As an author, I vow that I will never abandon a story. If I, for whatever reason, ever lose interest in a story then I will delete it, instead of getting my readers' hopes up, thinking one day I may continue when I know that I won't. With that said, any story listed at the bottom of this page, I plan on completing at one point or another. Thank you.

Name: Yuri

Age: 18

Birthday: April 8th

Location: Massachusetts, USA

Party: Democrat

Profession: Currently attending Anna Maria College to double major in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Concentration: Criminology and Criminalistics.

Criminology: the scientific study of the nature, extent, causes, and control of criminal behavior. Criminological research areas include the incidence and forms of crime as well as its causes and consequences. They also include social and governmental regulations and reactions to crime.

Criminalistics: the science and profession dealing with the recognition, collection, identification, individualization, and interpretation of physical evidence, and the application of the natural sciences to law-science matters. I have a wide area of knowledge on these subjects (as well as psychology) and I can't wait to start taking classes to expand that knowledge. I am always willing to offer my advice or any information for anyone who is working on a fic concerning law, crime, or psychology so please feel free to ask away.

An inside look on what determines the popularity of a story:

Here's a new little section on my profile. I've noticed lately that many stories aren't getting the credit they deserve, and by that, I mean their number of reviews are lower than they should be, as well as the number of people reading their stories are in the minority. I know that a lot of us write for our own personal reasons but, hey, who doesn't like some positive feedback? So, this is my section on what attracts readers to a story.

1. Summary: Nothing is as important to a reader than a summary. It's the first thing that attracts readers' attention. If you have something in your summary that says 'Crap Summary' than it will turn a lot of people off. Also if your summary reads "Summary inside," then I can guarentee that half of readers aren't going to take the time to click on the story. You want your summary to be brief and consise, something that leaves the reader wanting to learn more.

2. Pairings: This is another big one. When readers' don't know who the story is about, then a lot of people just keep going. It is critical to put in your summary at least the main pairing. Whether you write 'Puzzleshipping,' 'YxYY' 'YuugixAtem' or just mention both their names somewhere in the summary, they all inform the reader about what couple they can expect to read about in the story. I, for example, would click on a story that said 'Two people's journey through love. Puzzleshipping.' as opposed to 'Two people's journey through love,' and that's it. It's all about giving people what they want, so clarify the pairings in your summary.

3. Rating: So, I don't know if many people have realized this, but if you publish your story and the rating is 'M' then it will not appear under the 'new stories' section. Same goes for the 'updated stories' too. And as you all know, that's how most of us see what new and updated stories are out there. So, here's my suggestion: unless your story has a sex scene or extremely graphic violence scene in the first chapter, then set the rating to 'T' because when the time comes, you can always raise it to 'M'. Having the rating of 'T' allows your story to be listed under the 'new and updated stories' section, thus giving readers the opportunnity to see it. Because, if your story starts out with a rating of 'M', the only way that someone can find it is through reccomendation or if a reader uses the search method, which the majority of us don't.

4. OCs (Own Character): This is important for some authors to understand. No one (and by that I mean the majority of reader's) likes OCs. Why? Because reader's don't like reading about someone who doesn't have anything to do with the characters originally in the fandom that they're reading about. Very few readers can bond with OCs and if they see that you have an OC paired with one of the characters in their fandom (For example, YuugixOC) then you can bet that 80 percent of readers will look the other way. So, unless necessay, stray away from OCs.

Anyways, these are just a few tips for both new and old authors to ensure that readers don't turn away from your story before they've even gotten a chance to read what you have to offer.

As a writer, I tend to analyze the fics I read, and pinpoint their flaws, almost unconsciously. I do this a lot with my own writing as well. I know that I make mistakes, as we all do. However, I would like to point out some things about me and my writing, so that you, as a reader, can figure out what to expect from me.

1. Pace: The main problem that I find in my stories, is that I feel like I rush the pairings to quickly. I wish to improve upon this, and hopefully in the future, make my stories a little bit more realistic. Some of you may disagree with me, and may like the pace I use in my stories. However, this is just something that I have noticed in my stories, and that I intend to improve.

2. Reviews: I love reviews, and I know other authors do as well. However, as hard as I try, I do not review as much as I should. The reason why is because I always feel the need to put more than a simple 'Great story. Update.' Not that I think there's anything wrong with that. I am estatic even when I get reviews like that. However, my personal belief is that if an author has managed to capture my short-attention span, then they deserve a lot more than that, and sometimes I just can't find the right words. I plan to improve on this too, and one day, be able to review every single thing I read.

3. Out Of Character: Alright, so the number one thing that you should expect in my stories is for Yugi to be OOC. Yes, the little Yugi who is all friendly and bubbly and forgives people who kidnap his grandfather and becomes friends with them is all cute and whatnot. However, I have always been attracted to a Yugi who stands up for himself and who can be stubborn at times. This is not to say that every single other character I write about will be 'in character'. I will try to write them so, but I can't help but stray from the personality that the characters are given in the anime/manga sometimes. I will never write something as crazy as Seto skipping to a meadow of flowers or Marik joining the peace core and winning a noble prize, but I do enjoy a little OOC at times.

4. Drama: Be prepared to see a lot of drama in my stories. I love plot twists, and I believe it makes it a little bit more realistic when things aren't always as easy for the characters to accomplish. Challenges and obstacles are a part of life, and I wish to show that in my writing. Most of my stories do end up with happy endings, but it will take a lot of drama to get there.

5. Alternate Universe: As of now, all of my stories are AU, so don't expect me to follow the plotlines of the anime/manga. I don’t continue my stories after the show ends, but instead put all the characters in completely different situations. For example, in most of my stories, I write the Yamis as people, not spirits, not the dark half of the hikaris, just regular teenagers/adults finding their way in this world as we all are.

6. Genre: Though drama and romance are key components in my stories, each and every story is completely different from each other. I write supernatural, humor, suspense, etc…So, one moment I could be writing a vampire fic while the next I’m writing a high school fic. I don’t limit myself to one subject/genre.

7. Yami/Atem: Some stories I write will have both Yami and Atem/Atemu. In those stories, I do consider them different people since it is AU. So unless stated otherwise, Atemu and Yami will always be different people, not past selves.

8. Puzzleshipping: This is the center core of all my stories. I love this pairing, and I love the different ways you can write it. I can't see Yugi without Yami, or Yami without Yugi. Never has it been easy to write about true love, but when it comes to these two, the words just flow. It's absolutely amazing.

Behind The Scenes

This is just a section where you guys can see what I plan to work on after my current stories.

Upcoming Projects (in order of top priority):

Decode - There was something off about Atem. I couldn't pinpoint it, but I knew there was more to him than met the eye. And I wouldn't stop until I figured him out. YxA (Ch. 2 in progress)

Break Even - He walked out on him two years ago, never expecting to see the pretty violet eyes of his brother again. But when he meets Yuugi in a chance encounter, can he fix everything that he broke, including Yuugi's heart? YYY Incest. (Ch. 1 in progress)

Cut - It's an addiction, a drug. And once an addict, it is a struggle every single day to stay clean, for when you're heart feels like it being cut with a thousand blades, sometimes all it takes is one real one to take all the pain away. Puzzleshipping. Something To Believe In 'Re-Write'

Before The Worst - He didn't want to love him. He knew what the consequences were if he did. But that was the funny thing about it. He couldn't stop loving Yuugi--even if it meant the end of both of them. Prequel to Break Even.

Hearts & Wrists Intact - Detective Atemu knows never to get too involved with a case. However, when he investigates the kidnapping of a local youth named Yugi Motou, he is willing to risk it all to bring the teen back to safety...preferably with him. YYY (Ch. 1 in progress)

Starstruck: Atem just wants to get away from it all. Yuugi is one of his biggest fans. What happens when their paths cross and they both find more than what they were looking for? YYY

Battlefield: They pretend that they are one of us. They talk like us, and look like us. They have jobs, they have friends, they eat, and drink, and laugh. But they are not human. And they aren't a threat to us. Just to each other. And now they will have to fight for their lives, for the world is not big enough for both vampires and werewolves. --YYY--
