Let's see...about me...well, I'm an angsty American student. I'm generally pretty friendly, but in real life I tend to keep to myself. I also learned to read on my own (and I'm obsessed with learning everything else on my own; I think it's more of an accomplishment than learning it from someone else). I'm a perfectionist, and I hate messing up. I'm also a deep thinker, but I have a screwed-up brain.

I've had some experience, though my past works are nothing to commend. I hope to write some good fanfiction here, with some personality and imagination imbued in each one. Right now I'm currently working on a revised version of my old fic Metroid Fusion 2: Scion.

In case you haven't picked up on it by now, I was once a member of Nintendo's NSider forum before they closed, under the name H3adhunt3r (The whole bit about MF2: S gives it away).

Let me say this right now: I'm not an author who's interesting in dumbing down writing just to make it suitable for the kiddies. I'm not afraid to include gore, language, and sex in my fanfiction, or my writing in general. Whether it will be used properly is another story, but if you are squeamish about any of these things, don't bother reading. However, I am a sensible individual, and if I were to use any of these things, I would try to make sure that they fit in proper context. I do draw the line at sibling to sibling incest, however; I'm not touching that with a 100 foot pole. Anything else is possible, though.

I tend to gravitate toward "expanded universe" fanfiction as my preferred works. I like to find holes in the canon, and fill it in. I also like to use little, insignificant details to reinforce my stories, or create whole subplots based on them. You won't really see me do too many character introspections, unless if it's someone really unorthodox. I'd love to be able to do a parody or two, but I'm not the best comedian in the world, so I need to really put some effort into coming up with good jokes.

I'm a gamer nerd, whose interests include Metroid, Castlevania, Tales of Symphonia, Halo, Super Smash Bros., Mario (particularly Paper Mario), and any game with the name "Treasure" slapped on it (that includes Gunstar Heroes). The current gen consoles in my house right now are Xbox 360, Wii, and DS, though I've also got a GCN, N64, GBA, PS2, and Xbox on the premises. I also like video game music as well. Sooooo much better than mainstream music.

I don't read too many books, actually. Not on my own, anyway. I've read a bit more recently, but I don't think I read enough to consider myself an avid reader.

Oh, and one last thing. I AM NOT A GIRL!! DON'T BELIEVE WHAT ANYONE SAYS!! I AM MALE!! I DON'T HAVE BREASTS!! I HAVE SOMETHING IN BETWEEN MY LEGS!!

Oh, and yes, people have mistaken me for a girl. Just pointing that out. ;)

As to my thoughts on criticism...

For the longest time, I viewed flaming as a lazy and pathetic way to review something. I still do, to an extent. But I think I'll try my hand at loosening up a bit, just to try it on.

Someone I admire once said that "free speech is worthless unless you're willing to let people say things you do not like." After hearing this and thing of similar ilk, I had to reflect on my ideals for a bit. I didn't quite agree with the idea that being polite could be counted as censorship. But ultimately I think that's what it was. I have a fragile heart and am far too proud to be rational in the face of scrutiny, a vice I have had to live with. I advocated such beliefs because of my own weakness in facing my accusers, and I feel foolish for lying to myself and waiting until today to edit this part of my profile.

This won't change how I do things or how I review other people's work or beta their fics or whatnot. What I want to do, ultimately, is to just sway with the wind of criticism, so to speak, instead of clinging to ground to keep myself from being blown away. I will mess up, probably horrificly, in attempting to do this, and I probably won't fulfill anybody's expectations. At the end of the day, though, I'm going to have to do this sooner or later. So I'll have to let it go now.

While I work on this, I want you to review honestly and clearly. I want you to treasure the gift of free speech and let no one, not even ME, try to take it away from you. Let your voice be heard, now matter how absurd it sounds. Because in the end, it only hurts because I cannot see beyond the hurt.

In it, the three nations of Malkuth, Daath, and Kimlasca are facing riots on a phenomenal scale against both their abolishment of the Score and their liberal treatment of replicas. When an albiore belonging to the Malkuth Air Force is attacked by a mysterious group, things get even more serious. (Mystery/Drama)
