My name is Emily, I'm 21 and am in my last year studying Ancient History at university. It's good fun! I love various television shows, books and comics. I'm a romantic at heart so my stories are pretty much always based around a certain pairing. The pairings I love to read/write about are: Harry Pearce/Ruth Evershed (Spooks) Gene Hunt/Alex Drake (Ashes to Ashes) William Adama/Laura Roslin (Battlestar Galactica 2003) John Doggett/Monica Reyes (X-Files) Fox Mulder/Dana Scully (X-Files) Anna Smith/John Bates (Downton Abbey) Remus Lupin/Nymphadora Tonks (Harry Potter) Ron Weasley/Hermione Granger (Harry Potter) Carol Jordan/Tony Hill (Wire in the Blood) Gambit/Rogue (X-Men) I love reading classical literature, but read any genre really as long as it is interesting! Most of my time is spent in ancient literature thanks to my degree, so Aristophanes, Euripides, Aeschylus Herodotus, Suetonius etc. are always in my hand to be studying!! In my spare time I like to learn about the history of other countries. I am particularly interested in Iran and Russia (the latter especially under Stalin). I also like to go to the theatre, meet actors/actresses I like and sometimes just spend a lazy day in London searching for Spooks filming locations! It's all good fun! Music-wise, my two favourite artists are Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, but (as with reading) I like all sorts, from Prokofiev to Caro Emerald. I particularly like 1950's rockabilly and most music from the 80's! Comic and cartoon-wise, I'm a Marvel girl. In fact, I can narrow it down even more to purely X-Men! TV-wise, my favourite show is Spooks as it has high production value, superb acting, action, drama and the perfect (and most heartbreaking) relationship to watch; Harry and Ruth. Other tv shows I love are Battlestar Galactica, Ashes to Ashes, X-Files and Downton Abbey. All brilliant, I recommend them! if you want to PM me about anything at all, feel free; I don't bite!!
