| King Caspian the Seafarer |
Author has written 28 stories for Chronicles of Narnia, and Lord of the Rings. A battle is being fought. Here, now; in this very hour. A battle between good, and evil; light and darkness. A battle that will eventually be won by the Light. Which side are you on? I am called King Caspian of Narnia. I am on the side of the One True King. He is known by many names; Aslan in Narnia, Eru in Middle Earth, and so many more. Here, even in this world, He has many names. Do you know Him here? He is sometimes called a Lion, and a Lamb. He is the Son of the Great "Emperor-beyond-the-sea". He created this world. He died for those who betrayed Him; gave His life so that they might be free to live with Him forever. He is at the back of all the stories; He is the Author of life. He watches over us in our darkest hour. Even when we cannot hear His voice, and He seems to have disappeared, He is there...watching us and protecting us between his "paws". And He will return, one day, to defeat evil for good, and bring His Kingdom into glory. Do you know his name? If not, PM me. I'd love to tell you. A little bit about me: Greetings, noble reader. I am a Narnian that is stuck for the time being in this world. King Caspian the Tenth is my favorite character in the Chronicles of Narnia (hence my pen name). The Caspian in my imagination does not look like Ben Barnes. My Caspian is blond and has a British accent. Very different from Ben Barnes. ;) I am eagerly awaiting the release of the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the next installment in the movie series, which is supposed to come out December 10, 2010. Click here to watch my Voyage of the Dawn Treader preview trailer on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IU00DywupBI I really really really really (add about 700 more 'reallys') love the Chronicles of Narnia. I have knocked on the back of my closet (replacement for a wardrobe) countless times, and still do every now and then. ;) I am a Christian as well as a Narnian, so any Christian themes in my stories are actually real to me. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes." Romans 1:16 As a Christian, I believe that Jesus is the One and Only Son of God, that he came to earth and died on the cross to free us of our sins, rose from the dead on the third day, and went to heaven to be with God. I believe that he is the Only Way to Heaven. I also believe that everything the Bible says is true. My favorite authors are C.S. Lewis (surprised?), from whom I like the Last Battle the best, J.R.R. Tolkien, The Return of the King, and Wayne Thomas Batson, The Door Within. Among other authors that I like are Edith Nesbit (The Story of the Treasure Seekers), Katherine Patterson (Bridge to Terabithia), Lois Lowry (Messenger), and so many others. My favorite book is the Bible. I mean, C.S. Lewis is good, but his stuff is like a normal book compared with the greatest bestseller in the history of the earth.
"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." ~Jim Eliot, Missionary Courage is not one of the virtues. Courage is every one of the virtues at it's testing point. -C. S. Lewis "You remember the fairy stories that you were told when you were very small--'Once upon a time...' why do you think they always began like that?" "Because they weren't true," Simon said promptly. ." Jane said, caught up in the unreality of the high remote place, "Because perhaps they were true once, but nobody could remember when." Great uncle Merry turned his head and smiled at her. "That's right. Once upon a time...a long time ago...things that happened once, perhaps, but have been talked about for so long that nobody really knows. And underneath all the bits that people have added, the magic swords and lamps, they're all about one thing - the good hero fighting the giant, or the witch, or the wicked uncle. Good against bad. Good against evil." ~From Over Sea and Under Stone "Greater love hath no man than this--that he would lay down his life for a friend." ~John 15:12 Reality can destroy the dream; why shouldn't the dream destroy reality? -- George Moore "You speak treason!" (Marion) "Fluently." (Robin) ~Robin Hood, Errol Flynn version If an advisor says to me "My liege, he is but one man. What can one man possibly do?", I will reply "This." and kill the advisor. ~Evil Overlord List ;) "There are times to think, and there are times to let other people think for ya. This is one of those times." -My brilliant (and slightly balmy) sister Lu in her Newsie accent. "And you must always remember, there's one good thing about being stuck down here in Underland: It'll save funeral expenses." ~Puddleglum the Marshwiggle (SC) "Let those who love us love us. And those who do not love us let God turn their ankles so we may know them by their limping." -An Old Irish Proverb NOTICE: As I said before, I am a Christian. I love God (Aslan, Eru, whichever name you prefer) with all my heart, and I will always praise him. It's because of Him that I can write. It's not in pursuit of my own glory, but for His glory that I write each and every one of my stories. If you feel like one of my stories does not glorify God, please tell me. If you are a fellow writer, or even just a reader of my fics (and, obviously, profile :D) than please know that I am praying for you every night. Whether Christian, Atheist, or anything in between, you are in my prayers. May Aslan direct your path always to him. I live for Aslan, and I love to write. That about sums it up. If you have any questions about Aslan in this world, or about my stories, feel free to send me a message! If you would like to request that I write a certain story, I would love any ideas! Long live the true King! In Aslan's Name, King Caspian of Narnia --SPOILERS-- For Telmarine Tower: Caspian, there is a Susan side of it. I am coauthoring this story with my good friend Queen Su. You can find Susan's side of the story by going to http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4436382/1/Telmarine_Tower_Susan. Please check it out. It may not be nearly as exciting as mine (evil grin, Su jk) but please give it a try. July 9, 2009: Work has finally begun on the sequel to "Morwen and Isildur", "Danger in Edoras". I've got a plot, got the first few chapters figured out, and am finally excited about it. ;) Hurrah! Also I've written several chapters into "The Return Voyage" story concerning the return of the Dawn Treader to Narnia. | |||||||
