I'm a guy who likes writing, reading, and politics. 'Nuff said.

I am a fairly selective fan, but among my interests is some kinds of science fiction, as well as the occasional fantasy, provided it's original enough. That's what attracted me to Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials, and that's why I'm writing a fanfic on that story. I tend toward BIG when it comes to writing, and my story here, Republic (univentively named) is no exception. I like His Dark Materials because it bridges fantasy and science fiction, it has an intricate plot, interesting characters, and plenty of room for continuation.
