Author has written 10 stories for Harry Potter. (Updated summer, 2009) Hi everyone! I am still Laura, but now I am the mother to THREE children, James, Lily and our new little Albus. (No, not their real names.) Writing has taken a back seat to having a baby this year, and then time in the local hospital with our little guy who was too eager to see us. We've sold our house, moved and are now settled into a wonderful life in "souless suburbia." I began writing FanFiction before it was ever called that! When I was in junior high, I wrote a seris of novels, squeals to Disney's Beauty and the Beast. I had to toss most of them due to a move but I wish I had kept them to revise and post on-line! :) I love, love, love Harry Potter and began writing HP FanFiction shortly after book 7 came out. I owe this to BudMum, who I know from another forum. She also got me hooked into the Reviewer's Lounge. Bad influence, I tell ya! ;P I do write my own orginal novels but nothing is published. FanFiction is "quick and dirty," which is about all I have time for with three kids, a dog, a husband and a house to clean! I am American but I joke that I was probably British in a past life, seeing as how I have an unnatural love for tea and British literature, the American Transcendentalist nonwithstanding. My kidlets are probably the inspiration for most of my stories and many of the events in "The Magic of Parenting" really have happened to me. I love pumpkin spice lattes, hot or cold tea, homemade breads, a good book, a nice bubble bath, time ALONE (hard to come by with three small kids) anda house that stays cleaner for more than five seconds. I hate laundry, wet clumps of nasty hair in the drain, taking out garabage (this is a Man Job, along with killing all nasty bugs), and vomit. December 07: I realized that I am on a Longbottom kick. I also realized, while fact-checking something in Book Four, that I have misspelled "Longbottom" in every.single.story. I am very sorry!
