Chronicles of Shadow and Light (an overview) This is an AU / cross-over that brings the Lord of the Rings universe directly into the Harry Potter universe. It started out as a idea spawned out of a frustration I have with many cross-overs. Too often I find a cross-over that drags Harry and friends into another universe but doesn't compensate for the significant increase in “hero” characters. Essentially they end up with a story filled with lots of heroes that don't do a hell of a lot. Borrowing a little how-to guidance from J. Straczynski's classic 'Babylon 5' series, I hopefully won't fall for the same trap. The story is broken down into one 'book' per year (as is typical with Harry Potter stories) but I will say this (without giving away the story): key events in the past have changed, some drastically, some not; what follows is a lesson in Chaos Theory. 1) A Spark of Light “As the sun begins its decent, a darkness begins to stir. The only thing that could possibly stand in its way: a little spark of light which is only just learning to shine.” Follow Harry as he enters the magical world only to find that his dreams of being considered 'normal' may have to remain as dreams. This first instalment introduces you to the key characters of the story and serves as a foundation to anchor the AU world and its differences. 2) Secrets of the Past, Present and Future (You don't want me to give away the story do you?) 3) Creeping Shadows (You don't want me to give away the story do you?) 4) Approaching Storm (You don't want me to give away the story do you?) 5) The Fading Light (You don't want me to give away the story do you?) 6)Twilight of Champions (You don't want me to give away the story do you?) 7) Stars in the Night (You don't want me to give away the story do you?) | |||||||
