Hey, I'm IncessantOblivion, blah blah blah. Can't be stuffed writing anything about myself, but I will tell you I'm 21, female and Australian. I'll read anything that's well-written with a decent storyline. I won't read anything with bad grammar or OOC-ness. That just frustrates me to no end, and that is not a fate to which I wish to submit myself.

My Work:

I have recently (if recently can still refer to over two years ago) completed A Whisper in the Night. I am planning a sequel for this, but am writing a few Interludes first (mainly to emphasize the time-gap between the two stories). I have completed my first Interlude - Exceptions - and am now beginning the next, The Rulebook, which focuses on Ino and Shikamaru. For all the A Whisper in the Night fans, hang in there! I swear on someone's grave that it will come...sometime, possibly not before the world ends.

As some may have been painfully aware, I've been out of action for over a year now but I'm slowing returning to my glory days of updates every week. It is annoying how life and laziness obstruct a cause as noble as writing fanfiction, but I've come to terms with it and have accepted that in my old(er) age updates shall be few and far between.

Story Updates:

Exceptions - The update/correction-of-all-my-stupid-grammatical-errors is complete! I'm aware it is still not perfect, but it IS a damned sight better than it was before! So I hope old readers and new enjoy the new and improved version. There are also some new paragraphs and little bits added to some of the chapters, for those avid, repeat readers who can spot them ;)

The Rulebook - Amid cries for updates, I feel I should let you all know that I only stopped writing this because I lost the USB that had most of the latest chapter on it. As fellow writers will know, there are few things less depressing and annoying than losing something you've painstakingly crafted, knowing that you will never be able to word what you've lost the same way twice (especially when you thought it was awesome haha). It HAS been almost a year since this tragedy occurred, so I feel the ominous black cloud of loss has lifted and I'm willing to give it another go. Who knows, the second attempt might be better!

Enemies By Design - The annoying thing about starting a new fic is that is gets me in the mood to read other fics...and so I get hopelessly distracted with all the other awesome stuff out there that I've missed in my extended absence. However, I've just exhausted all the awesome Kaka/Saku and Itachi/Saku fics on this site (that I know of - please don't give me any suggetions if you want the next update) so my imagination is all fired up and my fingers are itching to go.

Note:I don't write explicit sex scenes. I may insinuate that something of that nature occurred, but nothing more. Apologies for those who like them (I know I do).

Grammatical Note: For those ignorant few who do not know: Australian grammar is different from American grammar. I am Australian, but I went through an American high school system - complete with STATs, which is unheard of down here. Then I went an did a partial English degree in an Australian university. This means my spelling and grammar will be an annoying mix of American and Australian standards. It's one of the things that bugs me the most about my own writing (along with my lazy plots - a detriment I am attempting to rectify!), so sorry for all those fellow Grammar Nazis out there who may tear their hair out as they read my meager offerings, screaming at the monitor: "Why did she go from using an 's' to a 'z'? The inconsistency of it all!" "Why is there a comma before 'and'?" (depending on whether you're American or other - you see what I mean). And so on. Sorry, but you'll have to deal with it until I get a Beta! Anyone willing to take me on?
