Author has written 23 stories for Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century, His Dark Materials, A Little Princess, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, Artemis Fowl, and Princess Mononoke. So ... it seems I've been here a while. That was unexpected! A short history of Lli and fanfiction: I wrote terribly, stopped, tried to go to uni, got bored, started again, wrote a little better. I travel a lot, so things come in spurts. But hey, if I leave, chances are I'll be back. Fanfiction is such good practice, after all. And so much easier than the real thing. Like candy for the brain! Vital information: Female, youngish (well, old by this site's standards), from an island in the Pacific, and fully supports rioting for 2010. Aims to be quadro-lingual (is that a word?), published and selling limited edition prints before she dies, but will settle for solving socio-political and economical inequality and/or the environmental disaster that is the "first world". But, you know, only if I have to. Book of the day/month/year/decade: "Six Months in Sudan" by James Maskalyk. Written by a young Toronto doctor on his first Doctors Without Borders (MSF) mission, in Abyei, Sudan. Beautiful, heart-breaking and, worst of all, true. It's non-fiction, but it reads like prose.
