July 31, 2009 - It was time to edit this a bit, and to thank all of you that have read the stories I've written, which by now are all Meredith & Derek. Those of you who comment, you have no idea how very much it means to read them and how very inspiring they are to get the next chapter written.

There's very little time to watch TV, but totally addicted to Grey's since the first show, and it was the relationship between Meredith & Derek that hooked me. As we come to the end of 2008, Meredith & Derek are the reason I still watch Grey's... almost anyone else could be gone and I'd watch as long as Ellen & Patrick are there to portray them.

After 4.11, I was so disappointed in Derek, and could not understand why Shonda Rhimes would kill McDreamy, in my eyes at least, so I decided to write my first fic, and attempt to make McDreamy redeemable. There was really no reason for him to kiss the nurse, or ask her on a date, the same day he "broke" up with Meredith. It has now been 18 months since I began writing Shattered Dreams, and still cannot fathom why there was a need for Rose.

Looking back over the last 11 months of writing this story, I can tell you it has been fabulous therapy to begin their healing process and get them to where they are today, their wedding night. I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have enjoyed sharing it with you. There's a bit more of the story to tell, since as a reader I don't like loose ends or abrupt changes, and Meredith's dream was "prophetic" and after so many of you have continued to read and be so enthusiastic, I want you give you a glimpse of their dreams being fulfilled.

Thank you all so very much for reading, 174 chapters, 721,908 words and for every one of the 1,383 comments, each of which inspires me to write the next chapter.

March 21, 2009 - Much like the Grey's therapy needed after 4.11 when I started writing my first fiction, the second, which is intended only as a three part story, at the very least dealing with one aspect of Grey's - what leads up to the engagement, also was a result of watching a scene unfold that left a disappointing feeling.

Thus, "Painful Doubts" took over the need to reconcile Derek's drunken verbal words to Meredith. Hoping Grey's will deal with that resolution in a way that makes the engagement all that it deserves to be, and not tainted by quick fix intended to gain ratings or retain viewers.

July 31, 2009 - There's 3 more stories that have been added, regrettably each of them as a result of watching the episode and feeling there should have been more. We got an engagement ring that was batted away and Meredith does not want to wear; a wedding that was given away, and at the end of the season a post it note for a wedding, which I found sweet, romantic, tender even as a prelude to a wedding. Not as their wedding! Hence, three more stories were born as additional "Grey's" therapy!
