Author has written 20 stories for Harry Potter, and Calvin & Hobbes.

Ten Facts about done.with.marblesxx That Might Be of Interest:

1. I enjoy writing- If you were unable to figure this part of me out, then I suggest that you scroll down and witness all the stories I've written, just to satisfy my cravings of writing a story that others might enjoy. However, I'm not assuring anyone that I'm perfect at this trade since I have a long way to go (like a long way) and I'm trying my best. I'm being honest when I say I'm picking up new things everyday and how to correctly write and adjective/adverb use and learning different parts of grammar, etc. etc. Growing is what I want to do. I don't want to stay where I am.

2. I enjoy reading- If I didn't enjoy reading, then why would I want to read all this fanfiction? Hello, I am on a fanfiction website where there are millions of stories. Of course I like reading.

There are various books that catch my attention, mostly historical fiction (Tudor Era, just basic English history, Revolutionary War, not Civil War, French Revolution, WW II, Holocaust, Korean history, etc. etc.) although there are some realistic fiction and fantasy involved. I should really read more classics, but I'm getting to it. Give me time. I'm only a teenager.

3. I am Korean- Korean, Korean, Korean. That's actually my nationality since I'm not technically an American. I don't know if I will ever gain American citizenship, but who knows? I was actually born in Korea, have Korean parents, had Korean friends, my palate is Korean, can read/write/speak/understand Korean. I am currently residing in the US however, but I have loyalty towards America. It's my second home.

I am not ashamed of my heritage. Like, not at all. I love myself. I love who I am. And I won't change even if people tell me being a Korean isn't good, etc. etc. I like who I am, thanks.

4. I play an instrument- Actually, instruments. I play the violin & piano, although I'm now a self-taught pianist since my piano teacher had to cut back on her students on account of her being busy. I'm fine with it actually. I like piano, have been playing since first grade ever since my cousin started, and like the sound of it. However, my main instrument is the violin.

I've been playing the violin since fourth grade, as it is customary in my school district. Only a quarter-size to begin with, now a full-size and in the school orchestra, beginning to learn music by some famous composers. I would love to be involved with music as a career, but seeing that my skills are just slightly above average, I don't expect anything. I'll probably pick up the violin and play a bit here and there in my life though.

5. I can draw- My first dream was to be an artist. If you go to Korea, there are some subway stations. There were a lot of people sitting on the ground, selling their art. And I wanted to be like that (No, not sitting on the subway station), inspiring people. I've been drawing since although I'm terrible at proportions and perspective. I like drawing and probably do the whole "anime" style although I don't feel my drawing is like that. I hate how people are so contemptuous towards people who draw "cartoons". Do we all have to draw realistically?

I'm better at drawing than painting/ceramics/etching, etc. I just don't seem to have patience for painting or ceramics. I liked etching with glass though.

Just don't expect anything artistic from me though since I would never post my work online. It's not good enough and it wouldn't satisfy me anyway.

6. My penname does have a meaning- Those of you who knew me before I was done.with.marblesxx, know that my old penname was indeed luvnmarauders since I was infatuated with the quartet of Hogwarts boys during the Marauder Era (I still am), but you're probably wondering, "Why did you change it?"

Reason: It was much too childish for me. I was only in my preteen years (not joking) when I started my account. I was naive, silly, and a complete fangirl (googoo for Sirius).

Now. My penname. There's a meaning. Let me tell you.

Ever heard of the phrase, "he's lost his marbles"? Marbles, in this case, is relating to the person's sanity, mind, etc. When I say I'm "done with" marbles, it just sort of means that I'm sort of done trying to figure out sanity, or in a humorous sense, means I'm done with sanity and a normal state of mind and gone over to the dark side where insanity rules.

I feel like the penname's sort of confusing until it's explained. So there you go.

7. British Accents are Love- If you are British (Or do you prefer I call you English? I read this article about it and was very confused about it. I don't understand very well, so one of you might have a kind enough heart to PM me and tell me how to address the folk who live in that region in UK which is named, "England"), you're probably thinking that I'm pretty much insane. It's alright. I think my love for this is pretty insane.

But I love accents. Actually, not only British. Scottish, Irish, French... etc. I'm in love with accents, although not Oriental accents since my parents have accents and I find it not-so-attractive. That's why I totally love movies like Harry Potter (I usually try to ignore the errors and lack of accuracy in the movies) because they have totally hot accents. Please do not ask me why I am like this. Maybe I was dropped when I was an infant.

8. I am a Dog Person- I'm afraid I thought I was first destined to be a Cat Lady since I lack boyfriends and thought I would be single all my life and die with only 5,000 cats living with me. Then I realized that would be horrid. I don't like cats at all. I actually despise some cats.

So why would I be a Cat Lady?

Therefore, I am now destined to be a Dog Lady. I love dogs. I've wanted one since I was little, got one, but had to regretfully give her away. It was a most unfortunate thing. But I have good memories, so that's alright.

If I'm a Dog Lady though, it'll be hard to walk all of them. How would I cope...? Hmm...

9. Romance. Romance. Romance.- I'm all for romance. I love all the "Kissing in the Rain" things and "Sharing mittens", etc. I'm probably romantic to the point I'm soppy and cheesy that you probably want to beat me with a stick until I shut up about boys.

Unfortunately, thanks to my lack of romantic expertise and experience, I'm mostly guessing about the kissing experiences and how things would "feel" and how dates would work out. It's just created by my sadly romantic mind since I have nothing better to occupy my time with other than thinking about romance scenes and updating my FanFiction profile all the time.

10. I love my Reviewers- I think in the case of reviews, it's the thought that counts. If you bothered enough to write, "Good job!" but nothing more, then I'm pretty much in love with you (but not really). Although "OMFG, UPDATE SOOONNNN" reviews are something I don't prefer, it's appreciated all the same and I usually write back a reply (when I'm not feeling lazy).

But this is such a system where you should think, "If someone's reading my story, would I want them to review?" If you're not even going to review on others' stories, then why should people review for you? I review on every single story I read. I'm not joking. I do. All because I'm part of the Review Revolution.

I say if everyone left a review on every story they read, then averaging a 100 on a story wouldn't even be a big deal. Think about it.

I, done.with.marblesxx, do solemnly swear to review all the stories I read,
regardless of the number of reviews, its age, or anything else.
I have joined the Review Revolution.

DISCLAIMER:

I don't own anything that I write about (since this is a fanfiction website, after all) and I'm not making any money off this stuff. I couldn't sell it anyway since no one would buy it.

It's all work of:

J.K. Rowling

Bill Watterson

-News Bulletin-

September 5th, 2009- It's actually stupid to say this, but I officially declare Eighth Notes to be on hiatus. I just have lost the inspiration and it's too wordy and the latest chapter was just a wasteful filler which I'm very regretful of. I know how the story should end, but something I despise named Writer's Block is plaguing me, so writing is impossible. My apologizes to my fans. You are free to stab me in the face.

Types of Fanfiction I typically read:

Harry Potter- I love Sirius Black. I laugh at James Potter. I adore Remus Lupin. I am sympathetic towards to Peter Pettigrew. I giggle at Lily Evans. Generally Marauder Era fics, if you couldn't tell. I really don't like reading about Harry and Hermione because they just get on my nerves. I love Ron though. He's a dear. Luna and Draco also get my love along with poor Neville (I always wonder if he's found his Remembrall).

Sherlock Holmes- I have recently fallen into loving Sherlock Holmes' stories. They are my fuel... And I'm reading all the Canon short stories (long live Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, although he's already dead), but it's slow going since some aspects freak me out and I can't start reading it without digging into my blankets or clutching my teddy bears tightly and biting my lip.

Pirates of the Caribbean- I love Jack. That's all I want to say.

Chronicles of Narnia- My favorite character is Edmund, notbecause Skandar Keynes was so brilliant in the movies, but because he seemed to recover from his betrayal. I mean, if you look at it, he's the one's the first to believe Lucy (my second favorite character) in Prince Caspian and always understands and is open-minded. Peter and Susan are sprinkled somewhere on my "Favorite Character" List.

Aslan is love. I love him. And I know his other name which he goes by in this world. Do you know his other name?

Fanfiction that I rather avoid:

M rated fics- So I might stumble upon one once in a while and find it nicely written, but usually I don't like explicit descriptions of it all. You know what I mean...

Slahes- I dislike slashes, therefore avoid them. I don't want to read them at all, especially Sirius/Remus. I feel like in these days, people go on mistaking strong friendship for hidden affairs. It bothers me. Can't you just be goodfriends with people without being named gay?

OOC-ness- You know what I'm talking about. You're all guilty reading some of these fics and that's fine. It's just personally bothers me. For one thing, Sirius was nota hyperactive, crazy, stupid, much too cheerful of a guy. He might have been mischievous and guilty of hexing some Slytherins, but he had a very dark background and family life and I don't think a person can forget something like that. It had to have some impact on his life.

Recommendations of stories are greatly appreciated!

Topics of Fanfiction I typically write:

Generally speaking, I am more of a romance writer than any other. That's where my heart usually is and although humor, angst, drama will the thrown in the list of my stories, it's not the first thing I started out with. Being a disgusting teenage girl with eyes on romance, and romance only (I'm such an idiot), I fulfill my longing and love for the opposite sex by writing stories about them. Hmm. Rather erotic. Moving on.

Angst and Drama are my next favorite genres. It makes me giddy, writing something that portrays the more anguishing side of a character. It makes you think a little and although these aren't the stories you want the read all the time, it's good to read occasionally. I'm proud of my work on Drama and Angst. If you have suggestions and constructive criticism on it, I will gladly listen, but if you bash the story because "it isn't your preference", then why are you reading it? Go read some fluff and leave my angst stories alone.

Humor. Mostly random. Nothing to say here. I'm not too witty, I'm afraid.
