Now Shizuru must deal with Natsuki's dismal view of the situation, while she herself is in love with a fantasy version of the girl. Together they learn the truth about each other, but will they be able to close the gap in time for the wedding? Chapter 9 is being reviewed/edited.

The Carnival has had a bit of a different ending, with Shizuru having run away as soon as she was no longer necessary to save the world. She has spent a year in hiding, trying to force away her feelings for Natsuki, while the latter has been in disarray over her missing best friend. The truth behind the misunderstanding comes to light when Shizuru makes an epic return to Fuuka, starting a new life with her love... all while handling school, work, love, and past burnt bridges.

Into the Night

Shortly after the Carnival Midori throws one last bonfire party; one that brings everyone together, but some more than others. Shizuru and Natsuki finally come to terms with their relationship and grow closer through a powerful dance.

It's Shizuru's first birthday after the Carnival and she receives an unexpected gift from Natsuki.

Other World

Natsuki is the daughter of a mob family, and twin sister to Nao. One night, she is nearly killed but is saved by the angel Shizuru, who has always been in love with her, having watched over from Heaven. In an emotional state, Natsuki pulls the angel onto her arms, keeping her on earth against the laws of Heaven, thereby initiating a legend that states she will become a demon. Soon Natsuki's vampire features surface, causing problems for her and her family, love, and business. Shizuru's friends are also searching for a way to bring her back home, but the laws say the only way is to kill Natsuki. The two must now deal with their growing feelings for each other while fighting against Heaven for a cure to Natsuki's disease.

The gothic city of Fuuka is now home to a brewing war between humans and wolves. The First District and Searrs are two human organizations fighting for control of the world, using hybrid technology to do it. The upper class human soldiers have the ability to control the spirit particles of the world, which has quickly drained it of its life, and weakened the wolves that protect it. Now, the world rests in the hands of Natsuki and Shizuru, two wolves turned into hybrids, who seek to destroy the organizations that took everything from them.

Our Gift, Our Curse
