Happy New Years people! Keep an eye on Changing Gears, will ya?

In response to my dear sister: I AM NOT MIA!! :)

Hey everyone!

My name's Charlotte, and I'm a hopeless romantic and a scarily obsessed Alan Rickman fan. I've been writing for years now, but I've never actually published anything for public viewing. I thought that by writing fanfic about stories I liked, I could get feedback to help improve my writing, AND be able to enjoy my free time more. Two birds in one stone, eh?

Although I write predominantly Harry Potter fictions (but I hope to write Jane Austen, Jane Eyre, Phantom of the Opera, and possibly Sound of Music in the near future), I love to read:

-Jane Austen: anything you can give me, but I'm currently looking for some really good Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility fics.

-Phantom of the Opera: Erik/Christine. Sorry, not much of a fan of Raoul's, but I have nothing against him!

-Harry Potter: I'm pretty flexible in the pairings, yet I tend to read mostly Snape centered fics. However, I do enjoy Tonks/Remus quite often, as well as Slytherin!Harry and Severitus stories. I read slash occasionally, but nothing explicit. I don't have anything against slash stories-just not my thing. Not much of a James fan either- maybe my prejudice? Afterall, I DO favor Severus...LOL.

Once again, I'm an amateur writer, so not too much criticism please! I do appreciate constructive criticism, but no insults please!

I'm trying to learn some French on my own, so if anyone wants to help, please PM me! S'il vous plaît et merci!

I hope to write a lot more and hope to see lots and lots of reviews!

If anybody wants me to read their story and review/comment/edit/beta, I'll do everything in my power to help!

- Changing Gears: My main story. Yup, I finally did it. My very first Severitus story. I tried my best to keep it a bit different while keeping the requisites. So far so good! I'm extremely overwhelmed by the feedback I'm getting! I'm really excited-I think it might be the best story yet!

-Walking Back: On hiatus until September. Still in progress. It starts right after Lily's death and is a romance/adventure story. Snape reflects on his own turbulent times with Lily while trying to cope with his changing environment. He's landed with Lily's biggest secret and is forced to carry out her plans. Slightly manipulative Dumbledore and features an OC godson named Aesculus Malfoy. It's quite complicated..you can read the summary below! I really enjoy writing this story. It shows how minor details altered the REAL history of Severus Snape. Did I confuse you enough? SS/LE

- Dancing in Flames: A rather random oneshot of a stranger in black and a girl in red. Features tango dancing and lots of tension. Inspired by Moulin Rouge's El Tango de Roxanne. I'm told it's good. SS/HG

- Given Another Chance: The story I just completed in the first hours of 2008. I was sugar high, forgive me for any OOC instances. It shows that with a breaching in arguements and a mind for revenge, Severus and Hermione can get up to all sorts of stuff. Flirtation and compromising situations. If only I were Hermione in this fic! Not my best work, but the most satisyfing after I finished it. SS/HG

- Promises Made. Promises Kept: It's a one shot for now, but I've gotten quite a few messages to continue it. It is an extremely mournful piece of Narcissa's longing for one Lucius Malfoy. It is not stated what happened to him. The summary is: He had left her to the extravagance she had never longed for. He had left her with the useless factors that had tagged along with what she had really longed for. Him. But he would keep his promise. He always did. Narcissa/Lucius.

For those who care (and don't care but just happen to see this haha)

-I absolutely ADORE music. Mostly Broadway and Opera..

-I've been playing the piano for 9 years, violin 2 years, and have been singing since I guess I was born!!

-I'm a hopeless, hopeless romantic who would fall for any one of Jane Austen's heros...my extremely extensive list of men whom I wish were not mere literary figures are:

Colonel Brandon. Mr. Darcy. John Thornton. Severus Snape. Mr. Rochester! Erik. Captain Wentworth. Richard Blaine. Draco/Lucius Malfoy. Captain Von Trapp. William Wilberforce. Sherlock Holmes...beginning to see a pattern here? All Alan Rickman played characters a given: most especially Dr. Franz Anton Mesmer and Vicomte de Valmont.
