Author has written 4 stories for American Dragon: Jake Long, 9, and Avatar: Last Airbender.

My DeviantArt Accounts: http://menollysagittaria.deviantart.com/ Right now I'm simply up to my eyeballs in ideas for Avatar: the Last Airbender. I draw lots of Pokemon, too! :3 I also really like it when people come to look at my stuff other than my fanart. http://brunettemenolly.deviantart.com The second account is for photography.

Disclaimer: I WILL correct your grammar and punctuation. Story writers beware.

I heard about this site from a friend, and I'm amazed! This is better in some ways than reading books- here you can talk to the authors directly and get into the story writer's head! I love writing (and receiving) plenty of detailed reviews, and getting answers back!

I've decided to compile a list of my favorite "Favorite" A:TLA stories, since I have so darn many. I am OBSESSED with A:TLA. Some stories in my archive I have favorited to keep track of because I haven't gotten around to reading all of them yet. These are roughly in order of my least to most liked, but they are also organized by characters, sort of. So enjoy the creme de la creme!

The Iron Triangle of Avatar: Toph, Iroh, and Zuko.

Toph. My favorite character.

Blind by GunboatDebater: Oneshot. Toph's deepest, greatest fear. And it doesn't involve an enemy. Its source is a friend.

brave soldier girl comes marching home by Serendipity1: Oneshot. Simply beautiful. :) Toph's reunion with her parents.

The Full Metal Bitch by Lavanya Six: AU age-up. What would happen if Toph Bei Fong had been 22, not 12, when the Gaang met her in "The Blind Bandit"? A perfect mix of humor and tear-inducing reality, that's what.

See Behind the Mask by Tomas the Betrayer: EPIC, EPIC, EPIC. Toph and Iroh go to face off against an old enemy. TOPH AND IROH TAG TEAM. 'nuff said.

Perceiver by helium lost: A collection of oneshots about how Toph sees the world.

Worst Field Trip Ever by D3stiny-Sm4sher: Post-war. Toph's feeling like a 5th wheel with Sukka and Kataang. After a devastating revelation, she's left with two choices: be selfish and stubborn like she always has, or accept her losses and embrace the family she has found.

Toko, my favorite pairing. Really, if none of these stories can turn you on to it . . . at least a little bit . . . then you have no soul. There are few really good (or long) Toko fics. T_T

Land of Fire and Stone by Arcole: Zuko greets the new Earth Kingdom ambassador, his old friend Toph, who has grown up in ways he didn't expect. But will they survive long enough to know if they are meant to be together? Shameless fluff with adventure, plus a look at the difficulty of relocating century-old colonies. Also has Kataang! :D And a sequel, Voice of the Earth *waggles eyebrows* I love these to no end.

Like the Sun by rlucain: Five years after the war, Azula is plotting her revenge. A new Gaang forms, with Zuko and Toph at the center. Read if you like OCs. :)

Journey by TezTra: AU. Avatar Zuko was banished from the Fire Nation and now lives in hiding, just wanting to stay low in the shadows. Dai Li Agent Toph was assigned to find the Avatar before the Fire Nation Princess, Azula, does. All is chaotic, but it is just the beginning...

Just the Girl by Hotspur: Zuko finds help from a very unlikely source. Who knew a blind earthbender, a banished Prince and a retired general could take on the world?

A Great Team by Kerriss-Singer-of-Light:If you like fluff, this is for you.

The Path Ahead by Liselle129: Aang and the others have some decisions to make after the eclipse. Now a rewrite of the second half of the third season. Mostly Kataang, but I wanted to list it under Toko as well. (Not a romantic ship until they're older.) Closely follows canon.

Zuko and Iroh.

Reluctant Hero by P.A.W.07: Zuko discovers that he is the Avatar. Much tremendously well-written Irko bonding ensues. (Surprisingly, there are a number of "Zuko as the Avatar" fics. But these two really stood out.)

Promises to Keep by Kimberly T. Normally I don't like the pairing between Zuko and Katara, and this is the single Zutarian piece that has made it to this list. Though I try to be objective in evaluating the merit of fanfics, I recognize that I have a bias. That should really say something about the quality of the fic, as it overwhelmingly overcame it.

The Dragon in Winter by Murcushio: Oneshot. This never ceases to make me feel like bawling my eyes out . . .

Memories from Western Air Temple by DarthAnimus: Zukaang. The amazing thing about openly caring about the people around you, is that you learn to care about yourself as well.

Flight of the Phoenix by A Midnight Dreary: What if Zuko had been caught by Zhao in The Blue Spirit? Aang/Zuko friendship.

Islands of Ice by momothelemur: Oneshot. Hilarious! Where first-season Zuko captures Katara, but NOT a Zutara fic.

Want to know more about Azula? And/or what happens to her after the war? These stories are for you.

In the Madhouse by Ciceronis: Azula finds herself locked away in a mental asylum. There she is forced to confront her past...while matching wits with a sadistic doctor.

Broken Dragon by nikipinz: There's no 'short summary' that can do justice to the amount of painstaking detail, blood, sweat, and tears that went into writing this politically and emotionally-savvy TyZula fic. I know there is an inordinate amount of "Ty Lee helps postwar Azula" stories, but I almost can't stand to read any other TyZula any more because this is simply the penultimate. It also has a sequel, Firelight.

Baptism by Zetjintsu: What if Ursa were as powerful a firebender as Ozai? Do you want to know more about her relationship with Azula? Want to see Azula and Katara really duke it out, instead of just ice and chains!?! AU to the Avatar finale. In a desperate battle with the Fire Princess, it turns out Katara may be the more ruthless of the two, to both their horror. Neither is left quite the same. Hints of Azutara.

Spinning Whispers by OmniSchreiber Post-war fic, canon. Aang, Zuko, and co. struggle on multiple fronts as their fragile peace is challenged by political dissenters and violent marauders. Azula becomes a wildcard fugitive amidst the chaos.

Consequences of Power by Matt Thermo: Azula escapes from her mental institution, with a strange accomplice. (*end of Ch. 17/Ch. 18: Combustion Man returns, and faces off against Toph.* Awesome.)

Morality Chain by Pureauthor: AU. Closely follows canon. What if Azula had had one person that she had truly believed she could trust and confide in? What if Zuko and Azula had genuinely loved each other? NOT ZUCEST. Siblingfic.

Lightning & Flame by funvince: Zuko wants to give Azula a second chance, but only after taking certain precautions. He's compassionate, not stupid. He wants to give her the chance that his uncle and Aang gave him. Whether she chooses to squander it is up to her. A little fluffy and funny at parts, the angst comes later.

Ty Lee- needs waaay more individual love. D-:>

Colors by Morte Lise: Oneshot. How does Ty Lee see people? In auras.

Lady on Fire by Loopy777: A long oneshot. Outrageously, uproariously funny Ty Lokka!! For whatever bizarre reason, Ty Lokka seems to have been regaled to the status of almost a crackship- and not a widely-addressed one, either. I will never accept or understand this!!!! :-/ It's quasi-canon!

Trust Yourself When All Men Doubt You MysteryTrek: Seven years ago, the desperate act of a mother to save her child came within a hairsbreadth of destroying the world. Now, five months after Sozin's Comet, Ty Lee and Mai go on a mission to help their friend Zuko find peace by finding his mother.

Kataang

See above, "The Path Ahead" especially, and "Land of Fire and Stone" series.

What You Missed by Liselle129: Continuation Kataang. Rated T for earthy details of pregnancy and suggestive allusions.

I honestly really like Kataang! But for some reason I have trouble coming across fics about them that grab me. D: I think it might be because they are already established, so to speak, and there's less to explore about them, unlike Toko and Ty Lokka. If anyone can suggest to me any good Kataang stories (especially ones that aren't purely and exclusively fluffy/romance- that have something else going on- whether world-wise or action-wise) please do not hesitate to do so!!!

Ursa/Hakoda

Guide Me Home by Qwi-Xux: This story turned me on to Ursa/Hakoda, where I used to be staunchly Ursa/Iroh, and of course, inspired me to create a whole new category of my favorites, just for it. ;) They meet "behind-the-scenes" of the show, without contradicting canon. How??? you might ask . . .

ABOUT ME :)

Well, you can't really fit me in a nutshell, not by a long shot, but I'll have to try and fit myself in this little bio.

As evidenced by my reading selection, I watch cartoons. I'm a little bit of a Disney nut (Treasure Planet or the Incredibles, anyone??) Yes, I like PG-rated. Doesn't mean I can't handle the mature stuff- just means I enjoy the PG stuff just as much.

A large chunk of me has to be animals. I'm an undergraduate, and I love any type of life science (though physical science is fun, too) but especially ecological biology. I didn't have a lot pets when I was young, but when I got a rabbit at around age 10 I discovered I loved observing them- I also got involved with Pokemon, made up animals (still trying to sever those ties, lolz) I watch Animal Planet regularly. It's funny, my family adopted a cat, and if you have ever had a cat, you know that one cat always leads to another (no, not in the breeding sense-get them neutered!). Stray cats and other people's cats alike have visited our house . . . There's so much drama I could write a soap opera based off of them too, with 10 characters. Anyway, the ultimate point of this paragraph is that I want to be a vet. So I'll be able to neuter your pets soon . . . *sigh* too many homeless animals, 27 million of them in fact . . . you can go to www.therescuesite.com to help too (seriously- go and click the "Click to Give" button- and watch what happens-it's amazing)

Moving along in the dissection, segment two is music. I like music, almost any kind you can think of, except rap and country. (Okay, so good lyrics can rescue those for me, too.) Someone once asked me why I don't buy a lot of music-I responded that I like making music better- I sing and play clarinet, saxophone (which aren't that different), piano, and a little bit of guitar. And similar to my taste in writing, I like music that has meaningful lyrics, i.e., I don't like listening to hackneyed stuff . . . of course instrumental music can have a lot more complexity than lyric music-so to me the lyric music has to make up the difference with its lyrics. (the other reason I like instrumental music is it lets you interpret the "lyrics," paint your own story into the music, if you will). I'm starting a Global Music class right now, which promises to be eye-opening.

Post Scriptum: For anyone wondering, my nom de plume is my Latin name. (Reading the Aeneid in Latin is amazing. Vergil puts to shame all except the very best English poets.)
