I read mostly Naruto and Harry Potter fanfiction. I occasionally delve into others like Death Note, but outside of these large fandoms I can't generally find any good stories to read, so I don't bother trawling through the vast amounts of crap one finds. My favourite stories tend to be those where it's built up from an early point, perhaps early in the character's life, or simply the original story, where the situation is changed drastically through the choices of the character. I read mostly only stories about the main character, and mostly ones where the character is independent or dark, although few dark stories are done well. Including my own. I do like stories where the character is powerful- of course, this can ruin the conflict in the plot, but it can also be done very well. I have little tolerance for stories which I don't like straight away- a sentence gone wrong, or a situation portrayed badly is enough to turn me off enough to not read the story at all.

Pairings:

I generally dislike romances, but occasionally I will read slash. No, I will never write it. The reason I prefer slash over het is that I hate how female characters are portrayed; I hate demeaning romances with stupid idiotic females thrown in because the author has plot problems and wants something to write easily. The only romances I can stand are those that are the point of the story; Just romance books. Plain and simple. Even then, I rarely read romances. I've read the first two books of Twilight, and while I can say I enjoyed them, I got sick of that book too. It's just so... idiotic. In slash I find the characters less irritating, and so can actually stand to read them.

I refuse to write romance. Don't ask for pairings.

My Stories:

I've always been something of a dark-minded individual. And I mean 'always' in a literal sense. I have stories which I've written when I was six or so where the teacher would comment that it was "good, but a little disturbing"- that was generally because I'd ended up killing all the characters at the end. What I write tends to centre around death, and I've noticed that I tend to kill off a little too many characters. I've been informed that I cannot write children, or indeed characters older than myself, because I apparently make them too intelligent. I'm trying to remedy this- I suppose that's where writing practice comes in.

I often loathe everything I write after it's written. I have a few problems with that- mostly if I'm not updating regularly, it's because I feel what I'm writing isn't up to par. Pressure gets to me easily, and turns me off writing- I much prefer to be low-key than swamped with reviews.

Below is the list of stories I'm working on that I consider to have a good chance of being worked on or being uploaded. The list tends to change regularly.

Notes: This is an... odd... little idea spawned from reading a random story back quite some time ago. I literally exhaled story ideas at the somewhat frightened (or so I imagine) writer, and it has occupied my mind ever since. It is, essentially, about zombies, and the idea put that way is a little retarded. But it can work- I've got it pretty much all mapped out, and I love it. I might want to warn you that when I say that the story is 'dark', what I really mean is that the story is shit-arse gory. Hell yes.
Well, I suppose maybe not as bad as it could be, and certainly not as bad as the chapter that earned Dancing With Demons (in my favourites) the 'M' rating at long last, but gore upsets some people, you know. Personally I think all stories should have end of chapter two scenes like mine. Especially romances.

Entering the mind of the man who had made the world quail, he begins to draw upon the Dark Lord's memories, and starts to emerge as something quite new altogether...

Title: Undecided (Saved so far as 'supporting the dark side', for lack of a better name)
Category: Harry Potter/ Naruto crossover
Genre: Undecided, probably action.
Pairing: None (Main two characters are Voldemort and Naruto, though)
Summary: Unwritten. (In a nutshell (A far less eloquently written nutshell): We've all seen stories where Dumbledore hires Naruto and/or other ninjas to guard Harry. I've always thought this extremely unrealistic, even if the whole dimension thing were surpassed, Dumbles has no need for trained killers to look after his boy wonder, unless there was some sort of actual, serious, physical threat imminent. Voldemort, on the other hand... wouldn't an inhumanly strong murderer be a more than welcome addition to the team, even if they did have to pay for his services? I like to think so.) This one has a mature Naruto in it, and is quite darkly themed. It will probably end up being written from other characters' perspectives of the main two characters.
Current Chapter: One, but I'm having a lot of fun writing this one.
Current Word Count: Around 2,500 words. Not far, I know. I'm considering scrapping most of the first chapter as it doesn't have the feel I'm trying to go for.
