CHRIST. I've been gone a while. -dusts profile lovingly-

New Ouran fic up as of yesterday. Called 'My Secret Valentine' - I quite like the ideas I have for it. Give me time with updates, I am STEAMROLLERED with homework/coursework at the moment, so Updates will be slow at times.

As for 'My Killer Ex Girlfriend', consider it a chapoter away from completion, and I have a few ideas for it but nothing solid. So that'll take awhile.

Next Generation - don't hold your breath. It's a fond thought but I might abandon it.

I also have idea's for a Pheonix Wright fanfic, but again, fond but distant.

MilesXNick oneshot. Quite angsty. I NEED TO FIGURE OUT AN ENDING D: I tried a fire but it didn't work and someone died and I didn't like it. SO. Try again. I haven't a clue when I'll post it.

You see, boys and girls, when she clicks ‘Hikaru H’ for the first character, ‘Kaoru H’ for the second, ‘All Ratings’ because she thinks the real angst with them can sometimes be awesome, and ‘complete’ because, well shucks, she really hates being led on, she is presented with four types of story.

The first, and possibly most prominent, is the ‘kaoru loves hikaru but thinks hikaru loves haruhi what happens next’ OR ‘hikaru tries to ignore his love for kaoru cuz its wrong but you can’t hide true love’. Quite honestly, she had given up deciphering them, and they were constantly identical anyway, so she didn’t bother opening them.

The second, her estimated second most frequent, was the lemon, which would be so very popular because Hikaru was seme, and Kaoru would put great emphasis the last syllable of his brother’s name. And because it usually involved Hikaru totally eating Kaoru’s neck (which I admit, I enjoy guiltily). If she was honest, she loved them with a secret burning passion. If only they varied more... I can think of many people who’d love to see a dominant Kaoru. It’s be hot, let’s admit it girls.

The third – the HikaKao in relationship but Kyoya totally WANTS KAORU’S BODY. If she’s honest, Kyoya wants Tamaki to take him mid host club to rebel against his father – or at least the Kyoya from my dreams does – and that’s that. There is no proof Kyoya likes Kaoru except a five second conversation about how Hikaru is a dummy – and that was hardly making out in the closet, so let’s be real guys. Unless there was something in the Manga she didn’t see, but yeah. (Actually, I shouldn’t say that. Hypocritical. In my story Kyoya likes Kaoru but he’s GOOD ABOUT IT. He’s all like ‘Kaoru. I love you, but it’s obvious you should be with her, GO TELL HER YOU LOVE HER YOU... TWIN... YOU!’ :3 Well, he doesn’t say that as such. It’s implied. A later chapter, you all got spoilers you lucky things.)

The fourth (and an easy favourite) is the actual decent stories which there is a great lacking of. Like, ‘That Kiss Was’ and that one I can’t remember the name of but I stayed up all night reading and cried like a baby when Kaoru trudged his way through the snow but then went to hospital and they kissed and -fluffcryscreamdeathfangirlAHHdreamsDOcometrue/heart-

UM... yeah.

Character Song Interpretations.

Rose – Love Again, Alesha Dixon

This one, I feel, is rather obvious, so I won’t dwell. Basically, she has been put in a position before where she loved and was hurt so badly she swore never to love again. This is her asking Hikaru to help her by being trustworthy enough for her to love him, therefore loving someone again, therefore stepping closer to healing from the past. It’s very clear the person that hurt her was Alexander.

Becca – Minority, Green Day

Well, Becca is a bit rebellious, right? She has no real love yet, just a little crush on Kaoru she’s exaggerating greatly. Her song describes her complete disapproval at the ‘system/machine’ and her fight to rebel against the majority of chav/girly(she ignores the fact Rose is highly girly, because Rose is her best friend and is deemed acceptable) teenager females in the world. Simple enough.

Tamaki - Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, Queen

Well, really, it’s another obvious one. But you might miss the Haruhi implications. He has gone from obsessing over his clients, to a single girl reference. He also shows his idealistic ‘traditional’ boyfriend, dinner and dancing date sort of thing, showing his very old fashioned approach to girls, however effective.

Hikaru – Electric High

Ahh, a lovely rock love anthem. About time. This will have QUOTES. This will be IN DEPTH. Ahem. Let’s begin with an extract from the first verse, shall we?

“I’m a little fall from heaven, but I survived”

He over exaggerated what life would be like without Kaoru next to him for every second. He’s still struggling to cope with being more mature about it, but he is getting through it thanks to Rose.

The chorus is trickier than you would imagine.

“Take me higher take me high,
I want to feel your essence come to life (possibly incorrect lyrics)
Electric high, Electric high
I just want to feel
I just want to feel you come to life”

Assuming I heard it right (if I’m honest, it sounded like ‘I want to feel your ass come to life, but Elliot minor is too classy for that), the ideas behind it are that since she lost Lilly, Rose has been withdrawn, and Hikaru wants to see that change, and see her really ‘come to life’.

The ideas of the connection between them being electric links to how quickly they were drawn to each other, friendship at first, and then into love, they never really had a choice in the connection between them, and nothing could have stopped the ‘love at first sight’ thing that happened – linking with Romeo and Juliet, a theme that runs with these two, you’ll know if you’ve read what is up so far.

I’ve done a lot on this one so I won’t go any further, but this shows Hikaru’s steady maturing, catching up with Kaoru – meaning...

Kaoru – Scream, Zac Effron

A mix of emotions. He is used to being depended on, and that’s been taken away very quickly. Because of this, he is trapped in his own head but doesn’t let his sadness effect Hikaru’s happiness, even if he wants to scream it all out.

He also feels pressured by Kyoya’s confession at Christmas, when he has no romantic feelings, bar a small, unsure, but beginning to develop crush on Becca that he hasn’t noticed yet (he will soon, haha).

Kyoya – Time of your life, Green Day

While he doesn’t like it, he knows Kaoru doesn’t return his feelings, therefore he wants him to be happy, and does this by inadvertently changing the situations around to best suit Rose and Hikaru, thinking that when Hikaru is happy, so is Kaoru, and is right. It shows his will for Kaoru to enjoy every moment he spends with Becca like a still frame, so nothing will change around and it will just stay happy for them both, as he is the only one to realise Kaoru and Becca have feelings for one another. Becca is more attuned to this feeling though. Kaoru is clueless until Kyoya’s confession.

Haruhi – Miss Independent, Kelly Clarkson

Err, just her feeling a little confused about how she started falling for Tamaki when she was supposed to be a free, strong woman who was following her mother’s footsteps. It’s a wee bit ironic, that she takes after her mother, and Tamaki and Ranka both have similar qualities.

Am I reading too much into it?

Alexander – Give and Take, forever the sickest kids.

This is easily the most confusing and hardest to interpret. This describes his slow decent to madness, as he becomes more twisted and confused about the truth, and this insanity makes him decide the thing that makes him come to Japan (trying not to give too many spoilers, haha), and how in his twisted state, he believes Rose was his best friend and was stolen from him. Therefore, he will resort to any means possible to restore this nonexistent friendship in hopes it will also restore Rose’s father’s faith as an heir, which is the only thing he really wants. In his belief that Rose was his best friend, he begins to fall for her, but because his mind is so twisted, he becomes like that of a stalker, obsessive and cruel.

Lilly – Footprints in the sand, Leona Lewis

It will make more sense when she arrives in the story properly. She is sorry being selfish about her scholarship instead of caring for Rose, and wants to change the past by being there for her. However, at the moment, all it can be is a promise she will be there at heart because the distance is too much, and one day, they will be reunited, and she will stop all the heartache somehow, no matter what it takes, they’ll be together, etcetera, etcetera.
