As of April 24, 2007, I am now "Metal Harbinger" after over 5 years of being E-Z B. I decided it was time for a change, plus it might be easier to find me in searches now without having to use hyphens. I'd like to thank my good friend Cici for the inspiration.

My current scoop:

Well I'm still among the living after taking a little "sabbatical" from writing due to being stuck in the "real world," at the moment though my creative juices have not come back! As we speak though, I am still thinking up ideas for my fics.

Right now I have compiled a list of fics as my sort of "To Do" list, I say "sort of" because none of these ideas are set in stone.

1.) "Darkness Arises: Reborn" - My pet project that is my most well-known work here on FF.net. As I've sat back and received reviews for this fic, I've gotten a couple that have forced me to sit back and re-think how I am doing this fic. It's nothing personal and I'm not going to say any names or furthermore criticize those who made the comments, but being on this "sabbatical" has allowed me to sit back and reflect upon this piece and made me think of ways I might be able to improve upon what I've already created.

Several changes will be made, some big and some small, but nevertheless they will be aimed at making this fic even greater than it already is. I'm not going to say anything of what will happen so I don't spoil anything though, but because I've come along so far on the original I may finish that up before I get to work on this re-do.

If Capcom can remake Resident Evil 1 and make it twice as good as the original, then there's no reason I can't improve upon Darkness Arises!

2.) Sequels to Darkness Arises - I have a sequel for Darkness Arises in mind which at the moment I am calling "Return to Darkness: The Proteus Strain" and possibly a few side stories to explain what happens to the other survivors during while Jake is fighting for his life in Raccoon City. I also planned on doing a fic titled "Way of the Gunfighter" which would follow the exploits of Jakes great-great-great grandfather battling the legions of the undead in the Wild West, at the moment that fic's status is up in the air. Will include numerous outlaw gangs, savage Apaches, a ruthless landowner, a former Confederate general and his private militia and a mentally unstable member of the notorious Ashford clan.

- Additions to this idea include:

Downward Spiral: The Road to Raccoon City's Demise - A prequel to Darkness Arises told through the eyes of David McGraw, which may also take place during the events of DA and explain what David was doing while Jake was off fighting elsewhere in the city.

Springvale Outbreak - A determined detective with a grudge is called in to track down the elusive Jake Cavanaugh, only to find herself in nearby Springvale, which at the time is experiencing its own viral outbreak.

3.) Metal Gear Solid, fic untitled at the moment - An MGS fic where Liquid Ocelot is on his own trying to start a new nation called "New Heaven" and Solid Snake and his Philanthropy allies are called in to stop him and a new type of flying Metal Gear. This fic may end up ignoring the events of MGS4 seeing as though I do not have a PS3.

4.) The Phenomenal Phoenix - A Street Fighter fic following a professional wrestling superhero who moonlights as a real superhero and must team with some of the Street Fighters to battle a madman plotting world domination.

5.) The Chosen Ones - I am re-writing this fic because I took too much time off from working on this fic and as a result have experienced creative burnout. I will re-do the first four introductory chapters and add new things and subtract a few things maybe, but I will make it better than ever.

6.) Battle for the Godhammer - A Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat crossover fic where the forces of light and darkness come together to battle for an enchanted hammer said to endow the wielder with god-like powers.

7.) Biohazard: The Raccoon Syndrome - A Resident Evil fic where I re-imagine much of what happens in the RE universe and add my own special touches and what not, but I promise I will not entirely butcher the name of this excellent series!

8.) An untitled Metalocalypse/South Park crossover which I may called "DethPark" or "A Deth in the Park" - Dethklok is scheduled to perform a live show in the sleepy mountain town of South Park, only to encounter concerned parents, religious groups, an elite organization of pedophile adventurers and a certain group of 4 foul-mouthed 4th graders.

9.) Grand Theft Auto: Winner Takes All - A post GTA-3 fic where Claude Speed must assert his dominance in Liberty City by eliminating all of his remaining competition once and for all.

10.) Another Grand Theft Auto featuring an original cast set in Washington City (a play on Washington D.C.) which will probably take over for my discontinued "Gangs of San Andreas" fic. Will probably be called something along the lines of "The Motleys" or just "GTA: Washington City."

11.) The Sims: Deathmatch - Think "The Sims meets Celebrity Deathmatch." You've created your own families and dictated their every move, now see what happens when you take a bunch of Sims and throw them together for one large tournament of death and destruction! This is what happens when Sims gain minds of their own and start killing one another.

12.) A possible resurrection of "Slashfest: A Manhunt Sequel."

13.) Capcom Academy - This fic would be like my version of Rockstar's "Bully" featuring characters from Street Fighter and other Capcom games. This fic would draw heavy inspiration from iceangelmkx's "Street Fighter Teenz" and MiggyMeista's "Capcom U" fics.

14.) Paint It Red - A Half-Life fic. A tale told from two different perspectives, one of a Black Mesa researcher driven insane by the Nihilanth and on a mission to kill everything in sight, and the other of a young security guard who is fighting to rescue himself and anybody else who happens across his path.

15.) Untitled Silent Hill-Resident Evil crossover - A fic featuring David King of RE: Outbreak. Seeking an escape after the events of the Raccoon City outbreak, our favorite plumber goes on a vacation seeking some R&R, only to find himself smack dab in the middle of the nightmare resort town of Silent Hill and a conspiracy involving an even darker force.

Other ideas I have include:

- A King of Fighters tournament fic, or some kind of fighting tournament featuring mostly original characters own by myself and my friends on here.

- A fic that parodies and yet at the same time pays homage to classic side-scrolling beat 'em ups like Final Fight, Streets of Rage, River City Ransom, Double Dragon, Golden Axe and the highly overlooked ones like Violent Storm, Vendetta, Renegade, Metamorphic Force.

Like I've stated, none of these ideas are set in stone, that's exactly what they are at the moment...ideas.
