Author has written 15 stories for Young Riders, Smoke Trilogy, and Finder Series.

Yep, it's still me. The fic writer known as The Stationmistress (when I was writing TYR fics) and Kate Red (when I was focusing on the "Smoke" book trilogy). These days, however, I'm producing more fics under the name Paunakan Jen. To make life easier for me and also to be consistent, I've changed my pen name on FF.net to Paunakan Jen.

Anyway, I've gotten back into writing fan fiction after several years of hiatus. The "The Young Riders" stories I've posted originally appeared in the "Riders Coming! A The Young Riders Web site," although they have been re-edited and tweaked a bit. For example, "When Shadows Fade" features new dialogue and scenes. I'm still hoping to finish updating "When Morning Comes," the sequel to "Shadows."

The new ones aren't TYR-related. Got sucked, pun intended, into the world Tony Foster, Vicky Nelson and Henry Fitzroy and Mike Cellucci inhabit. That means the Blood books, as well as the Smoke trilogy. I'm more fascinated with the dynamic between Tony and Henry, so expect stories about those two.

While doing some "research" — truth? I was trying to figure out how to write a sex scene between two men — for a "Smoke" story (betwen Henry and Tony) , I stumbled upon yaoi manga. The first one I read (through scanlations) was Zetsuai, which was way over the top for me in terms of the angst. Next was Haru Wo Daeteita (Embracing Love), and the romance between two adult film stars had me hooked by the end of the first volume. It deftly mixes angst and humor. My favorite manga is Yamane Ayano's "Target in the Finder," also known as "Viewfinder" or just "Finder." This manga, which is a bit more hardcore and definitely not for the faint of heart, centers on an underworld crime boss (Asami Ryuichi) and a persistent young photographer (Takaba Akihito).
