-Main character is turned evil by another character (i.e. ichigo getting turned evil by his hallow, naruto getting turned evil by kyuubi/akatsuki)

-Different versions of events (i.e. inuyasha never getting stuck to a tree, itachi and kisame capturing naruto the first time they meet)
