Hi there!

I'm currently 23 years old and residing on the beautiful central coast of California. I work full-time and write in any spare moment that I get. Like most people on this site, I'm an aspiring novelist and short story writer. I've been working on my first novel for several years now and hope to have it finished by the end of the year. I wrote my first fanfiction when I was eleven years old, stopped writing fanfics when I was about sixteen, and have recently picked up the fanfic pen again. It's a great change of pace to turn to when you're stumped on original works.

My writing style is more character development based than action based - which is something that I'm hoping to get worked out of my system. As much as I love prose, one can only read so many internal dialogues before the plot needs to be forwarded. My main goal in developing my writing style is to learn to blend prose with action to have a much more well rounded story. Fanfiction is a wonderful exercise for this goal because the characters have already been developed and while they can continue to grow and change with the story, we don't have to spend as much time fleshing out the details of their personalities, which leaves more room for conversations and actions.

So, why Tenchi Muyo? Simply put, it's a wonderful show with complex characters and an infinite amount of scenarios they can be placed in. Tons of humor and angst, action and contemplation. I love Ryoko because she's a floating dichotomy who follows her heart more than reason. Exploring the potential causes of her angst and the consequences of her actions has afforded me much entertainment.
