Author has written 14 stories for Death Note. If I'm not posting, the reason should be here at the top. I love NaNoWriMo and introducing myself as my moniker in writer's groups. It's so... freeing. If any of you are here, I'll be shocked senseless. Trivial minutia about the author - Life is too short to take everything seriously, and if we were all the same, what fun would anyone be? Favorite things - Death Note, Uglies, Hellsing Ultimate, FFVII, D&D, Jane Austen adaptations, steampunk, Corvettes, NaNoWriMo, heavy metal, body piercing, Drew Estate Acids, and coffee. Things I'd sooner live without - white chocolate, moe, summer, neighbors, and mushrooms. My Writing - I don't put spoilers in plot summaries, including warnings about character death or "pairings". If the story is rated M, it contains extreme violence, sex, and/or foul language. If it's T, those elements are either toned down or not present. That's all the warning you get from me. The pervasiveness of yaoi is a big pet peeve of mine. There's more than enough out there without me adding to it, and I like to believe you can still tell a good story without including sex to appeal to the masses. Favorite things to write about - angst, misunderstood characters, identity and emotional crises, physical and psychological torture, the mutilation of protagonists, death, and tragedy. See a theme here? I don't write - comedy, parody, fluff, or romance. Not really. My attempts at humor do not translate to text. Works in Progress - Genius is a Curse - AU. This story concerns clinical depression, not "the blues" and not the sort of thing you shake off by falling in love. Feedback is welcome, especially concerning the depression aspects. It's betaread by the insightful recipe for insanity in later chapters. I actually have an ending for this story and I promise I'm not just stalling, though recent events are making this very trying to write. End of the Line - Could be canon. I don't like this writing style but I'm stuck with it. Am I a highly-repressed pseudo-romantic? Collateral Damage - Canon --> AU. Currently on hold while I rebuild the plot. Honestly, would anyone read this if it was just a text version of the latest slasher horror movie starring B the 2-D villain and our darling megalomaniac Light in a dirty basement with an inexplicable supply of medical tools and bondage gear? Edit - apparently at least one of you would. XD Unexpected - Canon. The plot idea was taken from Nilahxapiel on the website below. I'm a realist, not a romantic, but I'm trying to break out of my angsty shell. It's still not all hearts and flowers. It's Just a Game - Total AU. Another Exchange story from TimeTravelFreak. Since this is more plot-driven, I'm trying to use a young-adult writing style to make it move faster. Finally, I get to indulge my adoration for fictional cyberspace and the horrors it spawns. Stolen Limelight - AU? Formerly "Unholy Union" until I realized I had too many "un-" stories. This is my writer's block story that updates when I can't make the others work, starring secondary characters only. Fatal Attraction - Canon --> AU. This was inspired by Xhadow Kiss's video; the first chapter goes along with the song lyrics and parts of the video. It's become an amateur exploration into manipulation, sexual and platonic obsession, sociopathy, and other heartwarming themes. B Makes Bad Look Good | |||||||||||
