I am Syrus and I have been a member of the fandom for some years now. My favorite book is The Lord of the Rings, my favorite film is The Prisoner of Azkaban, my favorite TV show is Doctor Who, my favorite anime/manga is the Naruto series, and my favorite cartoon/comic is Teen Titans. More importantly, my favorite fanfic is Time Braid by ShaperV. It's fucking awesome.

My presence is not what it used to be, but I'll be getting back to my stories eventually. I had a quaint little forum where you could usually find me, but it's gone now. I did it for my own good. PM me if you wish.

Seems like FFN's administration doesn't like direct emails any longer. Such is life. It's actually probably my fault for pissing off Flame Rising & Co. with my secret email-viewing trick. No, I'm serious. Used to be so easy too.

I don't do much beta work anymore but I still try to write when I can.

Writing:

It's a work in progress. I have two stories posted, because my old stuff was crap and I haven't written anything new yet. I barely published a new chapter just recently for the adopted story, Princess of the Bewitched Fox and I'll be going back at some point to refurbish the old chapters. Don't be surprised if I change some things. If you see something in a later chapter that contradicts something you read, then go back and reread it. I might toss up a couple stat sheets for my stories if I get back into the habit of updating and writing new ones. I hope to complete another chapter in the near future. It'll go on for fifteen or twenty chapters and then I think I'll wrap it up. After that, I want to readdress The Hurricane Chronicles, and expand on its original theme as a novelization of the canon. After that, I'll go on to write another long one and a bunch of one-shots in between. But who knows when that'll happen.

A Thousand Years of Pain is a big slice of cheese, and it's written that way on purpose. Anybody familiar with the Naruto canon will instantly get it. Everybody else kinda won't. By the way, I'll definitely be producing new and better fanfics when the impetus seizes me. I've had many horrendously awesome ideas lately, and I can't wait to implement them. I've got an idea for this Warhammer 40k/Sailor Moon crossover fixfic, this Naruto AU where Sasuke and Naruto trade places thematically, and one in which everything in the Narutoverse is actually as gritty and "realistic" throughout as it appeared in the beginning, plus all the ridiculous, loonytoons-esque humor and characterization without any of the flanderization or the inconsistency canon and fanon both rely on. It's gonna be a monumental project, but I also want to add to and complete everything I already started. I also wanna do one of those groundhog day timeloop stories I've become so taken with, but all that in good time. There's an original fic I'd like to push though the presses in the next few months as well, so forgive the obscenely long waits. I want to be the best I can at what I do, when I do it.

There's a couple new stories I'm working on right now, in addition to the updates I work diligently (lol) upon. Again, I apologize for taking such a long time between posts, but believe me when I say that it will be worth the wait. I removed chapter 5 of PotBF for a reason, by the way. It's not forever. Just until I'm happy with everybody's interactions and with my own characterization and plot development. As it stood, they sucked mildly. Just sit tight. Life's been pretty crazy for me.
