My name is Dreetje (not my real name) and I'm from Belgium. I graduated from a Belgian University and I'm currently employed in London.

I have been a vivid reader of fanfics for about 2 years now. And I have read a lot of stories. Some good, some bad, some amazing ones.

Now for a long time I wanted to write my own story but I never found the time or the confidence to write a decent story. But the last few months I realized that thanks to all the stories I had read I actually had some idea's (some already done before, some not) and I really wanted to write my own story. So I decided to give it a try.

I started reading fanfiction about Harry Potter but after having read hundred of stories I'm beginning to lose interest in Harry Potter fanfiction. I still follow some of the ongoing stories that I like but a lot of the new stories just aren't as good or original as before. I know this is not the fault of the writers, there's just so many clichés that come back in a lot of stories. It's not easy to make an original story when there are thousands of stories out there. Also a lot of stories are discontinued of just not updated, which is sad because there a lot of really good ones out there

Now however, I'm reading more and more Naruto fanfics. I follow the manga every week, and read some really good fanfics about Naruto. Though the manga sometimes gets me pissed off because of several reasons, I really like the story. So I decided to write my own Naruto fanfic.

I like stories where the main character is strong but not all powerful that nobody else can beat him/her. I also like stories where the pairings are between the main character and an unusual character. It gives an extra dimension to the story in my opinion. You can be more creative that way.

My own story will be a Naruto/Anko pairing. Though I will follow the main story some elements will be AU and the character will be somewhat different than the original but for the main part I will remain as true to the characters as I can.

I find myself a bit lost in the world of fanfiction lately. A lot of Harry Potter or Naruto fanfictions feature slash couples. I don't have anything against gay people be they man or woman or people who read slash fanfiction but lately most interesting stories I seem to find who might be fun to read are slash. I wonder where all these stories come from and why the hetero couple fanfiction seems to decrease in both number and quality. Maybe someone has an answer ready for me? let me know.

I have started on a second story. It's a Harry Potter story starting from the beginning until the end (whenever that is) and it will be AU. Just like with my Naruto story I will follow the main canon story line but will make changes along the way. It will be a Harry/Hermione pairing (that's one of my favorites) so no harem or OC's. Harry will be different from canon in many way's and will eventually become independent.

Recently I began thinking about adding Tonks to the pairing. She's always been one of my favorite characters in Harry Potter (both Canon and fanfiction) and I think I can make it work. If I decide to add her to the pairing it won't be until forth or fifth year although she will meet both Harry and Hermione earlier in the story. Even if she doesn't make to the pairing she will be in the story much sooner than in canon. I believe she would make an excellent addition to the pairing as she's a carefree character whose playfulness would give H/Hr a chance to slow down a bit. H/Hr can be a little too serious in my opinion and Tonks would make sure they have fun and fool around every now and then.

There's a new poll regarding this subject so all those who want to can vote. I do reserve the right to decide weither or not I do the pairing regardless of the results.

I've been having thoughts about writing a story with a female Naruto. Lately a few stories have caught my eye featuring a male Naruto that gets transformed into a girl by some sort of interference (like Orochimaru messing with the seal, or Kyuubi). I especially like EroSlackerMicha's story 'He said, She said' in that genre. Just to make things different my story would be with a female born Naruto. so NO transformation from boy to girl or anything like that. The pairing would be Yuri and most possibly be with a female Haku. No harem. If you would like to read such a story please vote in the poll above and i'll start writing on it. Beware even if I start writing I won't post as often as my other two stories as those have my full attention. So if this story gets publisched it will have slow updates.

AN 20/02/2009

I have been informed by a reader that yet another writer has used copied parts of my story in his/her own. This time the offender is called Shinobilegend (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1502418/shinobilegend) and the copied part can be found in Chapter 6 where the preliminaries of the finals of the Chuunin Exams find place. It is a word for word copy from when the first fight starts (Sasuke vs Ino) until the start of Hinata vs Negi (which isn't mine anymore) but everything between them is mine.

Lately I've seen that plagiarism is a real plague here on Fanfiction.net. This is the second time I have to deal with it and I myself have noticed and warned other writers that their story is being copied several times. I find it disgusting that these so called writers just think it's okay to steal another person's work and I for one will report them each and every time. Asking nicely doesn't seem to work most of the time so it doesn't leave us much of a choice if we want to protect our work.

I hope shinobilegend agrees with my PM and that he removes that part of his chapter without whining and crying about it. I can and will not accept such actions from other writers. If you're a writer then write the story yourself and don't copy others word for word. Using ideas is fine but you CAN'T just copy people's work and claim it as your own.

I have also no problem with people who use my own personal created Jutsu if they give me credit for it. I don't care if it's just a small request by PM or mentioning it in a AN in the chapter itself. I try to do the same thing as well. So far I haven't really used anyone else's techniques although some might already been done or resemble them. I'm talking about the exact same technique (how it works, the name, etc..) if you use those exact same techniques then I would like to be mentioned as the orginal creator. To make it clear what my orginal Jusu are, I have listed them below.

Katon: Haretsu Ryusei No Jutsu (Naruto uses this Jutsu to create dozen of small fireballs that explode on impact. The fireballs fall down from the sky after Naruto's breathes them out.)

Suiton: Dekishi Dama No Jutsu (A Suiton Jutsu that allows Naruto to create a bubble of water around an enemies head. It can be used to drown or distract the enemy)

Katon: Kaen Mushi No Jutsu (A katon Jutsu that make a whip of fire. Naruto uses a hilt like from a sword and attaches the whip to it. It burns and deals damage like a normal whip as well.)

Katon: Kaen Ya No Jutsu (This Jutsu make arrows made from fire that Naruto can shoot out at great speed and accuracy.)

Doton: Chijou Yari No Jutsu (This Jutsu create large spikes of earth shoot out of the ground like spears. It's a powerful techniques but the problem with it is that it's designed to affect a large area making it impossible to use if you have allies in the field.)

Uzumaki Kenjutsu: Tengoku Saidan Kaze No Jutsu (This is the first of Naruto’s original Kenjutsu techniques. It created as cutting wind by bringing down his sword from right to left. The wind is infused with Naruto’s chakra that was stored into the seal. Using that chakra the wind becomes very sharp and it is used as a long range attack.)

Uzumaki Kenjutsu: Tenjou Saidan Kaze No Jutsu (This is the same jutsu as before only Naruto makes a clone which mirrors his attack. So while Naruto makes a right to left slash, his clone makes a left to right one resulting in a X shaped attack with twice the cutting power of ‘Tengoku Saidan Kaze No Jutsu’)

Uzumaki Kenjutsu: Kaze Dangan No Jutsu (In this technique Naruto makes a stabbing motion with his sword. By doing that he expulses the chakra gathered in the seal on his sword and creates a bullet that will travel in a straight line towards the enemy.)

Hiden Uzumaki Kenjutsu: Gingaku Saidan Kaze No Jutsu (This is the first secret technique of Naruto’s Kenjutsu style. He makes five Kage Bunshins and each one performs the ‘Kaze Dangan no Jutsu’. So six bullets impact the enemy’s body but each bullet is aimed at a vital point. Naruto based this technique on Zabuza’s silent killing style. He aims the bullets at the heart, lungs, liver and kidneys making getting hit by this technique an instant death.)

Katon: Nenchaku Bakuhatsu Hotaru No Jutsu (In this Jutsu Naruto creates small Fireflies that attach themselves to his enemy. He can detonate them from a distance just by snapping his fingers. He can choose to detonate them one at a time or all at the same time.)
