Author has written 2 stories for StarTrek: The Original Series.

About Me

General: I have been writing Star Trek fan fiction for ten years--in addition to Star Wars and others--but have never posted any of my Trek writing. Granted, for the longest time I wasn't even aware of fan fiction websites where I could post my fics. What can I say? I used to be a luddite. I've decided to bite the proverbial bullet and submit it, however, full well knowing of the existance of the flamer reviewers in the Trek section of this site. I've been lurking in the TOS section of this site and a few others as a reader off and on for two years now and have left a few anonymous reviews. I'm trying to go back now and leave signed reviews for stories I previously read and enjoyed, but this may take awhile. It requires a lot of searching, and I'm insanely busy at the present. Since I have written other fan ficition, I may eventually link this account with my other account.

Favorite Shows: Star Trek, obviously. I like all five series, but I'm partial to TOS and Voyager. I also like Stargate: SG1, Farscape, and Battlestar Galactia 2003.

Favorite Movies: Star Trek II, XI, and First Contact; Star Wars Episodes IV, V, and VI; and The Matrix

Favorite Novels: Don't get me started. Seriously. I love to read, and I've read over 125 Trek novels, most of them TOS. In addition, I've read countless other SF and fantasy novels, but my favorite author recently ticked me off. So, like I said, don't get me started.

Fanfics

Both of my stories include the Animated Series as canon.

"T'hy'la": A one-shot written several years ago for the Strange New Worlds contest and then abandoned because I didn't feel it was strong enough for a contest. Focuses on the Kirk-Spock friendship, obviously, and could probably be expanded into a much longer story at some point. If there is enough reader interest, I'll start brainstorming the larger plot.

"If There Be Saviors": Written in 1999, this story focuses on teenaged Spock and his run-in with a culture even less tolerant of hybrids than his own. I'm editing it for grammar, typos, and any places of confusion, but I mean to post it with little revision. I also freely admit that certain aspects of the story were collectively inspired by Star Wars, The Matrix, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which should come as no surprise given the time period it was written in.

Potential New Stories

I'm pondering writing a follow up story for "For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky." McCoy got so little attention romantically in the canon, and that was the first TOS episode I saw...it just has always drawn me as an episode. I'd also like to write a "missing scene" piece for "The Empath."

However, most of all I'd like to expand "T'hy'la" into a longer exploration of the early Kirk-Spock friendship. We'll see how my time goes; right now, I'm buried with work.
