Nationality: Polish. I was born and still live in Warsaw.

Favorite hobbies: Apart from reading fics and sleeping? ;) Well, I guess that'd be swimming, drinking and learning Japanese.

Favorite manga: Rurouni Kenshin, Peacemaker Kurogane, Angel Sanctuary, Vagabond, Blade of the Immortal. I'm all into beautiful artwork and samurai stuff.

Favorite anime: Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gankutsuou, Ouran High School Host Club, Darker Than Black, Samurai Champloo, Yami no Matsuei, Kaiketsu Zoro.

Books: Usually SF and fantasy (Orson Scott Card, anyone?), though my favorite one's still the great Catch 22 by Joseph Heller, along with some Ian McEwan's novels. I'm a devout follower of Stanisław Lem's incredible wit, too. No chick flicks, political thrillers or detective stories for me, please.

Movies: Das Boot (by Wolfgang Petersen), the greatest film of all times. ;) It's WWII from the German point of view, with wonderful music and a beautiful, twisted ending.

Games: I love RPGs, especially Japanese ones. Final Fantasy rules; FFVIII is my favorite game ever, except maybe for Valkyrie Profile, which I beat at least ten times during the past three years.

Fictional male characters I'm pathetically obsessed with: Squall Leonhart (I used to love him at seventeen, seriously), Sephiroth, Seymour Guado, Kuja, Balthier, Kenshin Himura (obsession bordering on insanity), Severus Snape, Edward Elric, Albel Nox, Gaignun Kukai Jr./Rubedo, Lezard Valeth, Bruce Wayne... and practically every single guy with an unpleasant past, either silver or red hair, wielding a katana and wearing a white shirt. Yeah, I have some sort of fetish when it comes to white shirts. And vests. And... oh, nevermind.

Lately, I'm utterly fascinated with the tragic character of the Count of Monte Cristo (Edmond Dantes) from the anime/manga Gankutsuou. I read Dumas' novel a few times as a young teen, but it took me over a decade to understand how awesome this story and its main character truly are.

Fictional female characters I love: Lenneth Valkyrie, Mystina, Elena (of the Turks), Rinoa Heartilly, Rikku, Tomoe Yukishiro, Citrine.

Most pairings are okay with me. Gen, het, slash, incest, fluff or lemon - it doesn't really matter as long as the fic keeps both characters IC. Of course, I find some couples more interesting than the rest. :) I'm crazy for Sephiroth/Aeris, Squall/Rinoa, Kuja/Beatrix, Balthier/Fran, Lenneth/every single VP character, females included, Albel/Nel, Kenshin/everyone, and it means even Shishio (...though I prefer Kenshin/Tomoe, thank you very much :P), Edward/Alphonse/Winry, Jr./Albedo/Gaignun. Phew, I could go on forever.

There are only a few pairings I absolutely detest, and the list of those starts with Roy/Ed. It's OOC, waaaay against canon and it contains a sick amount of pedophilia, no matter how you look at it. I may be a bit oversensitive on this subject, but the mere existence of Roy/Ed fics, especially poorly written ones, makes my blood boil. Same goes for all those cliched Aurikkus. And I'm not too fond of Jr./MOMO, either, because I view the little guy as an almost thirty-year-old man who could never love a twelve-year-old girl that way. Bite me. :)

Mary Sues usually make my day. I either laugh my head off, or (when a MS fic irritates me so much that it's no longer funny) run the guilty teenage authoress to the ground with a long, unpleasant review. Such a nice way to relieve stress. I never submit unsigned flames, though, for I strongly believe in the power of constructive criticism. It applies to my own works as well.

Last but not least, I happen to LOVE stories that revolve around difficult (or just plain sweet) parent-child and/or mentor-apprentice relationships. I squeal in delight every time I see a fic about Hiko-Kenshin, Woltar-Albel, Izumi/Hohenheim-Ed, Garland-Kuja, Laguna-Squall, Hojo-Sephiroth, Yuriev-his U.R.T.V.s, Dumbledore-Snape, etc, etc. I guess I just can't get enough of angst/fluff in my life.
