The Adventures of George: PERPETUAL HIATUS

Notes: I may pull it down, I haven't decided yet. The group is back together, but we aren't playing the same game anymore. But I may come back to this one eventually when I have nothing better to do.

You can be sure there will be many a bar brawl, cowboys, maybe an Indian or three, cattle rustlers, stage robbers, and a tin star. DISCLAIMER: No one will get tied to rail road tracks! I may like the "cliche" every now and again, but for a western... That's a bit over the top... However, there WILL be the gun fight at high noon...

About me:

Writing is something that I do. I have journal next to journal of stories that I have written. Most of them will never find the light of day. I finished some, never looked back at a few more, and there are still more that never got past the idea. I come from a family of artists. My grandmother painted and sculpted. My mother is an accomplished musician and costume designer (I never had a problem figuring out what I was going to be for Halloween and my barbies we the best dressed ever). I can’t paint well, clay is something that is fun to squish, I couldn't read music if I tried, sewing is fun if I don’t make more than a small bag, but writing? Writing comes to me as naturally as breathing.

Hobbies:

Writing, sewing, crafting in general (Just because I can’t paint well, doesn’t me I don’t try.) watching more cartoons than any adult should, reading more manga and comics than any adult should, going to conventions, going out with friends, gaming (yes I’m THAT kind of geek too.), going to the movies with friends, work, sitting at home and curling up with a good book and my cat.

Favorite Anime/Manga:

Naruto is my favorite right now. Others include, but are not limited too, Ranma ½, Inuyasha, Samurai Champloo, Coyboy Bebop, Trinity Blood, Blood + (So happy they finally made this series), Vampire Hunter D, Anything b Hayao Miyazaki, Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, Fullmetal Alchemist, and I am expanding every day.

Favorite Movies:

I think I will mention genera rather than individual movies. This is mostly because there are SO many movies that I love so much and will watch over and over again. Those genera are: Action, adventure, scifi, romantic comedy, some drama, and some horror. I will watch anything at least once. But I have been known to turn off the dvd half way through if I don’t like or find myself not interested.

Favorite Books:

See favorite moves! I read anything you put in front of me. I can actually do better with horror if it is in print. Favorite authors: JK Rowling, Jim Butcher, Anne McCaffrey, to name my top 3 at the moment. But like my favorite movies, there are SO many to list, and so many I can’t remember, I will keep it short.

NOTES:

This is not my first attempt at fan fiction. As I stated earlier, I have a mass of written notebooks with stories in them. Most of them of my own design, but there are others that are fan fiction. Ideas that I toyed with in that particular universe, or with the character from that series. There are several cartoon series that simply ended with out an answer to the question, "What happens next?" So I answered the question in the way I thought it should be answered. For the longest time, I have been reading a lot of fan fiction that is out there and asking myself if I wanted to jump into the activity of publishing what I was writing. I finally thought I should and could. If nothing else this activity will help my writing. Now, I never started reading a fan fiction with the idea "I can do better", however I am sure that even you, dear reader, have come across those fan fictions that would make anyone cringe. I am not setting out on this new writing exercise with the intention to please anyone but myself. I am my own worst critic.

RULES:

1.) I do my best to keep things in the spirit of the characters. I don't try to go against the nature of the character, unless there is an explanation of why the character is going against his/her nature.

2.) I don't do yaoi, yuri, yippy, skippy or what ever it is called. There are a few things in this world I would like to keep very far away from my imagination. Unless it is in the spirit of the character, see rule #1.

3.) I try as hard as I possibly can to keep it plausible with in the universe.

4.) I write for myself and no one else. I am my own worst critic. If I don't like it, you will never see it. However if you don't like it, be kind about it and tell me how you would have done it better. Constructive criticism is always welcome. Negative criticism will be ignored.

5.) I try and have fun.
