I have come across two instances of my fanfics or characteriations being plagiarised. Recently, one of my reviewers informed me that someone has copied my Kaname and Zero fanfic (The Other Half Of Myself) and posted the chapters on a different site from Fanfiction, claiming that it is her work. I am completely stunned. This is such an obviously wrong thing to do that no one should even have to point it out. Please note that I have not given permission for any of my fanfics to be published elsewhere other than on Fanfiction where I post them myself. A couple of Fanfiction writers also have my express permission to translate them into other languages for the enjoyment of other non English-speaking readers but they are still posted on Fanfiction with full credit to me.

To whoever who has the intention to do so, or are already doing so, please stop! Do not copy my stories or ideas (or anyone else’s for that matter) without crediting the author and do not post them anywhere else under your name or someone else's. My stories are the result of many, many hours of hard work in thinking, typing, proofing, tweaking and polishing a long, long collection of words. I agonise over almost every sentence and over the placement and selection of words, the descriptions and the emotions, the humour and the characterisation to give everyone as well written a story as I am capable of, for the characters and pairings I love and for those who ship them too.

By all means, read my stories and enjoy them, send me your thoughts and recommend my stories if you like but please, please leave them on FFN where I post them up. If you want to share my stories with your friends, please point them to FFN and let them read from that site. If you are inspired by my ideas or characterisations and would like to use them in an original context (not blatant copying) in your stories, please feel free to send me a PM via Fanfiction and get my permission first. It is such a simple thing to do on your part and one that encourages respect and trust between writers. A note in your story crediting the source of your idea is also a reasonable given for any writer.

Taking another author’s stories and posting them elsewhere and especially under another name and without their knowledge and their consent is a deceitful and very hurtful thing to do. It discourages the original author from writing and posting more stories. Copying someone else’s ideas without giving due credit to the originator is also wrong.

To my dear friends and reviewers who have informed me and who have always offered their wonderful support and encouragement, I thank you so very much! Your appreciation and supprt mean a lot to me. I do want to continue writing enjoyable fanfics for everyone and I truly hope this will be the last I hear of my stories or anyone else’s being copied in this utterly disgraceful manner.

13 Jul - Posted HMN Ch23! Finally getting to the point where Kaname can't stand it anymore. Totally my fault of course. And I'm going to add in all the insets that I've skipped before - very remiss of me. I don't know why I keep starting new stories when I haven't finished my ongoing ones but hey, whoever said that muses are obedient and restrict their inspiration to one idea at a time? *smiles* When I first thought of HMN, I wrote a handful of pivotal scenes and this is one of them. I got the idea of Kaname from the words he spoke. Anyway, hope you enjoy this chapter. Cheers.

8 Jul - Chapter 2 of MTJDTMS (OMG, that long?!) posted. I think I'll die if I force myself to update weekly so it'll likely be bi-weekly. Better for my sanity, I think! Please give me feedback... please! LOL. I'm begging.

6 Jul - Never let it be said that YenGirl can stop at one shots. They inevitably turn into multi chaptered fics! So I've just postd FWW Chapter 2 and damn if I'm not in love with a very pretty and pretty vulnerable Draco Malfoy. Yes, I know he did horrible things in canon but hey, I can dream, can't I? Yes, I can! Enjoy this Draco who is (like alll my other leading men) softer than he should be. But yummier that way! *giggles* Cheers.

1 Jul - OMG, can't believe I've actually posted the first chaper of my continuation to Josephine Darcy's magnificent The Marriage Stone! It's sadly abandoned but I can't let it go without attempting to give her Severus and her Harry a closure and a happily ever after. It won't ever match to the original but not for want of trying. At least I can say that I've given it my best shot. Hope you all like it. Cheers.

16 Jun - It's been an age since I updated my profile and so far, I have posted 6 chapters of HMN. But I'm really excited at posting my very first Harry Potter fanfic! Nervous as hell too since it's a drop in an ocean of half a million other fanfics. Still, I had to do it and Sara Holmes' excellent stories and characterisations of Harry and Draco are to blame, particularly her gorgeously dreamy and sweet Dormiscere one shot. 23 Oct - Wow, managed to update HMN Ch14... and right before the end of month rush starts. It's been minutes snatched here and there and wondering if half an hour of sleep is more important than writing/tweaking the chapter :D I know, I'm that pressed for time. I can't post a chapter once it's written, I have to go through it at least 10 times before I think it's even halfway ready for posting. And even then, I read the posted version in preview mode the next day just to see if anything needs tweaking. Of course it does, I usually find at least 10 sentences to edit! LOL, if this doesn't show you how neurotic I am about my chapters, I don't know what will! Still, your reviews make it all worthwhile :) I'm glad things are starting to pick up and it should since we're already at Ch14! Even though only a couple of months have passed since the first chapter :p I'm actually still shorthanded in the store but ah well, I'll never give Kaname and Zero up :) They are both so darling... Oops, I've rambled on, haven't I? Well, let's see when I can start working on the next chapter, OK? -eyes new document and hides from Kain who is still waiting patiently for In Silence- Cheers!

17 Sep - Well, here is HMN Ch12 at last. -heaves a huge sigh of relief- I'm like a grouchy bear when people try to talk to me when I'm trying to write my chapter in the very little free time that I have left! Had an exhausting week since my staff resigned and I had to do a physical stock check count last week with hubby alone. Also spent the better part of this week just trying to catch up with the other things that I had to put aside, with the result that I have a stiff neck and an almost permanent frown between my eyebrows now -sighs- But at least the chapter's done now! Cheers.

7 Aug - Gosh, I feel like I've not updated In Silence for so long! -snatches a moment from real life- Here is the next chapter and I'm sorry if it doesn't flow so well. Muses are a bit cranky when they are lassoed into doing work after hiding for so long -smiles- In any case, hang in there 'coz things will start to happen. I'm planning to get In Silence done in 20 chapters so 9 more to go! Cheers...

14 Mar - I'm so sleepy I can't think what to write! Had to steal minutes here and there but managed to get HMN Ch3 legible enough to post. I'll try to alternate between this and In Silence if that doesn't confuse me -wry smile- so hang in there. As for how I'm doing, I have darker circles under my eyes and don't really know what's going on in the rest of the world but other than that and the growing pile of stories and chapters to be reviewed -bows apologetically to their writers- I'm good. Life has been really (really, really, really...) busy this past one month with my new job and one day just slides into another without me quite realising it... or catching up either. 28 Aug - Another update at long last! -feels like she hasn't updated in forever- Actually, I've been feeling kinda demotivated to write these past few weeks. I do get a lot of alerts and favourites but not even half as many reviews and frankly, it's starting to hurt. Is it really that difficult or troublesome to type a couple of lines to keep an author happy? It's fine not to review if you seriously didn't enjoy the chapters I write but an alert shows that you're interested in reading more so why not motivate me by sending me a review? And to other authors too if you've alerted them or their fics... Ugh, I'm sorry to ramble on like this but I can't help it anymore. In any case, I do still cherish my faithful readers who always send me their thoughts. It's because of them that I'm still resolved to finish my stories and my heartfelt thanks and cheers to those wonderful, wonderful people!

27Jan - I don't have time to write anything new this week so guess it's a good time as any to post the AU chapters/scenes I'd written while following Vani's fantabulous Blood Moon story. These were written before the actual chapters came out so of course they are wildly AU to the actual scenes themselves but... well, hope you enjoy them anyway. Blood Moon is one of my top favourite stories here on FFN. I'm a real sucker for stories where the two boys fall in love and find happiness after suffering for so long. Well, the excellent plot, smooth flow of the story, wonderfully original ideas, well thought out action scenes, gorgeous lemons and the totally gripping way Vani took our emotions for a ride in each chapter didn't hurt either! -grins- Cheers.

20Jan - Phew, what a mad rush... had a horrible moment earlier when I thought my husband's notebook had crashed on me! Thank goodness that wasn't the case so What Could Almost Be Chapter 9 is now posted, yay! I'm not sure if I can get out a chapter of any fic next week since it's Chinese New Year next Monday and I'll be busy taking care of my daughter and visiting relatives and all... so I'll probably be horribly behind in my reviewing and beta'ing of chapters next week! 30Dec - Finally, an update for Hold Me! Wow, I can't believe that it's already been a year since I started Hold Me! -relieved that she managed to escape from Kaname and Zero for a while but thinks she's been had since the chapter is mostly about them anyway... in a non-yaoi sense, of course- I think this is the only chapter I can get done this week since I'll be busy on Thursday and Friday (getting my daughter ready for school), then of course weekends are out for me. But I'll definitely continue my other fics next week. Happy New Year to everyone and hope the new year brings good cheer!

Needless to say, it's a yaoi fic, and I plan to complete it in ten chapters. At least I know from the start that it isn't a one shot! -grins- Hope those of you who enjoy yaoi will like this story and hope it won't disappoint those who have been expecting it. Cheers.

30May - Uploaded new chapter of Hold Me. I know - some of you are probably thinking 'Finally!'... reason being because I've been distracted by my new hero, Hanabusa Aido :)

The new Hold Me chapter is a 3-parter and Part 3 will be a little limey... but no lemon. LOL, I'll tell you guys before hitting you with a lemon, OK? :) So Parts 2 & 3 will be out by end of next week and I'll see if I can squeeze in the fifth chapter of No Matter What. Gosh, then there's another Crimson Door missing scene waiting to be written, and then there's also... also... well, you get the picture :) Anyhow, cheers!

In case any of you are wondering about the timelines in Hold Me & No Matter What - Zero & Yuuki's trip to the bank takes place on Saturday, one week before Aido's date with Yori (which happens the following Saturday). That's coz Aido only asked Yori out the following week after the four day break. In other words, this new Hold Me chapter took place between No Matter What Chap1 & Chap2 -nods to herself in slightly confused manner- Hope this explanation helps!

30Apr - I really do enjoy updating new chapters for all 3 fanfics but am trying to finish Hold Me first. So the other two will have to take a backseat for now, or at least until I finish the next multi part chapter for Hold Me - will try my best to upload Part 1 by this Friday. And, dunno if this is a good idea or not - starting a new fanfic when the others aren't finished - but I suddenly have a craving to write a fanfic for AidoxYori as well! -smile- Whatever next...!

25Apr - OK, just uploaded Assumptions, which I think is so far the silliest chapter in Hold Me!

Do you know, most of the Water Play chapter was actually written quite some time ago, so I was actually suffering from writer’s block since last week. Assumptions came out yesterday evening when I started to type (as opposed to doodle) idly… LOL, guess the brown & silver bunnies bit me after all, B.Wing... thanks for sending them!

So - Assumptions is just to tide you guys over to next week, hope it's not too silly! -straightens up- But the good news is that I now have an idea for the next chapter which again will be a multi-parter but not as angsty (or lemony :)) as Going Too Far was. The not so good news is that I won’t have time to start it until next Monday because – believe it or not – I have more free time on weekdays than I do on weekends! So I probably will be able to upload Part 1 of the next chapter towards the end of next week.

And for my anonymous reviewers whom I can’t thank personally, please accept my thanks here. I love hearing from you and I feel honoured that people are actually awaiting new chapters from me! Cheers! -twirls around happily but stops when room starts spinning-

3Apr - Thank you all so much for your reviews! Yes, Zero has indeed suffered a lot (Yuuki too, actually) so that's why I'm uploading Part 5 sooner than expected. Hope you enjoy it! Warning for going overboard with the sugar again...

And for those who are still wondering... no, there won't be a lemon in the near future as far as I can see, since our gentle princess still hasn't opened her eyes. And just like how the dance provided the setting for their first kiss, the party and the argument made the almost-lemon in Part 3 somewhat necessary, if only to set the scene for Part 5... you'll know what I mean when you read it.

Oh, and there will be a Part 6, just to tie up a couple of loose ends, Part 5 being already too long... Cheers.

27Mar - Wow, I actually remembered to update my profile when I upload a chapter - momentous occasion, this! -pats own head in somewhat pleased fashion- It's more angsty than Part 1 and Parts 3 & 4 will be even angstier! -makes note to tweak recipe to reduce angst for future chapters-

25Mar - Well, finally given up struggle on Part 1 of now 4-parter and uploaded it anyway last night (forgot to update my profile as usual, LOL!). I am so relieved not to see a negative review this morning - phew! -wipes sweat off brow-

I actually wrote 2 completely different versions of Part 1 but decided to go with this one 'coz it's more Zero-angsty and I need him to be that way -tries for innocent look- You'll know why in the upcoming parts... -winks- Will try my best to upload Part 2 by this Friday... Oh, and don't worry, I'm saving the other version for a later chapter since I quite like that too! Cheers...

19Mar - I'm actually still struggling a bit with Part 1 of the 3-parter I mentioned. To make me feel better, I wrote a short one for you guys to read while I struggle on with that, hope you enjoy it and that it's not getting too repetitive! -uploads then goes back to sigh at stubborn Part 1 of aforementioned chapter-

13Mar - Well, this is a chapter of Hold Me that I wrote a couple of months back but can only upload it now, after things have progressed somewhat. I was actually in two minds whether I should actually just delete it... -imagines hearing collective gasps of dismay- Yeah, right, LOL! But I won't because that's a waste of one whole entire chapter! mutters 'waste not, want not' to herself-

So, here it is... but I do have a longer one (3-parter) coming up, hopefully next week. As usual, it's written in classic Yen-style - that is, Parts 2 & 3 coming before Part 1, which I'm now struggling with... -mournful sigh- Anyhow, enjoy this chapter in the meantime... 11Mar - There are literally thousands of Inuyasha fics already up... that I'm almost afraid to post the next chapter of Why I Love You (my Inuyasha fic). After all, with so many wonderful stories on Inuyasha's ears, eyes, hands and other er, body parts as well as Sesshoumaru's that I'm not sure if this has already been covered. But -inhales deeply & throws shoulders back- I must be brave! Like Lord Sesshoumaru! So I will upload it. Yes. I will. -uploads said chapter then runs and hides anyway-

10Mar - OK, next chapter of Hold Me is up...it is related to Falling but can still stand on its own, I think... This chapter didn't even exist before last week and here I am uploading it instead of the other almost ready chapters, LOL! -hides from said chapters now glaring at me- but their turn will come, don't worry... -gives appeasing smile- Anyway, hope you like this one.

Oh, and I don't write much on Kaname Kuran, although I'm careful to pay him the proper respect when I do... it's mostly because I'm a little scared of him... really... but I've seriously fallen in love with Blackened Wing's version of him in her absolutely fantabulous fics! If you've read her work, you'd know this already. And if you haven't, please do - I think they're worth every second of your time... and they read just as good after the 20th / 50th / 100th time - honest! -blinks bloodshot eyes in testament- OK, that's it for now, cheers!

6Mar - Argh, I always forget to update my profile when a new chapter it up -slaps own forehead- But better late than never, eh? Glad you all liked Parts 1, 2 & 3 of Falling... quite a few 'situations' -smile- And now I'm feeling a little... unsure... as to how Hold Me should proceed... I do have some half done chapters, just need to decide on the order of which ones should come when and tweak them mercilessly. Hope to have one out next week - wow, I've somehow managed to put out an update every week, I think - cool! 29Feb - OK, next chapter of Hold Me is up. Be warned, it's a 3 parter and I'm still a little unsure of how Part 3 is going to end, which is rare for me -frowns a little- 'coz I normally know how each chapter ends by the time I uploaded the first part. Although I must say that -cough- Part 5 for the dance chapter was truly unexpected -sheepish grin- Well, hope I've done my favourite couple justice anyway... Oh yeah, and your reviews are absolutely fantabulous, thank you all so much!

28Feb - Next chapter of Inuyasha fanfic is up. I find that my writing style is somewhat different between the two fanfics, but not sure if it was accidentally or deliberately done. Oh well! Hope you like it anyway -still giddy with reviews received so far-

25Feb - As promised, the updated Ch9 is now up. I've reworked parts of it so it's now a 2 parter and both are uploaded. Hope you find it much better than before.

24Feb - Just saw all the ecstacy-inducing reviews on Ch9 Yuuki's Nightmare -sniffle-, they are most appreciated! -starts bawling- But... I've removed Ch9 all the same coz I'm modifying it - I think parts of it were rather rushed and not really... up to standard. But I will upload the modified Ch9 by end of tomorrow (Monday). Sorry for any inconvenience and hope you continue to follow this story!

They're more fluffy than angsty or serious because I don't wanna get in over my head on demons & spirits till I read more about the series, LOL! No, I did not get any roses/chocolates/gift from hubby except a 'normal' dinner but hey, I'm not complaining -whispers 'too much anyway'- coz I received virtual roses over email, chocs from male colleague and ESPECIALLY your wonderful & fantastic reviews - squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal! so that's why I updated Part 2 of Ch7 even though it was a standalone in the first place - my Valentine's Day gift to you all. But we all know that's d main purpose of this chapter anyhow. Your reviews r amazing, i thot i was d only one picturing Z&Y wrapped up in each other's arms swaying slightly to a slow love song... Since I will be away for Chinese New Year holidays from 6-10 Feb, better try to complete remaining parts of this chapter before then, huh? Will try my best anyhow! -Hugs all-

24Jan - Will there be any lemon in my chapters? Well... sorry to say the answer is (most likely) no, reasons below...
- Just don't know how to write one! - truly, I rather cringe at d thought & think I will have goose bumps for a few days if I tried...
- Also, it would be the end, coz I don't know how to write one & still continue the story... guess if I decide not to write anymore then may finish off with a lemon, LOL...
- I guess my Asian & very conservative upbringing also plays a part on my fanfic... and even tho' I'm now a wife & mummy, I still feel protective of my 'charges' if u will -giggles at d thot since I also hv a crush on Z, who doesn't?- ... so dun really fancy d idea of them rushing into u-know-what... prefer them to take things slowly, one step at a time... :) but that's just my opinion, of course... :)

Not that I don't enjoy reading about lemons esp. if they're well written, there r some really good ones right in this site & I've plowed through my share of steamy & torrid novels... just want to keep things sweet n light for Z&Y

But I hope you all still continue to enjoy my stories nonetheless, coz it's really fun writing them and your kind and appreciative reviews just keep me going & going! Lots of thanks -big hug-

21Jan - Thanks so much for all d lovely reviews snif Much appreciated! As promised, used a big chunk of my hols to complete Ch5 Part 3 and oops, got so carried away that it has now morphed into a 4 parter! It's up now and also corrected a couple of typos in Part 2. Will upload Part 4 by this week, still tweaking it a little. Also halfway writing d next Chapter which will also be a 2 or 3 parter - am I getting long-winded or what!
