THIS IS A DEAD ACCOUNT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. ...My reasons are no one's concern or business. I'm just taking what you may call "a little vacation", before my bain collapses from this place. I shall leave a few more reviews, but afterwards, I shall disappear for who knows how long. Only time will tell... If you are here, it is most likely out of boredom, or it is because I have given you a negative review. (If it is for the latter, then I suggest you stop and think about what I said before you send me that angry little message of yours. I want to help you, even if it does not always seem that way.) And, in some uncommon cases, it is to thank me for my glowing review of your story. Congratulations, you wrote something intelligible! Or, in other similarly scarce cases, it is to seek my assistance, opinion, and other things of the same nature. Hurray, you want to improve! (Please note now that I'll help mainly with grammar, spelling, and perhaps an idea or two, but never an OC.) Truthfully, when I give a review, I'm giving my honest opinion, hoping the receiver will, in some small way, learn a little something. I glean knowledge from every encounter. I have spoken to all kinds of people here. But not all kinds, so when someone responds to what I say, I listen, hoping to experience a new person's perspective, to know if I had been right or wrong in my statement. But most people will react with anger, insult me, make up excuses, and, in extreme cases, are utterly unwilling to listen. In doing so, they learn nothing, they understand nothing. The encounter boils down into an argument of sorts, and when we walk away, the only thing we have gained from it is a new enemy. Is it really worth it to not hear anyone out? To not accept that just maybe, you were wrong? Hate and fighting are a never ending phenomenon, I suppose. Or ignorance, if you want to think of it that way. Like many, I believe in creativity and originality, something that has become increasingly rare nowadays. In truth, fanfiction has become a "dirty deed, done dirt cheap." -- "Don't give an idiot the satisfaction of acknowledging his existence."~Me I am simply a young adult with no real social life to speak of, because I really do not enjoy interacting with other people. Really, I am just a teenager who either has nothing better to do, or is procrastinating on homework, so I will sometimes venture onto the web, whenever the chance is presented to me. And I'm not really all that harsh either... I just happen to act bitter towards people who are half-assed about everything. Or act like they're above criticism and write me off as a flamer who has no life. It's very hard to take those kinds of people seriously. Personality-wise, you could say I have more things in common with the dogs. Or perhaps cacti, since I am, for the most part, quite taciturn. I also have a fairly innocent perspective on life, and shall glance at an M-rated fic only when my curiosity begins to rake at my nerves. Truthfully, mature fics frighten me, as I have had a few horrible run-ins with them when I was a tad too young to read such...yeah. And that's me in a nutshell, whatever that means... Now here, and elsewhere at a few select websites, I am a huge fan of Pokemon, Digimon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! DM/ GX. A few other things too, but not by much. I'd rather keep the rest of my childhood intact, thank you. Current member of Deviantart and FFnet. My penname at Deviantart is Pajara-san. I am sharing this art account with my recent, yet dear friend, Pidge-san . Although I do comment on occasion (usually when she is nearby), I also tend to go on wild favoriting sprees, causing our number of favorites to reach past the forty page zone. I believe that this is because I am just not picky when it involves art ( I have zero talent at drawing). All the pics in the gallery were made by her. The only credit I deserve is helping her very slightly with her writing and its profundity. Yes, I don't have my own computer. And I am not around often, so do not let the knowledge of my existence bother you. I currently reside in Yu-Gi-Oh GX, as P-san demands that I remain in something YGO related, while Kaiba is made of, how do you say, WIN? And Teardrop is just about the best Japanese theme song I have ever heard. :) Wake Up Your Heart ranks a close second with its catchy tune. Hallelujah, for GX subs. And down with 4Kids. They kill cartoons. But the dub is hilarious. I would also like to say that I believe the arrival of a third season in an anime is taboo. Digimon died because of its third season, and GX took a major hit from its own. What other animes have been cursed? Shaman King? The first season of GX was not the best in terms of writing, but I found it to be the most enjoyable, as it showed the strong bonds between the characters, so much so that they were almost like a family. Season Two was decent, and everyone else seemed to like it a lot, so it's fine, though the bonds between the characters severely weaken... Season Three is just plain depressing and Judai-centered... Fourth Season...is starting to get on my nerves, especially in Ryo's case. He should keep his beloved Cyber Dragons and the Cyberdarks! Though, Trueman is proving to be very interesting. That's one thing in GX: All the villains are good. Has anyone else noticed that in every season, Jaden duels at least fifty percent of the time? Note: I DESPISE BASHING. You do it, I automatically dislike you. Unless it's parody, but even then, I won't enjoy it at all, really. I just like the characters too much. My favorite characters are perhaps some of the most unfortunate that have ever been on the show, as they are the greatest "losers", destined to never win, but far more appealing than the main character(s) will ever be. They are: Manjyome Jun: Because he's not perfect, and he doesn't care. He never gives up, he is humorous, and despite his goofy nature, I find him rather noble. And his manga counterpart is very cool. I cannot resist the incomparable awesome that is his Light and Darkness Dragon. All his other cards are like his personality: a mixture of various, sometimes conflicting elements that in the end create something unique. He has quite the rallying cry too, and makes an acceptable leader. I appreciate his faults and just plain enjoy his character. And his saw-like hair, along with those eyes that somehow make him resemble a gorilla, always keep me grinning. Marufuji Ryo: He is the Kaiba that never was, so to speak. Definitely a lot less obtrusive and obnoxious, if you ask me, but those aspects are what made Kaiba, well, Kaiba, so yeah. Anyways, he loses plenty of duels too, making him completely awesome, because perfect people make me vomit. Though I do like that he beats Judai in the first season. His Cyber Dragons and his Cyberdarks fit his character well, and are the coolest thing ever, next to the Blue Eyes series. And I like when he becomes Hell Kaiser, because his black outfit is the definition of cool, and, I think, he becomes a lot more philosophical after he realizes the consequences of his transformation. He's just...cool. Besides, every time he is on screen, I twitch with excitement. In addition, I view him as a true duelist, and I find I only enjoy overkill in a duel when he commits it. And he was the only guy to duel Edo without any amazingly powerful cards...I commend him greatly for this. If only he hadn't been so overconfident...his loss would not have been as devastating... Edo Phoenix: Ah, dear Ed. I like his nickname, and the fact that he wears a suit and has a taste for beef fillet never ceases to crack me up. I tremble and giggle when he appears on screen, because he is just that awesome. He's a young man with good intentions, though still a bit misguided, but from someone with his childhood, that is to be expected. He's just...real, a character some can almost relate too, especially on his anti-hero approach at justice and vengeance. Things don't go his way all the time either, unlike for some Osiris Red we all know and some loathe... His Destiny Heroes were a breath of fresh air compared to all the fusion-reliant decks that were in the first season. He beats Judai too, a definite plus. And he is a darn good duelist, because all the people that beat him needed a miracle or a supernatural power to do so. For example, Neo Spacians, control over destiny, Exodia... Marufuji Sho: Not the best duelist in the world, and he has some major character development. His Vehicroids are adorable, in a cartoony sense, and I like that he uses real combos and strategies that seem to be a bit rare in GX. I mean, what he used against Kenzan? Pure awesomeness that earn him the title of "the Yugi Element of GX." And he is short, has large, cute eyes sometimes accompanied by girly eyelashes, wears tiny glasses, and sports huge, oddly colored hair. I guess he's likable because he is pretty normal compared to everyone else, and yet still manages to stand out. And although, in the first season, he was the most outrageous-looking character, his faults balanced that out, so he is still someone some can relate too, minus the poofy blue hair. By the way, I took a character test to see who I am most like. Strange, apparently Syrus and I have a lot in common. Though Zane is a better match for me, really. Syrus sounds more like P-san...feh, faulty, lazily thrown together tests. Johan Anderson: I adore his Crystal Beasts (such an interesting concept), and, unlike the other visiting students from the third season, he is not instantly better than everyone at Duel Academy. (I refuse to accept Judai's "victory" over Austin as reality, no matter what anyone else says.) He's pretty optimistic, but he knows when to get serious. I imagine that he could be fairly imposing too, like O'Brien, if he wanted to. Not like that'll ever happen... He is indeed very similar to Judai, but at the same time he seems so different...His hair style is cooler, he wears pink, he appears Swedish, and he has ruffles or frills, I'm not quite sure what you call them, except "hilarious." Characters I Find to be Alright: Sameshima, Asuka, Fubuki, Saiou, Daitokuji, Chronos, Satou, Kabayama, Ayukawa, Ekou, Rei, Kenzan, Jim, Austin, Bonaparte, Martin, etc. Favorite Pairing: Absolutely none, except for the most canon ones, though I merely support, not like, them. But I feel a twinge of sympathy for people that pair Asuka and Ryo, because they were my first and only OTP...back when I was a silly n0ob. However, I see now that they had more of a brother-sister relationship. Anyways... The ones I support are Taniya x Misawa, one-sided Judai x Asuka, and Amon x Echo. That's it. In contrast, I will be lenient if the pairing is sensible, and created, not because it's "cute", but because it WORKS. However, I accept that people are entitled to write whatever they want. Not that I'll always enjoy what they come up with. Still, I dislike romance intensely. I do not believe that everyone will find that "special someone" who makes them feel "all warm and fuzzy inside." Love doesn't happen that way all the time. It's not always sweet and fluffy and idealistic, nor is it always, erm, animalistic and violent, or whatever. Really, why is there so much rapefic around here? True love is incredibly rare, especially among young adults. As immature lovers, when they say, "I love you.", most of the time, it really means, "I love me and want you." I hate the mountain of cliches that is piled on this genre, and the fact that some people only write about these pairings to appease their stupid or disgusting fantasies. Can't anyone rise above the conscience of the human species for a moment and deviate from the old and worn genre of Romance? There are other aspects to life, y'know... But this does not mean that I do not believe in love itself. I just wish people would realize there is more to love than osculating, intercourse, and "perfect" marriages. Other forms of companionship, like friendship, do exist, and I would prefer to read about it between the characters than read another fic about the same characters being flustered about who's dating who. Really, where did all the humorous situations and fluffy sibling moments go? Honestly, does anyone notice that many of the characters they use in these romance stories have already shown their general dislike of it, such as in episode 47? Except Manjyome and Sho...they like romantic stuff. Manjyome's sparkly eyes still scare me... Attention: I HATE SMUT. It kills brain cells, like a bad fanfic. And why is it so appealing to read about teenagers doing that anyway? On another note, I have nothing against any homosexual pairing, but I say now that I do not like fics about them, for I was raised thinking boys only liked girls, and I cannot really handle such...yeah. Besides, most of these fics display many of my general dislikes that are explained here, which doesn't help. Seriously, I respect all people. Not that everyone respects each other... And the other stuff that I see in GX fanfiction? Does anyone realize that they are watching -for the most part- a children's show? Either you people have a powerful creative license, or I'm small-minded. However, if you make the stuff you write about believable, then go you, because I do acknowledge that GX is not all pickles and daisies. But uber-extreme stuff? Just...no. Things like that are NEVER gonna happen. Maybe in an alternate universe, yeah, but canon? Nope. And to people who ignore canon...yeah. If you love the show, why do you insist on changing its foundations? Then again, some of you only like certain characters...and do not even pay much attention to what it's about anyway. Or you don't care. Plus, there is a severe lack of DUELING, the main event of the show. The Duel Monsters deserve some recognition too... And most of the adventure stuff here is either poorly constructed, just plain boring, stupid, and/or stereotypical. Or about Original Characters, whom I find to be useless and irritating. I love adventure and action, but I ask you people, where's the novelty? Ah, well, at least you guys offer up a laugh fest. I'm usually guffawing by the time I read your OC's name... There's also been a few crossovers involving GX and either Pokemon or, less often, Digimon. Problem is, they are very, very STUPID and BORING. There is only one person who has done it right, and that's the person who created the concept in the first place. I'm tempted to write my own, and show those two-bit writers what for. Well, out of the eight that are at the GX section, only three get on my nerves. They are not even in the right category, for Ra's sake... There's too much crackfic and parodies too. I mean, randomness is fun, but there is a limit. I love humor, and even then, I can only stand so much. Doesn't anyone think it's funnier when humorous situations could actually happen in GX? Really, some stuff is so outrageous, it's not even funny... I also find songfics to be incredibly annoying, because they tend to comprise almost entirely of the song that inspired it, and those are usually dumb, pointless pop songs. Can't you just title the story after the song and write about what it means? Actually, I might give that a shot. Maybe with a challenging song that requires much interpretation, perhaps something by Tool... Yup, not much thrilling adventure, not much good humor, not much dueling, not much ANYTHING. And would you believe I am female? Fics That I May Post (All In-Progress) & Co-written with P-san: Ryock: Can You Dig It?: Ed-Aches: Memoirs of a Chazz: Mettle: And several more...which will all go unnamed because I've only researched them, and have yet to type a single word pertaining to the idea. | |||||
