Author has written 55 stories for Spider-Man, Everybody Loves Raymond, Fantastic 4, A Bugs Life, Mario, Lion King, Ninja Turtles, 24, Annie, X-Files, House, M.D., Calvin & Hobbes, Peter Pan, Kim Possible, Little Mermaid, Mulan, Batman Begins/Dark Knight, and Simpsons. And thus I clothe my naked villainy / With old odd ends stolen forth from holy writ / And seem a saint when most I play the devil. Completely Unethical: Just a silly little one shot that popped into my head, this time featuring Raph and Don. When a Prankster Calls: Some of Bart's off screen calls to Moe's, co-written with my best friend. The title is a parody of the 2006 movie, When a Stranger Calls. Not much to say that you can't figure out from reading it, other then where the made up name 'Codd' comes from. In the Flander's family, there's a ryming scheme, Rodd, Todd, Maude. Hence the name Codd, and Moe's comeback. Whispers: For those of you who have see the episode 'Marge's Son Poisoning,' and wondered what Moe whispered to Homer about his idea, this is what I think. I actually timed the story with the whispering scene, so that part at least was accurate. Dark Knight's New Challenge: Well, I was thinking about Dark Knight, and all of a sudden this came to mind! Kind of a spur of the moment thing, but I think it turned out okay. Oh, and just to clear up any confusion, in the last line of the poem, I'm talking about Batman. Before the interrogation scene, Batman thought that Joker wanted to kill him. And after having witnessed the painful deaths of his victims (especially the Batman wanna be, Brian) I could see him secretly hoping he'd come back alive. When in Doubt: Just a little plot bunny that attacked me a while back and I took from there. It was originally a oneshot, but there are so many things that older brothers can lie about when it comes to the elements, garage doors, and even duct tape! And we all know that Raph picked on Mikey a lot as a chibi, but I'm sure he can be quite sociable and even half friendly when he's lying to him! Understand: After watching and reading all those things about super heroes getting therapy, I wanted to see what would happen if Splinter tried to play 'Brother Counselor' with Leo and Raph. And they surprised me! It goes about as well as expected, considering the history those two have. Originally, it was going to be set when they were teens, and I was going to have April make them go see her therapist friend to help deal with their 'issues', but that was a bad idea for a number of reasons (how would you react to two large mutant turtle patients?) I think its better this way, and I'm sure the imaginary therapist I would have sent them to shares that sentiment. A Whole New Species of Spirit: This is almost embarrassing to admit, but I actually had the conversation in this story with my older brother about two days before I wrote it out here. I thought it was hilarious and just had to share, but I made the turtles toddlers because I didn't think anyone would believe someone older, like my age, could have a conversation that freakishly weird! Don't ask, just read and you'll see for yourself. In a Matter of Honor: This one is set in 'Mulan' at the exact moment when Fa Zhu blows out the candle. Since I was kid that was very symbolic for me and story ideas would pop in my mind every time I saw that. And in the end, I ended up with this one. After all, no matter how strong someone is, we all have our moments of weakness sooner or later. I'll Make a Man (Or Turtle) out of You: Well, I won't give away too much, but this one goes into what it must have been like for Splinter to train his sons at first. It references to something I think most people will recognize, but you'll have to read it yourself to see what I'm talking about. For me, part of being a good author is changing the familiar to fit a different perspective. And the title above is the actual title, but the uploading program won't let me keep the parentheses and it would look just plain sloppy without them. Those Moments: I've read a lot of great stories about what happened with Drakken and Shego after the 'Moodulator Incident', so here's my version. I don't see them having a big emotional discussion after the fact, just a quick inquiry with Drakken's discomfort at asking her about it, and Shego's annoyance at his nervousness. And it's mentioned that he might have slightly misinterpreted her actions, but honestly, if Shego remembered what happened I don't think she'd tell Drakken, and would probably go out of her way to avoid discussing the matter. (hint hint) Stand by Me: Just a lightly introspective fic centered on Dot and Flik. I love writing for those two, their unique relationship is fun to explore; and on that subject, this story shows how I think Dot views their 'relationship'. To Live in Fear: On hiatus for now, but don't worry, I have absolutely no intentions of giving it up and I'm waiting patiently for more idea bunnies (plot bunnies?) to come out of my closet. I already have an ending and most of the middle formed, but I'm still stuck on a section in the middle. Please be patient with me, and don't give up on this one guys! I Am: This one not only explores how the turtles view themselves, but also why I love writing about them so much. Their characters are just so clear cut. Leo? He's big brother. Fearless Leader. A pain in the butt sometimes, but aren't most older brothers? And Mikey's the sunshine, or spirit, Don is the glue that holds them together, and Raph is the fierce protector. They are so well defined, and they all know it, as does everyone else. I've played with the idea that they're so set in one aspect (most of the time) of personality is because though they're mutated and intelligent, they were still originally animals; and animals typically have one set personality that they stick to most of the time. Like anger, mischievousness, etc. But that's just one idea, I'm sure there are other explanations too. Doubts: A brotherly love fic that focuses on how Leo helped each brother to cope with self blame over their Sensei's disappearance, and also who helped Leo too see that it wasn't his fault for leaving him either. Has what I consider a happy ending, its nice to see Leo realize once in a while that not everything is his fault. Hold On: A slightly angsty Leo centric story, focusing on Leo's take on the 'Exodus' mission. He may not be self hating, but dang, season 4 Leo had a lot of issues... Time of Your Life: Another Betty/Peter centric fic, this time showing Peter's perspective of the still fresh breakup. Poor guy, I think he'll need a hug after this one. That'll be the Day That I Die: Mikey hogged Leo's attention for a reason when he came home. Here's why. Oh yeah, Leo's loyalty runs deep. Sometimes: A drabble of sorts with Drakken being introspective for once. Maybe Shego was just an employee at first, but she isn't anymore. Just hope she doesn't figure that out. Always: My first attempt at a 'Little Mermaid' fic. Eric's stubborn when it comes to coaxing information out when he's depressed, but look beneath the surface and there's more that meets the eye. Ariel of all people should realize that. Different: I don't stick to any particular pairing when it comes to House, but this one's completely House/Cameron. Despite what anyone thinks, because of the way House is the way him and Cameron came together and then fell apart couldn't have been done any differently. Warning Signs: A friend of mine told me the barometer story featured here and it reminded me so much of Raph I just had to write this! Poor Splinter, if Raph ever has kids I hope they put him through what Splinter went through... and I'm sure he'll tell them as much. Forgiven, But Far From Forgotten: Not only my first published Kim Possible story, but also my first attempt at writing an angsty Ron. And yeah, Kim's right about Seniors free will not being Ron's fault, but its pretty clear she bent the truth on it not being his fault at all. But if Ron can see it for himself, there's no reason for her to beat him up more. All she can do is hope he learned his lesson. Michelangelo: After finishing 'Same as it Never Was, I noticed Don didn't have a lot of time to process the alternate turtles deaths; what with the end of the world thing to take care of. So this is Don's take on the futuristic Michelangelo, and why he makes his unspoken vow of why he will never let it happen to Mikey again. Confessions: A missing link of sorts for the episode 'Same as it Never Was'. I noticed that Leo and Raph we're pretty much biting each other's heads off at first (don't read too deeply into the 'truce' handshake people) and in the final fight something seemed to be better between them, even if it was only a little bit. Here's my take on what happened before the battle. Feelings: My first drabble for one of my favorite movies. A bit angsty, but how would you feel if your best friend unexpectedly betrayed you? See: I have quite a few ideas about Hobbes and his 'double nature' which I'll probably discuss in some future stories, but none of them will relate to each other unless I specifically specify that. I would have been upset if Susie had moved in the comics, but I think this is a nice way too tie up things between the three. Hopefully you guys will enjoy it and feel I've tied off any loose ends. Painful: A drabble focused on Cameron and Wilson, with Cameron being forced to confront a question she had hoped she would never have to ask. I might lengthen it someday but I make no promises. The Walls Come Crashing Down: Irresistible is one of my all time favorite episodes mostly because of the scene where Scully breaks down. I don't mean that in a sadistic way, I simply think the way Mulder handled it and the way she responded was a huge breakthrough for both of them. Hopefully Scully will learn someday that she can trust Mulder and she doesn't always need to have all the walls up. She: Mulder may not be introspective very often, but when he is he'd probably make even Masters of Emotions shake their heads. But I Love Him: When it come to real best friends, they can do almost anything and you can still attach a 'but I love him/her.' I know this for a fact due to a few of my older brothers and best friends. (and some who fall into more then one of those categories) They can be jerks sometimes, but I will always attach a 'but I love them' whenever I think or talk about them. It's the same with Calvin and Hobbes. You're my Brother: To Robert, Ray could probably be aptly described as a mosquito buzzing in his ear, but when he really needs him Robert won't let him down. Why? Title says it all. Perfect: In the comics and movies alike, Peter Parker has had his share of ups and downs, but we all hope he'll appreciate this up, because things will start going down for him real soon, and real fast. Sometimes the Best Isn't Good Enough: Originally a oneshot, but now includes all the Peter/Mary Jane fights from Spider-Man 3. For such a smart guy, he can be real dense when it comes to women's feelings. Not that they were all his fault though, but that's up for each person to decide. Funny thing about this one is, I actually started with the sentence about J. Jonah Jameson's attacking Spider-Man and went from there. Making Sense Yet None At All: Just a little bonding moment (well, what they'd consider bonding) between Foreman and Chase that explores a question I've always had about Chase and Cameron's... erm, relationship. Moments: Considering I have a lot of brothers and most of these scenes are based on them, it will be pretty random. But its still cute, and I hope to get a laugh from someone. Senses: I have absolutely nothing to say about this one. You'll just have to read it. Let the Walls Come Down: This one juggles Scully and Mulder's point of views on certain events from 'Small Potatoes'. It also deals with why Mulder never joked about it later in the episode or in any one since. This is the Life: For those who are wondering, this is based on the original movie for Annie. Slightly different song, but its pretty identifiable as what would be going through her head in that situation. Choices: There's different experiences and characters used in this one, but they all add up to one resounding decision. Brother: We all know Robert loves his little brother, but this elabortes on that by showing the specific ways he proves it. Tonight I Want To Cry: My first attempt at doing a Betty Brant centered fic. Very dark and angsty, but so is her current situation, so it works. On A Boring Sunday Afternoon: One day I was thinking about the elements, my mind wandered to comics, comics made me think of the turtles, and I ended up writing this. I like how one of my reviewers described Mikey, and I quote, "Mikey would be wind, because wind can't be controlled, and it's unpredicitable. It can be playful, like a gentle breeze or powerful like a hurricane!" So true, but sadly I couldn't include Mikey going on about himself in this one. He's got too short an attention span. Serpent in Paradise: A definite AU. It was orginally going to be how Scar met up with the hyenas, but some details here are different so its an alternate universe version. When You Need Me: Interestingly enough, my brother gave me the idea for this one. It was based off a conversation we had about 'Super Mario Sunshine', what if Bowser wasn't lying about everything when he said Peach was Bowser Jr's mother. And what if Peach pretended to be surprised because she was embarassed about it? The Sadness Behind Her Eyes: Rosalina was a very interesting character in my opinion, but sometimes she just seemed so sad... Symbiote Suit Mario: Well, a lot of inspiration for this one came from the first Bowser fight in 'Mario Galaxy'. I have never seen Mario look that mad! Then he just snaps back to normal. So I started thinking... every hero has a dark side. And like Peter Parker, they can either face the darkness, or be consumed by it. And here's a link to the (wish it was official) picture of Mario wearing the symbiote with his overalls. http://fc06.deviantart.com/fs47/f/2009/241/2/b/Symbiote_Suit_Mario_by_GamerAshley.jpg A Bug's Life 2: In most of my ABL fics, I've never really talked much about Dot having a crush on Flik. I thought that was kind of strange, especially since after the movie everyone knew that Atta and Flik would get together sooner or later... so that's the main focus for the story. There's some action and old enemies, but its one of my older stories so its still pretty short. From Dot's Eyes: Considering I was kind of a 'small fry' when I was Dot's age, I started wondering how something told from her point of view would work out, paticularly since Flik and Atta are the main characters. And you know the rest! It's All Coming Back to me Now: I don't think this is one of my best older ones, but live and learn. Some people have told me they like it, so I'll leave it up. I just think May is so sweet. Reminds me of my mom actually... Super Mario's Super Poems: Originally, I wrote Peach's poem with the intention of putting it in what later became 'Symbiote Suit Mario', with her giving it to Mario after the rescue as an apology of sorts. But that seemed very OOC for them to me and didn't make the cut later anyways, so I saved it for this one. And more poems came to mind later anyways, so it worked out well. Protecting Me: This one pretty much worked out the same as 'Outside Looking In', (see below) even with the timelines, except its a different universe and song. Oh, and it deals a bit with Peach's past. Outside Looking In: I was listening to Jordan Pruitt one day and heard the song which I named this after. When I started thinking about all the similarities I just couldn't let it go, so I wrote this. Definitely one of my better older ones. Moving On: This one is pretty old and didn't get great reception, but I'm cool with that and I'll leave it up so you can see what I used to write like. I noticed Debbie did seem genuinely upset in the bridge scene, and I thought it merited deeper exploration. But I agree that she is extremely shallow and disloyal. A True Hero: Well, I always like to write stories centered on secondary and often overlooked characters. Hence this one, it's based on the first movie when Spider-Man saves the baby. Not in the baby's point of view, but I might do that sooner or later... or maybe not. Ally's F Aftermath: I was kind of disappointed with the way this episode ended, I thought it left way to many loose ends, and Tommy was never mentioned again. I also think Ally's character is often overlooked as a spoiled brat and minor character... okay she is kind of spoiled but she didn't deserve to have her love life sabatoged. Updates Okay, I've got a lot of stories in the making, aka, about two paragraphs to thirty ideas, but I figure I should finish revising some of my older ones before I start any more big projects, in the least. So revisions are coming! Mostly in the form of spell check, plot hole checking, and a heck of a lot of re-writes. No deleting stories in the near future, but if that changes I'll post a note in my profile and the story that's to be deleted. I'm working on a sequel to 'When You Need Me' as well. I know, I know. I just gave a speech about new projects. But its no where near done, (I'll most likely revise When You Need Me first) and I wouldn't mind some ideas, if you guys wanna help. Just PM me, and I'll send you what I have so far along with where I'm taking the story. If I use any of your ideas, I'll credit you in the chapter. Warning, this one's going to be much darker then the first one, guys. | |||||||||||
