I suppose I ought to say a few things about myself. Well, for starters, I enjoy reading and writing, obviously, or I wouldn't be here. I also possess an unhealthy obsession with anime and comic books, as well as a shameless love for cheezy sci-fi movies and badly translated kung-fu films.
My favorite movies? Far too many to mention, but I suppose if I were forced to choose, I'd have to say the original Star Wars saga, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein, History of the World: Part I, Spaceballs, and Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Iron Monkey, and, most recently, Stardust and Beowulf. Okay, so I'm indecisive.
My favorite TV shows? Again, too many to bore you all with a list, but to name a few: Heroes, Scrubs, Family Guy, South Park, the Law & Order franchise, Monk (the earlier episodes anyway), Psych, the immortal Simpsons, and various cartoons on Nick and Cartoon Network (I guess this is more than a few, huh?).
Favorite anime/manga? Cowboy Bebop, Vision of Escaflowne, and Bleach tie for the anime category, while Love Hina, Fullmetal Alchemist and Rurouni Kenshin bring home the gold in manga with InuYasha winning honorable mention. As for anime movies, hands down, the one that started my life-long obsession, master Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.
Favorite books? No contest. Anything by Steven King, J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, and, of course, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, even though I get fed up with it every once and a while. Bring on Tarmon'Gaiden!
Favorite comics? Spider-man, X-Men, Teen Titans, and Batman. 'Nuff said.
Video games? Final Fantasy VI, the greatest RPG ever! And Final Fantasy VII the other greatest RPG ever! The Metroid series, The Legend of Zelda series, The Super Mario franchises, and, of course, Kingdom Hearts II, despite its inclusion of mascots from an evil corporation. Not mentioning any names of course...damn you Michael Eisner.
People I admire most? My parents and kid brother (for your Academy Award consideration), but also Hayao Miyazaki, Steven King, Alan Moore (even though he's really, really weird), Rumiko Takahashi, Neil Gaiman, Robert Jordan (rest in peace), Jules Vern, Stan Lee, J.K. Rowling (despite her vicious killing spree at the end of the last book), and, of course, J.R.R. Tolkien.
Life's ambition? I always wanted to become a famous novelist...and conquer the world with an army of evil cyborg penguins! BWAHAHAHAHA(hack)(cough)(cough)(ahem)MUHOOHAHAHAHAHAHA! ...but, mostly the first thing though.
Works thus far in FanFiction:
Search for Shangweifeng: Aang and the other find startling evidence in the Western Air implicating that there may be surviving Air Nomads somewhere in the world. Throughout their search, Zuko instructs the Avatar in the art of firebending under the watchful eye of Katara as they dodge attacks from the relentless Azula. Meanwhile, Fire Lord Ozai prepares his armies for the arival of Sozin's Comet and the Fire Nation's final victory in the century-long war. With allies old and new, will Aang be ready to face the Fire Lord as summer rapidly draws to a close? Zutarra. (on temporary hiatus)
Cactus Juice Presents: A really stupid cactus juice bit honoring the various background characters of Avatar a la Bud Lite commercials. So far it's just the Crazy Foaming Mouth Guy, but I may throw in the Cabbage Merchant if people are interested enough.
Fallen Angel's Lament: Not one of my best works but I rather liked it. Basically my take on the Fall told from God and Lucifer's POV.
Love Infernal: The Armageddon has been cancelled...but if that's so why are strange things still happening in Lower Tadfield? Now Aziraphale and Crowley must not only dodge the forces of Heaven and Hell...but a love sick Antichrist?! Anathema x Newt Adam x Pepper
Well, that's it for now. Don't want to reveal too much about myself. The whole air of mystery adds to my mystique.
