It took me a hella long time to figure it out myself but I now know how, so here is how you can get your stories out there to share with everyone! 1. Write a story: You must use Microsoft word in order to post a story. Write up a chapter then save it to your documents or a folder you can open. It's best to title your chapter so you recognize it right away. 2. Login to your Fan Fic Account: You must have an account in order to post a story! So if you don't have one, get on it! Once you are in your account go under Publish and click on Document Manager (Upload). Once there you will see a typing area called Label. This is to help you keep track of which chapter is which. Type in the title of the chapter you want to post and then click on the Choose a file button. Your documents will automatically pop up and you will have to click on the saved chapter you wish to post. Save it as a Story Format once you have it selected. Then click on the Submit Document button. Your chapter will be saved in your document manager. 3. Edit/Preview: From here you can edit your chapters if you so wish. You can make as many changes as possible before submitting it. 4. Posting It: Once you have the chapter set exactly the way you want you can now Publish it! If this is a brand new story then you will go under the Publish tab and click on New Story. You have the guidelines really quick and agree to them and then click on New Story one last time. From there the website will guide you on how to properly categorize your story in the right setting. You will have to choose the what you are writing for, type in the title, give a small summary, choose the language, characters, ect. Then you will select the document you wish to post as the new story. You're story should then be ready to be published. 5. Updates: Once you have a new story posted you can continue to update it by following steps 1-3. But instead of clicking on New Story, you will go under Publish and click on My Stories. Your story will be there for you to edit. Once you are in the editing process you will click on Content/Chapters. Under Add a New Chapter you will select the document of the chapter you wish to post and give it a title if you wish. Then click on Add Chapter. Smut/Lemons/Limes: I have received a lot of requests since writing "Stay on Your Side." Many of you either have trouble or do not know how to start a good smut scene. While I do not write for other writers, I can give you some tips on how to write a good smut scene. 1. Inspiration: Any good sex scene needs good inspiration. Read other stories with sex scenes, go to erotica websites and learn from them. It is also easier to write a sexual scene when you are in the right mood. If necessary watch erotica or do something to help get you in the mood. You must also be considerate of the characters you have in the scene. Think of the charater and what type of sexual preference they might have: sensual, masochistic, hard-core, kinky, submissive, dominating, ect. 2. Personal Preference: Any way you write it, the scene is going to be some what personal. You will be revealing your own sexual fantasies, thoughts, and preferences. do not be afraid to let yourself go on a good sex scene. If you are not sure of what your sexual preference is then think of what other people would enjoy, what couples would enjoy. Try to mix it up and keep everyone in mind, be creative and understanding to what other people might enjoy (even if you don't.) 3. Sexy vs. Sluty: You want to be teasing and tasteful as opposed to gory and raw. Try to use a variety of words to describe the scene as opposed to using the same word over and over. Again it can depend on the characters, but most of the readers on this website are female. You don't want to make the scene read as disgusting or cheap. Even if the scene turns kinky and dirty, try to keep your word choice subtle, simple, but descriptive and detailed. 4. Virgin Alert! You do not have to have sex, or to have ever had sex to write a good smut scene. I myself am a virgin, but that does not necessarily mean that I myself don't have sexual thoughts, feelings, and desires. Like I've stated you can find good inspiration everywhere. For character writing of virgins it's important to keep in mind that everyone handles their first time differently. For some it is painful or uncomfortable. But there are some who do not feel the pain as much or the breaking of the wall. The way you choose to depict the first time is entirely up to you, but again a lot of people are different. 5. Education: Information is always helpful. For those of you who may not much about sex can read up on it through various websites (and I do mean scientific information). For virgins specifically I recommend going to youtube.com and taking a look at username kicesie, who can share with you many things about sex that have been helpful to me.
