Do to a certain "borrowing" of the The Book by Anna, the trio is sent back in time to an old New England town. While looking for The Book, they happen across a mysterious girl. As it turns out, this girl is more important than they think. When Joe and the girl are alone and getting to know each other better, a new person shows up and claims to know a lot about the girl. Why did they meet each other? Is there a reason why? The new person takes them to a place called Draylon, where they train and learn together, but nothing can prepare them for the final showdown.

The Kidnapping

When someone and their two assistants kidnap Joe's friends and family, Joe finds himself in a place where he meets people that shouldn't be alive, friend's that aren't the way they should be, and a repeating prophecy.

The War of Time

An old friend is back with a new prophecy to begin. This time though, Anna has the prophecy. The new prophecy predicts yet another war. What will happen? No one knows, but one thing is for sure, the war won't just be a battle of hate. It will also be a battle of love.

The Surprise Visit

Appearance:

Normal: Sydney has long, light, blonde hair, like her mom’s, except she has dyed black streaks in it. She usually ears it in a ponytail, but looks way better with it down. She also has bright blue eyes, like her dad’s, with a bright green ring around her iris (the symbol of a god/goddess). Her skin is lightly tanned. She has normal height for her age, but her figure (waist, hips, chest, etc.) is very advanced for her age. Her legs are long, and she is also very muscular. All the boys want her because they all think she's very hot. The black streaks eventually fade out. (They are gone in The War of Time.)

Shadowed: The Shadow makes people darker. So, gradually, as the Shadow took more and more control over Sydney her hair turned darker and grew longer. In The Kidnapping it was reddish/brown and down to her waist. As the Shadow continues to possess her, her hair will still get darker and longer. Her aura also turned black, because that’s where the Shadow lays. The darker she gets, the more the Shadow becomes visible, in her aura and her eyes will turn black.

Personality/Past/Summary: The night Sydney was born, Kerk, launched an attack on Draylon. She had to be sent away to New York for safety. Sydney lived there the first 12 years of her life, thinking she’d been born there, and was living with her real parents. Kayla kept on eye on her the whole time. Eventually, she met up with Joe at one of Sydney’s band’s (Heart on a Wire) concerts and warped to Greece with him. There, she and Joe met Kayla. Sydney learned that she was and the people she thought were her parents weren’t. Her real parents are Nicole, Goddess of Time Travel, and John, Father Time. Eventually she moved to Draylon, the magical place in its own universe where all the time gods and goddesses live. She trained a lot and eventually became Goddess of Time Arts. She is more powerful than all the other gods and goddesses in the entire space/time continuum combined. Part of her training involved Nicole entering her in tournaments to practice her skills. Nicole entered her in every single one in the space/time continuum, and Sydney got first place in all of them. Sydney is the youngest and best fighter in the entire space/time continuum. Her brother, Kerk, wants to kill her (or worse) for past reasons. She tends to get what she wants (the easy way or not). She loves skateboarding, music, and art. She’s semi emo/goth. She wears black a lot. She used to be the lead singer in her band. She can sing, draw, and dance better than any professional. She’s very smart, and always has an awesome comeback, which tend to be witty, humorous, and funny remarks. She can be ambitious. She sometimes acts before she thinks and can hold a grudge forever. Sydney’s very rebellious and defiant. She hates to be told what to do. She also hates rules and laws, and loves to break them. She usually takes her anger out physically (for example: if someone makes her mad she'll either hit them, or if something makes her mad, she'll find a punching bag and beat it). Nicole loves to keep her in shape. All the boys at school want her. She’s 3rd in line of inheritance, meaning if something happens to John and Nicole, she’ll be in charge. Because she's so rebellious, she's the one who takes charge. Sydney really doesn't like blood. She's not scared of it (hemophobic), it just makes her nauseous and light headed. Because she's a goddess she has vivid dreams. Because she's the most powerful goddess, her dreams are the worst. She's a restless sleeper and tends to mumble in her sleep. If she's having a bad dream she moves around a lot. She always wins the argument. A song that fits her best would be: Hands Held High by Linkin Park. Because she’s the most powerful goddess in the space/time continuum, only The Book is more powerful than her. She tends to be the seductress of a relationship. Sydney lost her virginity when she was 11 (Joe was actually her 5th. More on that in later stories).

Before Death: Before Kairi died, she had white/blonde hair. Her eyes were light brown, and her skin wasn’t as pale as it is now.

Personality/Past/Sum: Kairi was born in the 1300s. She lived in Ischia, a small isle in Italy. She died because of the Bubonic Plague. She was the first person to die of it. Her dad is a shop keeper, so he has to travel to get supplies a lot. Kairi went with him on a trip to Asia one time. She saw a little kitten in the street. Kairi, who loves animals, ran out, and grabbed it. She didn’t know it had fleas. That’s when she got The Plague. A few short days later, she died. Her father immediately went back home to have a funeral for her. After she was buried in the ground, Death came. Death let her return as part of the undead, but if he asked for anything, she had to do it. Death does this with all special deaths, the ones he’s proud of. Kairi, however, had to change her identity. She had to change her name and was forced to live on her own. Her looks changed when she died too. Her hair turned black and shortened. Her eyes turned fiery red. Her skin got really pale too. Because an animal was involved in Kairi’s death, that animal became her Follower. A Follower is an undead person’s, or Returner’s, friend and guardian in the afterlife. The cat, which Kairi named Eve because of her night black fur, can only appear when Kairi calls her. Kairi has no idea who her mom is. She left when Kairi was only a few months old. Her father remarried though, and had another child, her brother, Marco. Kairi moved around a lot after she returned undead. Eventually Death came to her with a request. She had to go bring a goddess back from the dead. That goddess being Sydney. Now, Kairi’s 11, and will always be that age, because that’s how old she was when she died. Kairi is very preppy and talks a lot. She’s also very girly. Because she is so girly, she loves cheerleading, but is surprisingly good at basketball and baseball.

All the girls fight over him constantly, but he fell in love with Sydney, who’s the girl every boy fights over. He bugged her for a month before she agreed to go out with him. Now all the girls are jealous of Sydney, as they’ve always been, just a lot more now, but must admit they are a cute couple. Cody is a perfect gentleman as well with girls, but can also talk back a bit to adults.

Later, when he tried to take over Draylon again, he was defeated by Sydney. He disappeared and no one has seen him since.

Skyler got lost when he was 9 and came to the school to get to know where everything was. That’s how Ashleigh, Skyler, and Kiyle met Sydney. Skyler is an extremely funny guy, and would love to do standup comedy. He also isn’t that smart.
