Hi!

I am The Outlander, as you can see. I called myself The Outlander, because I believed myself to be one. I am Belgian, you see, and I was under the impression that not many of my fellow countrymen/women were into fanfiction, let alone this site in particular. How wrong and short-sighted I was! There's loads of them, which renders my nickname inane! Anyway, I still like it.

So what's there to tell about me? Currently, I have reached the blessed age of 18 years old. I live in a small town in Belgium, although I expect to move to a big city when I'm all grown up. I am into gaming, writing, fantasy and Star Wars! So guess what I do! I write fanfiction about Star Wars and extremely cool games/tv-series Jade Empire, Heroes,... Those are not my only occupations, though. I play the trumpet, I watch football, I watch as many movies and tv-series as I can get my hands on. I used to breakdance, but my teacher quit and I never found a new group (which is a shame, because I was really good). Ever since then I lack exercise, I'm afraid. Every month I take up running, yet I lack the discipline to run more than two times in a row. Same goes for working out. The only thing I seem to be able to keep up is gaming, and doing absolutely nothing that contributes to society. Which makes me a hypocrite, because I hate that kind of people.

Anyway, I seek to change that, because from next year on, I'll be a journalist-in-training. I plan to work at some kind of newspaper, later a full-time writer maybe. My dreams? Working as a writer for videogames and publishing my fanfics as canon books. Silly dreams, eh? Go ahead and laugh, but I can't help it, I'm just being honest here =)

Other random facts: I am a vegetarian for over 10 years now; I am slightly atheistic, even though I don't want to; I look up to my brothers more than I should; I own an XBOX360 Elite; my mind is always full of evil intention, even though I never let it out; I open up only to people I don't know, or know extremely well; fanfiction is my means of saying everything I do not dare to say or do in real life;... The list goes on!

Anyway, that's me in a nutshell. I hope you are kind enough to take the time to try one of my stories. Thou shalt not be disappointed! They are my life's work! Up until now at least.

Stories:

-The Beneris Conflict (Star Wars): My pride and joy. Invented the characters myself, invented the setting and invented new alien races. It's basically a story about a civil war, orchestrated by the Sith. Two Jedi, a Padawan and his Master, are asked to deal with it. But it proves to be a difficult task, that's for sure. Lots of action, lots of conversations as well, lots of gore, lots of character-depth (I hope), and a story that I hope is without any holes in it. Wow, that sounds good. You should try it!

-The making of an Emperor (Jade Empire): It's been way too long since I last wrote a chapter. It's a prequel to the game, situated during the end of Sagacious Tien's rule. I tried to make the characters really interesting, which means awesome yet flawed. Very different characters as well: there's the young heir to the throne; his raunchy love interest; the intuitive and sometimes dark-ish cousin; the remorseless badass friend-from-birth. Take your pick, there's sure to be someone you'll love. The goal of the story was to explain a lot of things that occur in the game, and also deepen out the history of the Empire in general. There are a lot of connections with the game. Superficially, there seem to be some continuity mistakes (with the references and all), but it's all intentional, and totally logical when the dust is settled, I promise you. =) Gosh, I need to start working on this again...

-A geek's love interest (Desperate Housewives): Still not entirely finished, and I don't believe I ever will, although it's a decent story in its genre. Fluffy, I suppose, yet also with a lot of focus on the characters. But again, I'll only finish this if there are hordes of fans sending love-mails to me, begging for this story to be finished. And I don't see that happening anytime soon.

-Toph Bei Fong, the avalanche beater (Avatar: The Last Airbender): For the Avatar die-hards only. Everybody knows Toph, right? Well, not a lot left for me to deepen out. Basically, this is just a quick earthbending action-scene during a random part in the series.

-Anti-Heroes (Heroes): Yet to be posted. A story, detailing a new Hero's rise to power. Some appearances by known Heroes, yet I don't think any of them will get a prominent part. This is just about a lonely boy discovering his awesome gift, and the way he deals with it/uses it. I foresee this story (I yet have to post the first chapter, I know) to be quite short, yet fantastic. Seriously, it's so good they should implement it into the series. Ouch, my neck just burst out of my t-shirt.
