I'm Persephone1 (pronounced Per-Sef-un-ee, in case you were wondering).

For all of you that might be wondering about the origin of my name, here's the very abridged story of Persephone:

In Greek mythology, Persephone was the daughter of Demeter, the goddess of the harvest. One day, Persephone was out picking flowers with some nymphs when she was kidnapped by Hades, god of the Underworld. There he held Persephone captive, forcing her to become his bride. Demeter was so sad that her daughter was missing that she stopped everything from growing, until finally Zeus intervened. Hades agreed to give Persephone back, as long as she didn't eat or drink anything while in the Underworld. However, he left some pomegranates out for Persephone to find, and the girl ended up eating a few seeds. In the end, Persephone returned to her mother, but for each seed she ate, she had to stay the same number of months in the Underworld every year. And each time she leaves Demeter's side, the goddess once again becomes depressed and stops everything from growing. This story is how the Greeks explained the change of the seasons.

Now on to more important things...

I can't even tell you how much I love fanfiction. I've been a lurker on this site for years before ever actually attempting to write anything of my own. But writing is my passion, and I can be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my work. Therefore you can expect me to edit it regularly.

My other great love is anime. In fact, you could pretty much call it an obsession. I love cartoons in general, but the Japanese ones are closest to my heart (these days, cartoons I've been seeing from America suck big time). I know it might be a little odd to care so much about fictional characters, but they're real to me, and that's all that matters. I hope my passion for the characters reflects in my writing.

Yaoi: Shockingly, there was a time where I didn't like slash pairings. But after reading one good Sonadow story, there was just no going back. I blame Kamirine Goddess for converting me. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy a good het pairing though.

Fav books: Twilight series (don't hold that against me please), A Great and Terrible Beauty and sequals, the Pellinor series, the Mortal Instruments series, and more that I could put down, but then this list would go on forever

Things I Hate

In General: Stereotypes, cliches, racism, sexism, anime females who do absolutely nothing, movies that are solely meant for humor and have no plot, out of control dubbing, gum, PE class, people who like things just because they're "trendy", and people who hate things just because they're popular

On this site: OOCness, character death, main character OCs, crappy AUs, Mary Sues, people who discontinue their stories and don't tell their readers, badly written crossovers, and for the most part m-preg (I love boy on boy pairings, but I can't get past the believability factor, plus I believe that child birth should exclusively belong to females)

Incest: I love family fluff, but I rarely ever read incest (and by incest, I mean sibling on sibling. Cousins don't count.) It's a little too weird for my tastes. If I do read something with incest, it's because it is extremely well-written and I consider it plausible.

Projects on Hiatus

Love Hate and Everything in Between: It's not looking good. I'm not really interested in Sonic the Hedgehog much anymore, so it's hard to work on this. Hopefully inspiration will hit me again one day, but I wouldn't count on it.

Living for a Better Yesterday: I'm so sorry! I've lost the flow of the story, and I've got so many other things I want to work on. I wasn't lying when I said I want to finish this. I really really do, but writing it just isn't fun for me right now. I don't like anything I've written in my attempts, and I don't want to post something of inferior qualtiy just to get through it, so I'm going on indefinite hiatus. For anyone still waiting for an update, please forgive me!
