July 20, 2008--> Working diligently on Starting From Scratch, preparing myself for the most stressful year of my young life, spending too much money on my first classroom, and apparently killing many readers with a slew of cliffhangers. This is the last one. I swear. :-)
New Fanart!!--> Bishihuntress created an absolutely amazing anime clip for Chapter 10 of EE! It looks like a little movie. I love it! Thanks so much! Here's the link:

Note: Chapters 1-4 of SfS have been revised, as well as Chapters 1-6 of Emerald Eyes. Check them out if you'd like. I revise my stuff regularly so chances are if a chapter looks different, I've been tampering with it. (Wiggles fingers)
Story Synopses:
Starting From Scratch is a non-slash guardian story that focuses on the relationship between Harry and Sirius that I wish would have taken place. I began writing this a few weeks after I finished reading Deathly Hallows, and somehow, it's helped fill the void. This story does contain a bit of corporal punishment; however, the bond that develops between godfather and godson is much more profound than the discipline. I love writing this story. For some reason it calms me down. It may sound odd, but I relate so well to the adult that Sirius is struggling to become and the child that Harry is trying to rediscover. I'm all about realism, so if you like reading realistic dialogue and situations, give this story a shot.
Emerald Eyes is a non-slash story that focuses heavily on Harry Potter and Severus Snape. I always felt that Severus really got the short end of the stick when expecting to protect Harry without question. I mean, let's face it, the kid ran wild all over the school and Snape had to chase him down inconspicously each time. So I decided to experiment--creating a story in which Severus keeps a firm hand on Harry, not just because he is Lily's son, but also because Severus realizes that Harry is the wizarding world's only hope and must be disciplined to succeed. I try to keep Harry and Snape in canon as much as possible. This story is full of angst and hurt/comfort, a bit of humor, and loads of realistic, twelve-year-old Harry. And I love writing it.
Finally, I have been completely floored and humbled by all of your thoughtful reviews and emails. Feedback is the most encouraging thing for a writer, and I appreciate the time so many of you take to provide me with that. Thank you.
