Don't worry. I promise, I am not going to drop off the face of the planet. My updates are slow, my reviews are slow, and my PMs and review replies are going to have to battle it out for priority, because I am diving into the pre-final nightmare. Fanfiction is what keeps me sane during this time; I will not drop any of my fics, nor will I stop reviewing/reading what stories of yours I have out there. I simply have less time on my hands with which to do so.

I just thought I should inform everyone as to what plots are spinning around in my head. First, I have these unfinished fics, Desperate and A Turn For The Worse, but I have a few more. Here's the basic ideas.

Esme Oneshot, untitled: What the humans say shouldn't matter. They're wrong about all of them anyway. But when they get cruel and so close to the truth, it still hurts. How do you think Esme became the stay-at-home mom that we saw her as in Twilight?

Breaking Dawn oneshot, untitled: SPOILERS This one is more up in the air, because it requires some skills I don't have, namely managing crowds. So I am looking for someone to coauthor with me, to help with everything. But here's the basics. SM said that there was either no battle, or that everyone died. But what if there was a middle ground? What if it was possible to know that there was a chance for survival? The way I think the battle should have gone. END SPOILERS

Nightmare: what is really like for the Volterra tourists? This fic will eventually be up, even though it's horror, and I don't do horror, but as it is the only Twilight dream I have had, and I need to write it down before I stop having it, I thought I would share. Come on, you know you're curious. Nikki/Angeliss and horror? How's that going to work?

Dark Eyes: I am rewriting it. And it's taking longer than I thought. There are implausable points, loose ends never tied, Edward is completely OOC, and I have a completely different ending. It will go all the way through Twilight, now, and a little beyond. I have a lot of work ahead of me. XD

So there you have it, folks. This is what I have planned for you. Hopefully I can get it all done.

I am in shock. Fanfiction has just deleted my fiction, Dark Eyes, for reasons that I do not understand. Yes- the fic that held us all for six months, that we waited eagerly for the next chapter, that I poured my life and grief into, that helped me connect with many amazing people here. It's gone. All of it. I'm heartbroken. So- I am in need of kind words, and maybe a tissue or two. Make that a lot of tissues. Don't worry though; I am in the process of rewriting it! It'll be up in a few weeks. I am adding my was-going-to-be-a-sequel onto the end of it, because it's so short, and it did need to be written. So you guys might want to reread it, just for that. I am willing to PM anyone who wants to know when it will be back up.

My Fanfiction Philosophy:

Okay, the whole character thing? Where you can choose what two characters you want on the list? That's not a pairing. It is your main two characters, and there may or may not be romance between them. At least, that's the way it is in my mind. So if I wanted Bella and Rosalie to have a heart to heart, they aren't going to randomly start making out. Yes? Yes.

Here are my thoughts on AU. A lot of it sucks. Like really bad. So why are over half of my fics AU? Because I am into the characters, and I like the freedom of exploring them as I wish, not as I am constrained to do under canon. So most of my stories will either be AU or preTwilight. Hopefully I can keep the characterizations- I do try my best, as that is one of the most important things for me when writing.

"Because I must admit, when writing, it sometimes is fun to me to torture my characters"- Stephenie Meyer. She must be a kindred spirit. I love the Hurt Comfort Genre, mostly because I am well aquainted with the humanity of pain, and seeing others deal with it. The idea that some people react one way and others react completely differently is fascinating, and also heartbreaking. It is a lot easier to relate, for me anyway, with emotional pain than silly happy fics. I think it should come as little surprise that my best work is the painful stuff, like The Funeral, Desperate, and Dark Eyes.

Plot bunnies definition: plot ideas that multiply inside your head, refusing to leave you alone. Many authors view this as a good thing. I however, do not view this as a blessing from your muse, in fact, I believe it is a crippling curse, that binds you to your computer, posting chapters at insane times of night, writing all day long until you have carpal tunnel in your wrists and you look like a vampire from not venturing out into the sunlight for months. Why do writers submit themselves to this torture? For a little thing called a review. You see, while the writers are torturously slaving away, forsaking their real lives for a simulacrum of praise, the readers pass on, unaware of this painful sacrifice, until one of them, most likely a fellow author, takes pity on them and blesses them with a piece of verbiage, claiming, “LOL that was aMAYzing LOL”, and the writers know and understand that their efforts are worthwhile.

STOP THE INJUSTICE. LEAVE A REVIEW.

Personal Info:

My real name... kind-of, anyway, is Nikki. That's what everyone calls me, and it's been my name since I was able to respond to something I knew as my name. It's a long story that you really don't want to hear. You can call me anything you want, barring innuendo. Eh. Whatever.

I'm 20 years old. I love writing. I always have. I may be a senior psych major, but all of my friends either are or have been English majors. Wait. There was a drama major in there. I'm a grammar stickler, but I'm nice about it. So I get people/characters, and I can write. Or at least I hope you think I can. It seems to be a matter of opinion; I've even heard people saying Stephenie Meyer can't write.

Interests: I write teen fantasy novels in my spare time, although they have not been published. I am an avid reader, and a definite Twilight fan. I hope to be a counselor some day soon.

Why I'm writing fanfics: They were stuck in my head. I had to write them or have them whirling around in my brain forever. So I decided to try writing fanfics as creative writing exercises. I hope they turn out well. Please let me know if you enjoy them!

What I hope to gain out of it: Experience, feedback, and getting better at my own writing. If you don't like it, then let me know. A simple "This sucked" will suffice. And if you do like it, then tell what it is you liked, so that I can tailor my writing to my audience. You can't give me any flames worse than the reviews I give myself.

Things I do for my reviewers: Every time you comment, I will try to respond. If you have a question, I will answer it, if you think something is bad, I might change it, but I will tell you why I won't if I don't take your advice. And I don't go to your profile unless you review. So with one review, you could gain another reader for your own fics, who reviews pretty consistently. It's win/win.

Recommends:

I am collecting stories to put on my profile. These would be fics that are brilliantly wonderful, as I have extremely high standards for them, for you, who like to follow particular characters. There will only be a few per character, and I doubt I will have Bella or Edward recommends- too many fics.
