Poll: What relationship should I write into my series? Mind you, I don't think I'd start one until Fourth Year, but I can start setting it up now. Two caveats; 1: I cannot write smut, so any sexual activities will be rather vague. 2: I WILL NOT WRITE SLASH. Vote Now!

Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter.

Welcome to my profile! As of Friday, May 30th 2008 I have started on my very first Harry Potter fan fiction. As soon as I get some feedback from my...erm...I guess I'll call him my Alpha, I'll post the first chapter of my new story. Please make sure you read the Author Note in the first chapter, thanks.

Update July 9: Well, I'm about 1/3 of the way done with chapter seven of Beginning. My family is still visiting for another week at least, and I've finally found a job. Problem is between the job and the family, I haven't had time to do any writing at all except late at night when I'm half way asleep (and my brain doesn't connect with my fingers properly). Like I said in chapter six's author note, I seriously hope to have both seven and eight done by the end of July. Wish me luck.

Oh, and I need a vacation now.

Update June 14: I have recently come down with a case of writer's block. Chapter six of Harry Potter and the Beginning is refusing to be written. I'll keep working on it, and try to work through the writer's block, but I won't guarantee an update schedule. In other news, Beginning is looking to be eight chapters long, so we have three chapters left. Yay? Until next time folks.

Update June 9: I've got a title and the major plot for the sequel to my pre-Hogwarts story, now I just need to finish the five remaining chapters of HP and the Beginning before starting on Year 1. I'm having a little trouble with chapter 4 of HPatB, so it will be a week or so before the next chapter is out. Also, the formating I used to separate blocks of text were NOT uploaded with the chapters, so I will need to redo that at some point. I've noticed a few errors here and there that I will be fixing when I fix the formatting of the chapters.

I am in need of a beta!

On with a little bit about me.

I'm 20 years old and currently living in Colorado, US of bloody A. The price of gas is ridiculous, and my car is a piece of crap, but gets better gas mileage than most newer cars. (I don't think you really care, but I like to throw random bits of information out to people.) I think George Bush should have been taken out back and shot a LONG time ago, and I hardly ever pay attention to politics unless it makes an impact on my lifestyle. (For instance, if someone were to suddenly say that piercings, tatoos, smoking, or music - like video games - cause violence and are going to ban them, I might speak out.)

Anyway...on with the other crap that I feel like putting here.

By the way, if you can't tell from the below, I liked JKR's Harry Potter books up to Prisoner of Azkaban only. Anything after that was utter rubbish! (There are some plots that were great, of course, but not much else.) I especially disliked books 6 and 7 (I'm not even going to call them by their proper titles, because they are unworthy), because they seemed to be from a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SERIES. There were plots that were introduced at the end of book 6 and into book 7, that SHOULD have been at least hinted at WAY before then.

Harry Potter FanFiction Likes and Dislikes

Favorite...

Pairing: Harry/Tonks, Harry/Luna, Harry/Hermione (if really well written...), Harry/Blaise (female of course...), Harry/Susan (also only if really well written...I don't understand why some people think 'Puffs are pushovers...), Harry/OC (and again, only if really well written).

Story Types: Redos (also known as rewrites...where the author completely rewrites the JKR books.), Dark!Harry, Grey!Harry, Neutral!Harry (screw fighting for sheep who wont stand up for themselves!), Metamorphmagus!Harry, Time-travel (only if written well...S'TarKan did a really good one; "Harry Potter and the Nightmares of Futures Past" and RossWrock's "Harry Potter and the Power of Time" are just a few examples as I have read many), Unspeakable!Harry, Hitwizard!Harry, Curse breaker!Harry (this has got to be my number one favorite profession for Harry...), Harry in Azkaban, Prankster!Harry, Vampire!Harry (also hybrid vampire/warewolf...I haven't actually read a story where Harry is solely a warewolf), Sirius raises Harry, Remus raises Harry, Someone else (like McGonagall) raises Harry, Someone else is the BoyWhoLived but Harry is more powerful.

Friendships: Harry and the Twins; Harry, Sirius, and Remus (throw James in there if it is a time-travel story, and he doesn't know Harry is his son); Harry, Hermione, and Ron (the character Ron is in the same boat as Ginny...I honestly don't know what to think most of the time. Sometimes he's a great friend, but sometimes he needs bashed.); Harry and Dumbledore (and again, just like the character Ron...sometimes he could be a great mentor, but other times he's only good for getting bashed.); Harry and Charlie; Harry and Bill; There are so many others it's hard for me to list them all...

Repulsive...

Pairing: Harry/Ginny (wtf? Incest much? Or perhaps he needs a commanding mother-like woman for a relationship because he missed out on having a mother...? I don't honestly care, the only good stories with Ginny in them are where she dies, or gets bashed.), Harry/Most Slytherins (even though I like Dark!Harry stories, most of the characters that JKR "developed" and I use this term loosely... for Slytherin house are sluts, idiots, groupies, or are unknown like Blaise...I honestly don't recall if the character is male or female in JKR's books, because the character was so underdeveloped it was sad. The only way in my eyes to put him with a Slytherin would be to do a rewrite, and actually develop a character). Anything slash should be burned, and the authors introduced to a mental facility...I don't personally have anything wrong with homosexuality, but I'm straight, and don't enjoy reading stories with guys doing things to other guys that should be kept in the dark. Slash is so unnatural, it makes marrying and having children with your first cousin or sister look natural.

Story Types: Snape as a mentor to Harry (wtf is that shit...? He's hated Harry since he stepped foot in Hogwarts just because his father bullied him, and now he's a mentor? I was bullied in middle school and I would kill the bastards - well probably not...maim, destroy, humiliate? hell yes - sooner than let them be my mentors and the same is probably true for them...) Have I mentioned slash yet?

Saw this on SpikeyStar's profile, and it was absolutely true. Even though my passwords tend to have letters and numbers mixed together, I actually HAVE successfully done number one. That should show you how much I text...>.> I'm tempted to change the title to "You know you live in 2008 when..." because I've actually seen a microwave (actually, an entire kitchen setup...it was so high-tech, you could almost hold a conversation with it...) that you COULD put a password on (not quite sure if this is true, but it had an alphabetical and numerical keypad).

You know you live in 2007 when...

1.) You accidentally enter your password on a microwave.

2.) You haven't played solitare with real cards for years

3.) The reason for not staying in touch with your friends is they dont have a screenname or my space

4.) You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pushing the buttons on the TV

6.) Your boss doesn't even have the ability to do your job.

7.) As you read this list you keep nodding and smiling.

8.) As you read this list you think about sending it to all your friends.

9.) And you were too busy to notice number 5.

10.) You scrolled back up to see if there was a number 5.

11.) Now you are laughing at yourself stupidly.

12.) Put this in your profile if you fell for that, and you know you did.
