Looking at fanfiction.net in relation to that old Latin proverb, I'll
have to say that the entities that run this joint are the best artists
in the universe.
But in all seriousness, I like to dabble here
once and awhile. Some of my stuff is bad, some of it is
tolerable, but all of it can be analyzed. If you enjoy any of it,
fine, but if it made you think, then I accomplished my goal. I'm
working to improve myself and my writing all the time, as any aspiring
writer should do.
"Good" writing can always be better, but
it won't get that way on its own. Keep that in mind whenever you
drop a simple "good job" review. It doesn't help, and can
actually impede the process of development. If you have to be an
ass about something, please do it. Whether the recepient knows it
or not, you're helping. If they understand that, then it's worth your time to give them a hand.
