Author has written 7 stories for Phantom of the Opera.

2/3/09

...Oh...my...I can't believe it's been 8 months since I last updated PF. Negligent, negligent authoress that I am! Life intruded in that way it does. Well, at any rate, dears, for anyone that still cares, I AM working on the next chapter now, and should have it up fairly soon!

Also, I found a painting that kind of fits my mental image of Christine Daae, Renoir's Portrait of the Actress Jeanne Samary:

I'm a slow writer, and an even slower one due to school. Please be patient! I have my stories plotted (sketchily), but you know...it just...takes awhile. The problem involves a whole bunch of plot ideas, which, when it comes down to actually writing them, disappear like a mist at the coming of the sun.

My main interests in writing focus on Leroux's Phantom of the Opera, which is simply wonderful. I also have some ideas for Labyrinth, and fairy tales (dark).

Age: 19

Name: Sarah.

If you used to get anonymous reviews from a Miss Marian Paroo, that was me. My sister also reviews from my account, so that's why Clearlysane reviews are on my own stories...I'm not THAT egomaniacal!

Finally, just some FYI.

Because the Leroux World is The Ideal World, my Phantom stories will be based thusly. Full-face black mask, full-fledged death's head, full-blown Faust darkness. I like a dark Erik. And so he will be...Murder and mayhem will occur at his hands, but I believe that he had a seed of goodness in him that could have bloomed (and which did at the end, although it was afterwards blighted) if his Christine had stayed.

Christine will be in the Leroux style, blond, blue-eyed, except with a more mature heart and mind. Christine is sweet, mellow, and loving, but with latent strengths that slowly emerge. She had the heart and the strength to love Erik, but allowed Raoul to weaken her.

Raoul is a good boy, and a caring, vaguely valiant one, but he is not my hero. (Guess who is.) His relationship with Christine was that of childhood infatuation, not an adult's selfless passion. Like I said, he is a boy. Of course, depending on the story, he may mature, but will still have that naivety that characterizes him.

E/C always. They were always meant to be together, and, I believe could have been happy. This is where I come in. (All types of E/C pairings are great, mind; horror pairings give me that romantic's shiver down the spine. But right now I'm talking about the originals.)

And Last... review! And you will warm a heart. Constructive criticism will be adored. And yes, I DO get around to review replies...it just takes me a long time!

And here's another, a Bach invention on harpsichord--I love this:
