About Me:

First off, I'm Lynx. (This message brought to you by Captain Obvious)
A bit about myself... I'm a cynical type of person, but no worries--I won't bite your head off. Well, maybe not immediately. I'm a Vampire enthusiast and can usually find a way to slip Vampires into just about any topic. Scary, I know. I enjoy reading Wer and Vamp stories, but not so much Fantasy in the medieval settings. I prefer Contemporary fiction with Supernatural/Fantasy elements, but I'll sometimes settle for Sci-Fi if it strikes my fancy.
I've got so many ideas rolling around in my head, I had to stash 'em somewhere. Well, it's been a long time in coming, but I've finally decided to put my stories up on FF.net after years of lurking. Heh.

NEWEST: 11-19-09
Okay, okay... so I've left everyone in the dark for a while. That idea I got in my head has turned into a short story. No, nothing has been abandoned or forgotten... it's just a detour. The idea focuses on Left 4 Dead (the first game). I've decided to ramble it out to see how far I get with it. I know approximately where it will begin and end. I have most of the plot rambled to my betas; they've been looking at it and like it. So! As for how far it's gotten? I'm on the 42nd page. Heh... 42. It rests, currently, at 16,900 words. These numbers are likely to change very quickly. But at least now you know where I am and what I've been doing!
I look forward to continuing CoD. This little break has been refreshing and I'm feeling more interested in where it's going. When you write on something for so long, sometimes it stops being fun. It becomes work. My writing isn't as good when I'm not interested in the subject matter. So this is all part of a giant scheme to keep my writing fresh and of peak quality and condition. I hate giving people sub-par stories to read. At least, I keep telling myself that's the only reason. It could also be that I'm easily distracted... ... Yeah, probably that, too. That's okay, though, I usually get back on topic somehow.
When I get something new up, I hope to hear from people in reviews! Let me know what's good, what's bad, and what you want to see more of. It helps improve the writing!

NEW: 11-10-09
So... with everything in life going on, I've had little time to write. There's been a short break and I've been capitalizing. Unfortunately, it's not on CoD. An idea has been swarming my head for the past couple of days and it's blotting out everything else. Absolutely everything! Bah. It seems I will have to address it. The delay will probably continue until its completion, but I promise I will share the fruits of this detour with you all! It should be a short story, but that's fine with me. The idea that keeps pestering me was not long and involved. Apologies again. I will work swiftly!

OLD: 11-04-09
My sincerest apologies, but there will be delays. I am trying to address CoD when I can, but progress is slow with everything going on. When things stop being so hectic, I'll be able to write more and faster. As it is, I'm distracted and the words aren't coming easily. Recently, I picked up Left 4 Dead... that's been my main stress reliever and I must say I'm enjoying it. I have some story ideas on it, but I might not bother with it much. I've too much on my plate as it is. CoD's Chapter 25 is about a third of the way done and I know where I'm going with most of the chapter, anyhow. When I get to really writing it, it'll go smoothly.

OLDER: 10-08-09
Alright! I have Chapter 24 finished! I still need to have it proofread, but I'm pretty happy with it. I'm aware it took a while, but I'm quite sure it's worth the wait. There's lots of plot building! Major plot building. So this is a chapter to keep fresh in your mind. It's gonna be really important throughout future chapters! I also have some terms that I need to add to the Glossary, but there aren't that many. Barring the totally unexpected, I should have a new chapter up today!
EDIT: Okay... so the new chapter and the glossary are up. There have been some issues with the chapters that I simply cannot explain. For some reason, I am finding it impossible to center text with the stupid Document Manager. If I center one line of text, all other centered text then aligns left. After about five times going back and forth with it, I decided to give up. It is a minor discrepancy and won't really affect the new chapter. I'll check back later and see if it will fix itself on an edit. Regardless, I hope you enjoy Chapter 24!
