About me: I'm a unique person. I'm 16, I'm a band geek, and I like math. In school I'm suicidal as evidenced by my enrollment in the IB program (down with CAS forms!) and I take basically all AP classes (everything's coseated in my school). I have an interesting sense of humor and I'm a bit sarcastic at times. I'm in field band (I play baritone) and winterguard. Music is my life! And I want to be an engineer.

About "JK Mafia":So what is the origins of my pen name? Well I'll tell you. It does not have anything to do with the popular IM abbreviation jk or just kidding. No, the beginnings of said mafia lie in the hot days of band camp in the summer of 2004. Actually I don't really remember how the name came about. J and K are the first letters of mine and a field band friend's names. As for the mafia part, well we are talking about band here. It's basically a long-standing inside joke. It also has a legacy: the AK(N) Mafia, with a different friend. This was a team name for a masterminds practice. The "N" is for a boy who was only sort of a part of the team. So why did I choose the illustrious name for fanfiction?I have no idea.
About What I Read/Watch: Tamora Pierce and J.R.R Tolkien are my most favorite authors, Orson Scott Card following close behind. I actually have a shelf in my room that has a sign declaring it "The Most Venerated Shelf of Tamora Pierce and J.R.R. Tolkien." I love the Protector of the Small quartet, though I identify more readily with Aly in the Daughter of the Lioness books. Spooks, or Mi5 for us Americans, is my favorite TV show. And I like Adam. Maybe more than Tom. Probably not. LotR and PotC are my favorite movies. Other things I would write fanfiction for: Alex Rider, Artemis Fowl, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, the Bourne world (books or movies), and probably other random stuff. Oh, the marching band section in Misc (though I'm not sure how that qualifies as fan fiction...though I suppose band is a kind of story in and of itself...I always thought it would make a great movie: picture this a preview where there's the quiet beeping of Dr. Beat growing louder and louder while things like "It's coming for you" and "Run away" flash on the screen...if you're not in band you wouldn't understand).
About my Tamora Pierce obsession: I love Protector of the Small! Go Kel! She's my hero, or heroine I should say. I'm more like Aly in real life though. I like KelDom because he's just perfect for her. I love Neal; I was sold on him with the whole Daffodil thing in Page. I do not however likeKelNeal. Neal and Yuki are just too perfect and Neal is just too world-weary for Kel. BekaRostos is also most excellent and provides many entertaining opportunities. The Alanna and Daine series are good too, just not as amazing. I skimmed the Circle of Magic quartet in 7th grade and wasn't too impressed. But this doesn't really mean anything-that was an awkward time for me.
About my Lord of the Rings obsession: I love it, love it, love it! My first encounter with Tolkien was when I was 5 and my mom read LotR to my 9 year old brother. My parent's divorce at the time allowed my child-self to relate strongly with the themes of good vs. evil and the smallest person becoming the strongest. I still remember my mental pictures of the black riders (ironically almost identical to the movie scene with the hobbits hiding in the hollow) and of Frodo's return to the shire. My next encounter was in third grade where I proudly read the entire book by myself for the first time. Yes, I was a strange child. I loved the movies when I first saw them. They were my life, along with band, for many years. My most recent embodiment of my LotR crazed self was convincing my brother to buy all 3 of the complete recordings. Go Howard Shore (who has a cameo in RotK, btw).
MY STORIES:
"I Miss You" - a KelDom song fic to Avril Lavigne's "When You're Gone" It's very sad and depressing so if you want to be happy, don't read it. Seriously, half the time I feel like I need to write a sequel because I feel bad leaving Kel in that state :(
"The One Ring and Other Short Stories" - is a collection of random drabbles that pop into my head and won't leave me alone. They are totally random and not necessarily related to each other. And they all have different styles.
1-The One Ring: Dom's shopping for an engagement ring for Kel
2-Fan Toss:Kel and the Yamani ladies do a fan toss exibition-this is focused on performance and how Kel feels about performing
"Sir Nealan the Great, Knight of the Realm" - Neal's story of writing a book about Kel's life and escapades. This was originally an idea for a one shot based on a story my French teacher Mme. Stekl told my class. The chapter with "Is this your card" will be the one about the actual story. But I was like, why does Neal need a library card? Because he's doing research! For what? A book of course! So then I wrote this.
"Close Protection, of a Sort" - An AR fic! It's the SAS training
My Universal Disclaimer (since I always forget): In keeping with the fact that this is Fanfiction on Fanfiction.com, a good part of my stories is not mine. Currently, credit goes to Tamora Pierce and Anthony Horowitz (and whoever owns Spooks). In addition, if something in my work seems like it has been quoted from another source, it probably has been and credit goes to them. Sometimes I don't realise it, but when I do, I'll try to cite :)
