Hi, thank you for looking at my page. I'm known as Lily, though my real name is another flower of the world. The pseudonym is borrowed from my cat; she's not a writer, so gave me gracious permission to use it. I'm living, for the present, it may change again, in the North West of England.
I'm writing CSI NY fan fic at the moment, and can't seem to stop :D
Reviews are wonderful! I love sending and receiving them, and I will always reply to ones I receive. It's great to know what readers think of my work, and it's been huge fun so far joining in! If I read a story and enjoy it, I will always review, and always appreciate replies. I love to hear from fellow writers and readers, feel free to get in touch!
CSI NY is one of my favourite TV shows, and I write mostly stories centering on Mac and Stella, without neglecting the rest of the team however. Flack and Sid are characters I'm very fond of too. I also write a bit of Danny / Lindsay, and Flack / Angell and help sarramaks with their community - 'Just The Place'. Suggestions and ideas always welcome. I love a hint of mystery; and have cliff-hangers and twists in most of my stories!
In progress is 'LOST LETTERS' a case story; suspense and drama as an unusual piece of evidence draws the whole team into danger
I WON SOMETHING! Thank you to everyone who voted me Best Mac/Stella author in the Fan Fic awards '08, as well as voting 'Falling Leaves' second in two categories. I'm really happy :D
Fan fic I started writing a while ago, as a slightly guilty and secret pleasure, after reading Elinor Brent-Dyer's Chalet School series, when my mum suggested I write one of my own. This was on seeing my dismay as I realised there were only 62 books in the series - I'm a fast reader. I wrote a VERY BAD story called 'Murder at the Chalet School' (foreshadowing things to come) which will never see the light of day. Many characters didn't make it to the end of the story. Things improved, I think, and I wrote stories for X Files, Casualty and Star Trek: Voyager.
Writing is something I love and have done since I could hold a pen. I write for fun and because I just have to - the words and ideas have to come out of my head and onto paper. I'm studying for an MA, and my ambition is to see some more work in print. I'm working on a script, a non-fiction book and a children's novel, in between CSI NY fics of course.
Some favourite books and authors: Elinor Brent-Dyer, E E Cowper, Helen Cresswell, Susan Cooper, Diana Wynne Jones, Vivien Alcock, Robert Westall, Susan Hill, Alexander McCall Smith, Edmund Crispin, Tolkien, Watership Down, Edith Nesbit, Terry Pratchett, Barbara Sleigh, The Princess and the Goblin (George MacDonald) Margaret Oliphant, Elizabeth Gaskell, Angela Carter, Philip Pullman, Eoin Colfer, Come Back Lucy, Charlotte Sometimes, The Ghost in the Water, A Pattern of Roses, Thomas Hardy (poems)

Other stuff: I love acting; I'm a voracious reader; now and again I try photography (the image above is my own); I walk miles every day; I swim a lot, sometimes in the freezing Cornish sea; I play tennis and badminton, quite badly; I have an inner anorak, and love steam trains, and would love to drive one - my dad has driven the Hogwarts Express train! I can recognise the sound of a Ford Fiesta engine blindfold, and I can dowse for water.
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy my stories, it's always nice to hear from people. Best wishes, Lily x
