: How dare you dislike Twilight! Do you like anything concerning vampires? Kaee: Yes, I like vampires. I don't believe in them in real life, of course, they're strictly fantasy. I do like the series Moonlight, Dracula by Bram Stoker, I like the movies Van Helsing, The Little Vampire (little Anna Popplewell was so adorable!) Mom's Got A Date With A Vampire, Dracula, and Interview With A Vampire RAD: Summaries? Kaee: Well, they are probably one of the most important things to get people to read your story, and yet, they're so hard to write! Summaries and titles attract me, if your story doesn't have an attracting summary or title; chances are I won't read it. RAD: Ninjas or Pirates? Kaee: Funny you ask that. Once I had an hour-long discussion with a friend about the ups and downs of both Ninjas and Pirates. So, we decided that the thing to pwn all the universe would be a Ninja-Pirate in Space.
