I still have the original DA up on this site, but while I've sat back in the past and reflected upon what I did and started thinking of ways I might be able to improve upon what I've already created, hence the re-write. In addition to "Darkness Arises," I've also got a few stories planned for the "DA universe arc," which include: "Return to Darkness: The Proteus Strain" - This would be my official sequel to DA-R, which would take place around the same time as "Code: Veronica" and be set in Germany, where Jake and his group must go after a rogue Umbrella scientist seeking to create a virus all his own, which if released into the outlaying areas of course means "the shit hits the fan." "Downward Spiral: The Road to Raccoon City's Demise" - A prequel, side story and "sort of sequel" to DA-R all rolled into one, which is told through the eyes of R.P.D. S.W.A.T. officer David McGraw, which would basically explain what he's doing while Jake is off elsewhere in the city. "Springvale Outbreak" - A side story told through the eyes of a determined detective named Angela Cataldo, who is on a mission to bring Jake Cavanaugh to justice. Her mission takes her to nearby Springvale, which at the time is experiencing its own viral outbreak. "Decisions, Decisions" - For now, that is a working title. This would be another side story to the events of DA-R, where I would try to explain what happens to the other survivors from J's Bar after they are separated from Jake. "Epilogues of the Damned" - A fic based entirely around epilogues of the major players from the "Darkness Arises" arc, some of them partially inspired by the epilogues seen at the end of "Nemesis." XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX In addition to "Darkness Arises: Reborn," I've also been working on a few other projects at the moment, which include: "The Phenomenal Phoenix" - At the moment, this is a Street Fighter fic following the exploits of a professional wrestling superhero who moonlights as an actual superhero and must team with some of the Street Fighters to battle a madman plotting world domination. I might also have him team up with Marvel Superheroes for future installments. "Street Fighter: The Chosen Ones" - A fic about 5 completely different people, all trained in various forms of martial arts, who are brought together "The World Warriors' Legacy" - This is just a random fic about Ryu and several other prominent Street Fighters as they battle the renewed threat of Shadaloo. "Grand Theft Auto: Capitol City" - My first serious attempt at a Grand Theft Auto fic that I actually can see myself going somewhere with and not experiencing severe creative burnout right away like I have with my other attempts. Everything else you see on my list has long since been discontinued due to creative burnout. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX And now this is my "Wish List/To Do List" (if it ever comes down to any of these) for fics I'd probably like to try in the future: 1.) A Marvel Fic - This is anything to do with Marvel, where I have numerous ideas floating around in my head such as: - My own original take on the "Age of Apocalypse" storyline. - A superhero crossover fic. - Some kind of "alternate universe" continuity. 2.) A Street Fighter tournament fic called "Guntai no Akuma" - "Guntai no Akuma" translates to "Army of the Devil" in English and this would be a fic featuring a massive list of characters all partaking in one huge tournament, which is really a ploy for Urien, now the head of the Illuminati, to gather new recruits in his plot for world domination. 3.) A re-imagination of Resident Evil - I've also been thinking about a possible fic where I would re-imagine some of the events of the Resident Evil continuity, don't know if this may ever see the light of day or not. 4.) A Metalocalypse fic - This would be a possible Metalocalypse/South Park crossover where Dethklok is scheduled to perform a live show in the sleepy mountain town of South Park, only to encounter concerned parents, religious groups, an elite organization of pedophile adventurers and a certain clique of 4 foul-mouthed 4th graders. 5.) Capcom Academy - This fic would be like my version of Rockstar's "Bully" game, featuring characters from Street Fighter and other Capcom games, all thrown together into one private school, where mayhem is bound to occur. This would draw heavy inspiration from iceangelmkx's discontinued "Street Fighter Teenz" and MiggyMeista's "Capcom U" fics. 6.) An SNK/Capcom crossover fic - For the longest time I've wanted to do a fic inspired by the Capcom vs. SNK franchise, but can never get any ideas going. Hopefully I can work something out in the future. 7.) A fic that parodies and yet at the same time, pays homage to classic side-scrolling beat 'em ups - This would be an excuse for me to be all nostalgic and relive all those classic 2-D side scrolling beat 'em ups that used to be present at arcades everywhere. I would pay tribute to classics like Final Fight, Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, River City Ransom, and lesser known titles like Violent Storm, Vendetta, Nekketsu Oyako a.k.a. Hot Blooded Family, Night Slashers, and even the ones that were inspired by comics like the ones of X-Men, The Punisher and "Maximum Carnage" starring Spiderman and Venom. XXXXXXXXXXXX That's pretty much all on my end until then!! | |||||||
