This spring/summer, I participated in SpyFest, which is the first ever Alex Rider fic exchange! SpyFest was run by the ever gorgeous and amazing Arithilim (who just happens to have some pretty epic fics, btw). The all-new Alex Rider Flashfic community: Flash Rider

Since collaborative and projects are going well right now, Arithilim and I bring you yet another!

We decided that Alex really needed a flash fiction community, because flash fic is really, really fun. So, we trotted on over to LiveJournal and made one.

For those of you who may not know what a flash fiction is, it's a challenge for authors to write stories 1000 words and under in a specific amount of time. In our case, that specific amount of time is monthly.

You do not have to have an account on LJ to participate - details on that and everything else under the AR sun are over there on the community.

It looks to be great fun, and we hope to see you there!

Heya! I'm Jusmine (not my real name. Just a penname. :D). I'm a girl. There. The basics are over with! lol. Anyway, all that's left to say is that I'm...sort of obsessed with music. Cello, piano and singing, mostly, and of course, listening to a lot of music. Otherwise...Well, I don't do much else aside from music, reading, writing, and playing tennis. That's me in a nutshell!

I think that's all (For the moment...). Oh, yeah, and I am a firm believer that RAP stands for Retards Attempting Poetry. I will also not listen to jazz, or (gasp evil) gospel.

Favorite TV show- It used to be a battle between Stargate: SG-1 and Smallville, but then I discovered Supernatural. Dean is awesome! So is Sam, of course, but Dean is way hotter! :D

Fandoms - I read mainly in the Alex Rider fandom, the Harry Potter fandom, and the Ocean's 11 fandom, but I occasionally poke around in other fandoms, too. :D

So far, I have written for only Alex Rider and Harry Potter, but maybe I'll write some other stuff as well. Like Merlin! After I actually manage to finish the AR plot bunnies running (hopping?) around in my head, that is.

My Works

I won't tell you all about the stories on this account (I'd prefer that you just read and review them. :P) but I wanted to tell you about a few collaboratives that I'm a part of.

The Terrifying Fairies is a collaborative with Arithilim and Mad Mogg. Crack fics starring Alex and K Unit are our specialty. I have a fic posted there: The Best of KUnit. I have now posted chapter two of that. So go read it and review! :D

The Firm is a collaborative led by camnstarr4eva. Basically what The Firm is is a group of AR authors writing a story together, round robin style. We've started now, so watch for a story from us soon. :D

Top Ten Reasons Why Gay Marriage Is Wrong:

1) Being gay is not natural. Real America has always reject unnatural things like glasses, plastic surgery, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and
can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed. The sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed!

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans
