My name is Laura.
Sometimes I wish it was something different... something a little less generic and a little more unique, and plus most of the time I don't feel like I'm like the other 'Laura's I know. But you know, overall, I really like my name. I'm not too sure about my heritage, the thing is my family come from very strange backgrounds, on my fathers side there's Italian, Irish and English blood, on my mothers side there's Spanish, Scottish blood and according to my grandmother a 'disgraced' member of some noble family who married someone beneath her in class who turns out is a very great great great grandmother of mine, I don't know whether that's true, my grandmother could just be going crazy with old age; anyway I don't know if that makes me anything but either way I'm very proud of both of my heritages, (however far gone they are through the bloodline) and have a real love for other cultures.

My personality... well, describing my personality is difficult.

But maybe you'll see it in my other interests.

books: invisible monsters, white oleander, extremely loud and incredibly close, choke, remainder, the catcher in the rye, kafka on the shore.

TV/Manga (these are both, so there's not much point making different sections): Er, Death Note, Bleach and Naruto. There are more but I can't be bothered to list them.

Music: Regina Spektor and Sufjan Stevens forever! Others I'm listening to currently include My Morning Jacket, Belle and Sebastian, The Shins, Tilly and the Wall, Rilo Kiley, Noah & the Whale, Camera Obscura etc etc.
